Calculation of the roof slope from the profiled sheet. Roof angle in relative sizes. Classification of roofing structures

  • The main reasons that influence the choice of the angle of inclination
  • Calculation of the angle of inclination
  • Calculation of the roof under the snow load
  • Calculation of wind loads
  • The basic requirements for the installation of roofs from proflista

The minimum slope of the roof from the profiled sheet, as well as the maximum one, is chosen not only from the design conditions and the appearance of the structure. When choosing the slope angle on the roofs, many different factors must be considered: from weather conditions to the size of the site and the views of neighbors. To choose the desired option, taking into account all the parameters and appearance of the building is quite difficult.

When constructing a roof, one of the most important parameters, laid in the calculations - is its bias. It depends on the material used and the climatic conditions.

For optimal use of the attic space of a residential building in the form of an attic space, it is possible to arrange a broken roof with two ramp angles. Upper part with a slight slope, lower - depending on the size of the structure.

The main reasons that influence the choice of the angle of inclination

The basic conditions that affect the choice of roof slope from the corrugated board:

  • speed and prevailing wind direction;
  • average amount of precipitation in the form of rain;
  • average height of snow.

The roof with a slight slope has a small sail, in the presence of cornices, pediments and other elements is almost not affected by wind. Orientation of the wind rose in this version is not required. In regions with frequent strong torrential rains and thunderstorms, special attention should be given to the reliability of joints in the construction of the roof. A large amount of water with a slight slope will not have time to drain from the roof, some moisture can penetrate under the roof in the absence of sealing joints.

In the area with a long winter and a lot of snow deposits on the roofs can accumulate a large layer of snow. A small slope will not allow the layer to slip under its weight. Loads on the construction will increase several times, especially during thaws and early spring. With insufficient strength, the roof structure can not withstand the loads and deform. The collapse of the entire structure is possible. Such roofs need to be cleaned periodically throughout the winter.

To ensure the reliability of roofs with minimal inclination  It is necessary to strengthen the entire structure, use additional stiffening elements for the rafter system. When choosing a profiled sheet, you need to take into account its configuration. Sheets with high wave have greater rigidity than the profile for walls and universal. The optimal option should be chosen, based on the cost of material for the roofing and lumber.

Calculation of the angle of inclination

As an example, you can use a gable roof with a ridge, located exactly in the middle of the building. Initial data:

  • length of the wall - 12 m;
  • height of the roof - 3 m.

Since the roof ridge is located in the center of the building, the shape of the roof will consist of two rectangular triangles with a common catheter - the height of the roof. The second legs will be equal to half the length of the wall. From the available sizes it is possible to determine the tangent of the angle between any of the skates and the horizontal surface:

  • 3: 6 = 0,5.

Using the Bradys table or calculator, you can determine the angle:

  • 0.5 = tg 27 °

The angle of inclination of each of the rays is 27 °. Using another function, you can determine the length of the ramp without considering the release. Quite often, the calculations are based not on the angle of inclination in degrees, but rather on the relative units or the percentage ratio between the length of the horizontal projection of the ramp and the height of the roof. In this example, the relative value will be ½ or 0.5. The relative value is expressed in fractional numbers, which is not always convenient and understandable in calculations. For a more visual representation, the percentage is used. To determine the percentage, you need to multiply the relative value by 100%:

  • 0.5 x 100 = 50%.

It should be understood that for a roof with an angle of inclination of 45 °, the percentage ratio will be 100%, since the height of the roof and the length of the projection will be equal.

In terms of the slope of the roof can be divided into the following types:

  • flat, tilt angle up to 8 °;
  • with a small inclination from 8 ° to 12 °;
  • optimal from 12 ° to 30 °;
  • steep more than 30 °.

For the manufacture of flat roofs  usually apply concrete plates  and soft roof. Used mainly in the construction of large industrial buildings, warehouses. Roofs with a small bias are used in the construction of industrial facilities and private facilities. Can have a different configuration. Shed roofs  are used in the construction of garages, sheds, canopies for various purposes, small warehouses. Gable roofs are often used in the construction of bathhouses, summer kitchens, arbors, living quarters.

Most widely used roofs with the optimal angle of inclination. They are used in the construction of buildings for various purposes. The configuration can be any. Steep roofs are most often used in residential and office buildings. In addition to the main purpose, perform decorative functions. The most popular material for the device of all types of roofs is a profiled sheet.

Calculation of the roof under the snow load

Loads of snow cover are especially relevant for roofs with a small angle of inclination. The amount of falling snow is very different throughout the country. Based on long-term observations and measurements, the territory is divided into 8 main zones, reflecting the load level on a flat surface.

To calculate the load on the roof, you need to use the formula:

  • Рсн = Рсн.т * μ;
  • where: Рсн.т - snow pressure for a horizontal surface;
  • μ is the correction factor as a function of the slope α.

If the angle of inclination of the ramp is not more than 25 °, μ = 1, from 25 ° to 60 ° - μ = 0.7, with a greater inclination the load is not taken into account, snow can not hold. Example: The structure is in the fourth zone with a load of 240/168 kg / m 2. The planned inclination angle of the roof is 35 °.

The first limit is:

  • 240 x 0.7 = 168 kg / m 2.

On the second:

  • 168 x 0.7 = 117.6 kg / m 2.

The material from which will consist roof covering  residential building or industrial facility, depends on your wishes and financial possibilities, as well as on the type of roof. Its longevity on the roof will depend on the quality of installation, the norms of which are given in the SNIP roof of profiled sheeting. From this article you will be able to find out the main points of the roof installation with corrugated board, the basis for the implementation of which are general regulatory requirements.

Characteristics of the material

As you guessed, it will be about the roof of corrugated board. Therefore, we will pay little attention to the characterization of this building material. Profiled sheeting is obtained from galvanized sheet by cold rolling.

The profile in the form of a wave or trapezium is coated on both sides with an anticorrosive, resistant coating, which differs by application technology and color.

Profiled sheeting has several categories of purposes:

  • roofing material;
  • wall elements;
  • bearing structures.

Profiled sheeting with the designation C is used as wall material, H - roofing, HC - it is possible to use both in wall and roof construction. In addition, profiled sheets can be produced with different thicknesses of metal, but of equal height. The length of the profile can be from 0.5 to 12 m.

Attention. For the roofing, in most cases, a material is used whose profile height is greater than 35 mm. And on the roofs with a small length of the ramp, a profile with a wave height of 21 mm and the designation H, HC is used.

Use of roofing material

The use of profiled sheets with a corrugation height of 44 cm for the installation of the roof is due to the roofing of the corrugated SNIP, the positions of which provide for the use of steel profiles with an aluminum or zinc coating as a roofing covering having an additional coating on a polymer base.

Polymer coating acts as a protective and decorative layer.

The basis for profiled sheeting can be:

According to the building rules, their load-bearing capacity is determined from the calculation of the load on the roof of the main material and the wind force of a particular climatic zone.

Provided for the presence of aprons made of galvanized metal sheets with a polymer coating for joining the profiled roof sheet to the wall.

Shaped roofing elements for finishing the roof passes from the corrugated board have a comb, similar to the cross-sectional shape of the profile.

In addition to the shaped elements (ridge, eaves, waste gutters) are used for roofing roof accessories:

  • snow barriers;
  • plugs;
  • seals of the ridge and so on.

A solid base is mounted at the point of the gutter arrangement. Its thickness is similar to the thickness of the crate.

Profiled sheets can be used in this capacity:

  • piece roofing sheet for cold (not insulated) roof;
  • sheet in the composition of a heat-insulated coating, made by assembling several layers.

Constructive decisions

According to the building standards, the profitable use of profiled sheets is indicated on buildings whose length of slope does not exceed 12 m. When the length of the ramp is increased, the roofing profile material is mounted along the ramp with a dimension of overlap of 200 mm, in the transverse direction from the ramp - overlap in one wave.

Between them, the corrugated board is fixed with self-tapping screws having a sealing washer 1 mm thick.

On roofs with a small slope, the transverse and longitudinal joints of profiled sheets are sealed with silicone or thiocarbon sealants. Fastening of additional elements of a roof to a corrugated board is carried out on rivets.

From constructive solutions  The presence on the roof of the metal profile of one or two ventilation ducts depends. Ventilation is carried out through a pipe or a skate.

Roof pitch

Profiled sheets are preferably used on roofs of buildings with an angle of inclination of 20 degrees. It is allowed for industrial objects with a self-supporting profile, the minimum roof slope from the corrugated board is not less than 8 degrees, and for residential buildings - from 10 degrees.

The joint of the corrugated board is overlapped in length according to the slope:

  • at an angle of 15-30 degrees - an overlap of 200 mm;
  • 30 degrees and more than -150 mm;
  • less than 15 degrees - overlap on two waves with sealing joints.

As we have already pointed out, the laying of the corrugated board is done on a wooden base. Depending on the slope of the roof, the pitch of the base plate changes.

It can be from 300 to 4000 mm. Increasing the angle of inclination increases the pitch. The construction norms stipulate that the deviation of the slope from a given level should not exceed 5%.

Council. On roofs with a small bias it is more expedient to use a continuous crate.

For profiled sheets, the crate unit is designed in this way:

  • The frame of the crate is attached to truss system;
  • For manufacturing, bars 50x50 mm are taken;
  • The step of the battens can be continuous or have a certain discharge.

According to SNIP, for a roof with a slope of 20 degrees, the pitch is 20-40 cm, and the minimum thickness of the slats is 30 mm. Planks of the crate, which are placed along the eaves should be thicker than the main ones.

Attention. On the roofs at the outlet points of smoke or ventilated pipes, an additional crate must be installed.

Installation of materials

Materials, mounted in strict sequence and correctly, form a roofing cake for profiled sheeting. According to the building rules, the construction of the roofing cake includes:

  • basic coating;
  • heater;
  • insulating membranes.

Each layer in this construction is inextricably linked and has a certain value. An error in the arrangement of one leads to a decrease in the basic characteristics of the roof and its service life.

Constructively competently assembled "pie" excludes the following phenomena:

  • heat loss;
  • warm up;
  • formation of condensate;
  • formation of ice.

The basic building rules for the roofing system include its effective thermal insulation, which:

  • minimizes the loss of heat through the roof;
  • prevents surface condensation.

Installation of a heater is done between the rafters. According to SNIP, to prevent the blowing of the coating on the heater, an anti-wind barrier must be installed. In his capacity are roll material  vapor permeable material.

The sealer performs the following functions:

  • stops the heating of the roof space;
  • soundproofed room.

According to the norms of SNIP, the thickness of the insulation for our area is 250 mm.

The vapor barrier layer in the roofing cake prevents moisture from entering the insulation from the room.

Steam insulation films are attached to the inner side of the thermal insulation layer in a vertical or horizontal direction with respect to the supporting wooden structure. The overlap size when stacking is 10 cm.

The waterproofing layer protects the insulation from the penetration of condensate, which is formed from the bottom of profiled sheets. Waterproofing membranes or films are attached to the rafters in a horizontal direction.

When laying the following requirements are met:

  • rafters, the distance between which is not more than 1.2 m;
  • the height of the film should not exceed 2 cm.

Attention. When installing waterproofing, the protective layer should not touch the surface of the insulation.

Warming of the coating

Thermal profiles are used for the application of heat-insulated coatings to reduce the effect of heat and cold, and profiled profiles are used between the corrugated board and the girdle to ensure the installation of gaskets with a thickness of 10 mm3 of baked plywood, painted with chlorovinyl enamel.

For c thermal insulation material, relating to the 1-4 group of flammability, it is planned to fill the corrugations of the flooring with materials of non-combustible groups for a length of 25 cm at the joints of the coating and walls, and also along the sides of the ridge.

Provision is made for compliance with the building requirements and rules described in the article. Only precise execution will ensure that the roof construction is reliable and brings comfort to all people living in the house. So, let's hope that how to cover the roof with profiled sheeting, you now know for sure!

Why, when talking about pitched roofs, is it always mentioned about the angle of its slopes? The question is actually one of the most serious, because it is on this indicator that the quality of the removal of rain and meltwater depends. But it is they who are basically opposed by the roof. That is, many structural, and operational, features of the roofing system depend precisely on the angle of its inclination.

To begin with, let us determine what conditions affect the choice of this indicator. There are not so many of them.

The minimum grade for roofs made from corrugated board

With the conditions for choosing the slope pitched roof  defined. But we are interested in exactly profiled, and with this roofing material of problems much more. And that's why?

Firstly, the corrugated board itself is a large variety of sheets that differ from each other in the dimensions of the wave and in the thickness of the metal. Accordingly, the approach to selection should be based on these indicators. Secondly, there are already certain standards in which experts have defined precisely with angles of inclination. And this is what is indicated in the SNiP. To see what the angle is, look at the photo below.

The angle of inclination has different units of measurement. This can be a degree, percentages and ratios. For example, one degree is equal to the rules of 1.7%, but with 45 ° - it's all 100%. The same rules determined that for roofs made from corrugated board the best option  the slope of its rays is 25 °. But this is not the minimum size.

I = h (1/2) L, where

  • I is the slope angle of the slope;
  • h - height of the roof;
  • L is the width.

If the construction of the roof is broken, the calculation becomes more complicated, because each individual slope must be taken into account and the average value calculated. But the angle of inclination itself can be changed, that is, away from the design design value. For this it is only necessary to change the height of the ridge. However, SniPh has certain standards that ensure the reliability of the roof construction. You can not just lower or increase the height of the roof as you see fit. For this, the coefficients are used. For example:

  • If the minimum degree of slope of the roof is 5, then for the height of the structure, you can use a factor of 0.8.
  • For the 15 ° - 0,26.
  • For 25 ° it is 0.47.
  • For 30 ° it is 0.59.
  • For 45 ° it is 1.0.
  • For 60 ° it is 1.78.

Minimum grade

Now, with regard to the minimum slope of the roof covered with corrugated board. In the same Sni it is indicated that this indicator for residential and production buildings  varies greatly. So, for example, for residential buildings, the minimum grade will be 12 °, for production 8 °.

In this case, experts pay attention to the fact that all roofs with a slope angle of skates less than 12 ° are equipped with more stringent requirements. Especially it concerns the sealing of the joints of the corrugated board with each other and the places where they join other structures and devices. The main task in this case is to eliminate the possibility of leaks. Therefore, there are strict values of overlapping sheets of corrugated sheets with each other. Namely:

  • If the slope of the slope is less than 12 °, then the overlapping of the corrugated sheets should be 20 cm, and it is recommended that they be sealed by any possible means. Most often, special mastics or silicone sealants are used for this.
  • At a slope of 12-15 ° - the overlap is 20 cm.
  • Angle of inclination 15-30 ° - overlap of 15-20 cm.
  • More than 30 ° - an overlap of 10-15 cm.

There is one more position that will affect the expenditure item of building your own house. This is the number of used lumber. Here the connection is this. If the angle of inclination of the roof slopes is minimal, then such a roof will experience a maximum load. And this means that it will be necessary to strengthen both the roofing system and the crate.

This is usually done by reducing the distance between the rafter and the elements of the crate. Or you can not do all this, but use materials of large cross-sections for construction. For example, to use planks for planking thickness not 32 mm, but 50 mm. And the first and second option lead to an increase in the cost of building materials, and accordingly the roof itself under the corrugated board. True, here it is necessary to take into account the thickness of the sheet. The thicker the sheet, the more load it can withstand. The same applies to the dimensions of the corrugated wave.

What is the minimum roof slope from the corrugated board to choose for your own house? Will the default minimum value be the most the best option? There are many questions, let's look at the positive and negative aspects of all the ranges discussed above.

Let's start with the minimum value, that is, from the position 12-15 °. What are the advantages of this roof construction:

  • Simplicity of the roof system itself.
  • The minimum expenditure on material costs.
  • Simplicity of the installation process, which you can handle with your own hands.
  • High wind resistance.

The disadvantages are:

  • High probability of precipitation falling under the roofing material.
  • It will be necessary to clean such a roof from snow, besides manually.
  • Usually under such a roof, an attic and an attic are not built.

If the minimum roof slope is greater than 45 °, what are the pros and cons. The merits of this bias include:

  • Zero probability of water entering the joints of corrugated sheets.
  • Under the roof you can organize a residential or utility room.
  • Snow in the winter period on the slopes will not be deposited, which will reduce the load on the roof construction of the house.

And disadvantages:

  • In order to reduce the avalanche-like drop in snow, it will be necessary to install snow-holders. And this is regular expenses.
  • It is very inconvenient to mount a corrugated board on such a roof.
  • Increases the sail structure.

Conclusion on the topic

Choosing minimum angle  the slope of the roof, covered with corrugated board, for your home, it is necessary to take into account a sufficiently large list of norms and requirements. But there are basic values to which you should pay attention. And use them when choosing the shape of the skates. For example, the height of the corrugation wave of 60 mm indicates that this roofing material will work perfectly and on roofs with a minimum inclination angle, that is, 8 °. In addition, the minimum angle is a conditional parameter, because the corrugated board can be installed even on flat roofs.

  • What is the minimum inclination angle of the roof

    • How to properly fix profiled roofs

During construction, preference is often given to the roofing from the corrugated board. The choice of profiled iron as a coating is often due to the ease of laying the profiled sheets and their inexpensive price.

The minimum slope of the roof from sheets of corrugated iron corrugated board can be different, and depends on the climate of the terrain and the shape of the structure.

The angle of the rafters is a normative indicator. It should be adhered to, guided by SNiP, which allows you to choose the slope, considering all the parameters of the building. When constructing the roof from the profiled sheet, the type of room, the roof structure and the functionality of the building are taken into account. The service life of the roof from the corrugated board directly depends on the skill and skill of the workers who made the roof construction and installation work. The use of a profiled sheet requires a well-defined angle of inclination and the corresponding construction of the rafters. The minimum slope of the roof from the corrugated board can be any, but not less than 8 °.

Galvanized sheets cover different types of buildings. They are used to create roofs of industrial objects, canopies, garages, apartment houses, country houses and semi-enclosed arbors. This type of coating is made by cold rolling of galvanized sheet metal. The profiled sheet has factory markings, which directly indicate what it is intended for. To select "H" - roofing or "HC" - a universal option. The difference of different grades of profiled sheet depends on the height of the wave, the thickness of the steel sheet and the overall rigidity of the designed structure.

What should be the roofing cake

Roof pie when creating a roof made of corrugated board consists of:

  • the main coating;
  • insulation;
  • insulating membrane.

Each layer has its own functions. All the components of the roofing pie must be present in the installation of the coating, without fail, otherwise the roof of the profiled sheet will allow moisture and cold to pass through. In case of serious violations installation works  On the arrangement of the roof from the corrugated board, a collapse of the created structure may occur.

The installation of a heater, one of the constituent pie, is one of the most important jobs when building a roof. It fits between the rafters and is needed for thermal insulation, in order to maintain the internal temperature of the room. On top of the heater cover with anti-wind coating, which is the second layer of the pie. This layer is necessary for the insulation of air flows that come from outside. Anti-wind coat improves the insulator's ability to heat insulation.

Laying the profile is the third layer of the pie, which must be properly mounted. After the layer of insulation is laid, the crate is made, onto which the profile sheets are laid. To do this, take wooden blocks of at least 3 cm thick, and make them both transverse and longitudinal beams. The distance between the beams is calculated taking into account the size of the profiled metal sheets used, minus 10 cm overlap on each sheet.

It is necessary to make a gap between the layers of hydro- and thermal insulation and roofing material. This gap may be equal to the thickness of the beams from which the crate is built, or be slightly larger.

When using additional stiffeners, you can extend the life of the building several times.

What is the minimum inclination angle of the roof

The angle of inclination of the roof is determined depending on the gravity of the roof itself from the profiled sheet, the operating conditions and the effects of precipitation and winds, which are typical for the area.

SNiP states that any building can be covered using profiled sheeting, making the slope of the ramp not less than 8 °. With such a device, the slope will not allow precipitation to penetrate the roof.

  1. Optimal option, if the rafter slope for the roof of the profile will be equal to 20 °.
  2. For premises of industrial and economic purposes, the slope is 8 °.
  3. For residential premises, the minimum slope is 10 °.

We take into account the angle of inclination at the device of the crate

The slope of the roof from the corrugated board is directly connected with such a concept as the way of laying roofing material. It is required to take into account during the work on the construction of the roof from the corrugated board to comply with all the rules of laying and operating the building. From the angle of inclination depends on the device of the crate and the value of the overlap of the profiled sheets.

At an angle of 8 °, the step of the battens is 40 cm, with a different degree of slope, any distance corresponding to dimensions in the range of 0.5 m to 1 m can be used.

With an inclination angle above 20 °, the pitch can vary from 30 cm to 65 cm.

Profiled sheeting is a practical, inexpensive and durable material with the help of which roofs of low-rise private houses, garden or farm buildings, production facilities are blocked. Roofs of this material are known for their reliability and resistance to corrosion. Given the correct calculation and installation, this design can last up to 20-25 years. The guarantee of the long service life of the corrugated board is considered to be the correctly chosen angle of the roof slope, on which the efficiency of water drainage and snow removal depends on the surface of the slope. In this article we will tell you about the recommended and minimum roof slope from the profiled sheet, which provides a sure waterproofing of the structure.

To properly choose the angle of the roof slope from the corrugated board, it is necessary to know the technical and operational properties of this material. It is made of rolled rolled steel with a thickness of 0.5-0.7 mm, which in the production process is covered with a zinc alloy and a polymer or paint coating. With the help of powerful rollers on the surface steel sheet  The trapezoidal or rectangular profile is squeezed out. The profiling process increases the strength and bearing capacity of this roofing material.  There are 3 categories of proflist:

  1. Wall. This category of corrugated board is made of the thinnest steel and has a small profile height. It is worth the wall profiled sheet is cheaper, and is used for walling, making fences and fences, constructing roofs with a small area.
  2. Carrier. The supporting profiled sheet is provided with additional stiffeners that increase the load-carrying capacity of the material. It is made of a thicker steel billet, has a profile height of up to 114 mm. It is used for the construction of garages, hangars, the device of ceilings and the creation of roofs with a large area and the distance between the rafters.
  3. Universal. The universal profiled sheet has average characteristics that allow using this material for most construction tasks. This type of coating is marked with the letters "NS"

Note! According to the building standards for the construction of floors as a roofing material, it is allowed to use a wall, carrier and universal profiled sheet if the profile height of the material exceeds 20 mm and the roof inclination angle is not less than 8 degrees.

Factors of slope selection

Unprofessional builders, unfamiliar with the construction norms, it often seems that the slope of the roof from the profiled sheet is chosen only in accordance with the architectural style of the structure and the taste of the customer. However, such an approach is a gross mistake, because the choice of this important indicator is influenced by factors that can be conditionally divided into 2 groups: technical and mechanical. The technical factors that are taken into account when determining the angle of inclination of the roof from the corrugated board are the properties of the material itself. The climatic factors include:

  • Determining the angle of inclination of the roof from the profiled sheet, first of all take into account the snow load. In regions where a lot of snow falls, make designs with a slope of 20-25 degrees to prevent the formation of a snow cap on the surface of the rays.
  • An important factor that is taken into account in the process of designing a roofing structure is the amount of falling rain. The more precipitation falls in the region of construction, the steeper the angle of the roof.
  • Also, the wind load affects the slope of the ramps from the profiled sheet. If in the construction area strong, gusty winds blow, then the roof is made more flat to reduce the sail structure.

Important! When determining the roof slope, the major factors are the recommendations of the roofing material manufacturer and the climatic conditions in the construction zone. After this, a design project is created reflecting the composition, cross-section and relative position of the elements of the rafter system.

Minimum grade

According to construction standards, the minimum permitted roof slope from the profiled sheet is 8 degrees, provided that a continuous or frequent crate is installed. However, experienced roofing masters claim that, observing some special conditions, this material can be stacked on more gently sloping stingrays. If the angle of inclination of the roof is less than the recommended overlap between the sheets increases, and the horizontal and vertical joints are treated with a silicone sealant. There are 3 types of roofs made of profiled sheet:

  • Low-grade. If the angle of the roof from the profiled sheet is less than 14 degrees to increase the waterproofing properties of the coating, horizontal and vertical overlap is increased to 20 cm, make a frequent or continuous crate, use a membrane material to protect the rafters from moisture. Each sheet of material overlaps the previous one by 3 waves, which reduces the useful area of the material, increasing the flow rate.
  • Middle-slope. If the slope of the roof is 15-30 degrees, then the overlap between the sheets of corrugated board is 15-20 cm, which corresponds to 1-2 waves. Such a slope of skates allows you to save money for doing roofing works  by increasing the useful area of the sheet.
  • Steeply inclined. If the roof slope exceeds 30 degrees, when installing the corrugated board, a minimum overlap of 10-15 cm is allowed, corresponding to 1 wave of material. At the same time for flooring you can use latticed crate with a step up to 25 cm.

Please note that when laying a profiled sheet, a clear pattern is observed: the smaller the slope angle of the ramps, the more overlap is needed between the sheets to protect the roof from leaks at the joints and tearing the material with gusts of wind.

Dependence of the type of the crate from slope

Production buildings most often overlap with a flat-type roof, household ones are of the same type, and residential buildings are covered with a two-slope, hip, and four-slope ones. Regardless of the type of roofing structure, the covering must be laid on reliable base, which withstands intensive loads, evenly distributes. The slope of the roof from the corrugated board affects:

  1. If the height of the material profile does not exceed 20 mm and the roof slope is less than 15 degrees, a solid base and a 2-3 cm thick board shall be installed to ensure reliable support.
  2. If the height of the profile is more than 35 mm and the roof slope is also less than 15 degrees, a grid base can be installed, the distance between the boards is 30 cm.
  3. If the height of the profile is 44 mm or more, and the roof slope exceeds 15 degrees, a 2-3 cm board trimmed with steps of 35-50 cm is used to mount the battens.

Take into account that any roof made of corrugated board, no matter how steep the slope angle is, requires the installation of a drainage system consisting of gutters, funnels, pipes, which is responsible for the collection and transfer of rainwater or meltwater to the storm sewer.
