Ecological compatibility  material - the reflective layer consists mainly of aluminum - this is natural material!! The foamed basis of EPS (foam polyethylene / foamed polyethylene foam) or NPE (non-crosslinked polyethylene, polyethylene foam) is polyethylene, which is used for production food packaging, he has admission  before contact with food products  (packages for food packaging).

LAVSAN  - It is a composite of aluminum and lavsan, to increase the strength characteristics and reflective properties. In addition, the material is resistant to acids and alkalis and does not conduct electric current.

Compared with mineral wool insulation - reflective insulation on foamed polyethylene - during installation absolutely harmless!! After installation, you will not have as much garbage as after mounting the min. cotton wool.

Installation very simple it is possible to carry out the hands  - the material is mounted with a reflective layer in the room. Originally fastened with a stapler to the wall, joints are glued reflective tape. Over the insulation mounted guides for the finishing material, the thickness of the guides from 1cm to 10cm. On top we fasten plasterboard, lining, facade panels, flooring, ceiling, etc.

If you conceive a repair and plan to buy a heater at a low price, then you have chosen the thermal insulation material that will help you to save both on the insulation and at work. For the installation of insulation with their own hands does not require special skills and tools.

Save time and money - we get comfort and warmth !!!

We produce insulating insulation in rolls:

Lovsan insulation belongs to the group of reflective insulation. These materials have a high ability to prevent heat loss. It is caused by applying a thin layer of metallized lavsan on the surface of the polymer web. The function of the coating is to reflect the radiant energy in the room and not to allow penetration outside the premises.

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET or lavsan) is a thermoplastic from the class of polyesters. The material is strong, resistant to wear and moisture. Polyester film is used in various industries - from the manufacture of packaging for food and medicine, to laminating the web used for thermal insulation. Wide possibilities of use are due to the properties of polyester: frost resistance, low vapor and gas permeability, strength to wear and tear.

For the thermal insulation of floors, roofs, walls, pipelines and ventilation systems, a metallized film is offered. It is a composite of aluminum and lavsan. Reflective material is welded with gassed polyethylene, which increases the resistance to heat and sound transmission.

The thickness of the metal layer determines the reflectivity of the insulation, if it is extremely thin, the infrared radiation is weakly beaten. The size and quality of aluminum spraying insulation can not be determined visually, so to protect yourself from forgery, it is worth buying products of famous brands: Izolon, Izodom, Penoplyus, Thermodom.

The lavsan insulation, welded to the foam polyethylene base, has several important advantages:

  • low thermal conductivity;
  • effect of sound insulation due to the presence of air interlayers;
  • protection from moisture and steam, due to the surface density and film resistance to moisture;
  • low weight and thickness of the insulation layer do not create a load on the structure and do not take up free space;
  • fire safety, the canvas does not burn and does not emit toxic fumes;
  • resistance to chemical reagents (acids and alkalis);
  • properties of a dielectric.

Technical characteristics of the lavsan thermal insulation

The universal material meets the sanitary requirements, it is safe for human health due to the use of environmentally friendly substances. PET is used as a packaging for products, and aluminum is a natural material. When the energy is reflected, the metallized surface retains room temperature, without heating under the influence of heat. The use of lavsan can reduce the thickness of the main insulation (mineral wool or foam) without reducing the insulation level.

The insulation is produced in rolls 25-50 m long and 1 m wide, with a thickness of 2-10 mm.

Foamed polyethylene of increased strength, laminated with lavsan, has the following technical characteristics:

  • reflective effect - 90%;
  • coefficient of thermal conductivity - 0.035 W / m * K;
  • vapor permeability - 0,001;
  • water absorption - 1-2%;
  • operating temperature - from -60º to + 100º C;
  • density is 30-45 kg / cu. m.

Use of lavsan film for installation of a "warm" floor

A special popularity lavsan insulation got as a substrate when installing a system of "warm" floor. For an efficient heating operation, a uniform heat distribution is necessary. Reflective insulation prevents energy loss through the base, and the infrared waves radiated by the heating element beat into the room. The waterproofing properties of the insulation protect the system from moisture penetration from the ground or the basement. It has sufficient strength to deformation, differs elasticity, tolerates high loads.

The expediency of using a lavsan film is determined by its resistance to an aggressive environment. Concrete screed with prolonged contact causes corrosion of metal, so replacing aluminum foil with lavsan extends the life of the substrate.

The reflective substrate works for a uniform distribution of warm air with any kind of underfloor heating, but when laying an electric cable and an infrared floor it is indispensable. The lavsan heater is a dielectric and ensures complete safety of operation of the system, preventing the possibility of a short circuit.

When laying the insulation, the canvas must be spread over the whole area of the base, not excluding the place where the installation of the infrared floor is not planned. Joints of insulating strips are glued with special foil tape. The reflective layer is directed towards the room.

This type of substrate is most often used when the finish flooring is ceramic tiles. This material is characterized by a cold surface and requires intensive heating.

Scope and features of mounting reflective insulation

Thermal insulation with a metallized layer is manufactured in accordance with all hygienic standards and is a flameproof material. Due to the small it does not cause problems for transportation and installation. Rolls are easy to cut, and for fastening you need only a construction stapler and a special adhesive tape.

Reflective insulation effectively reduces the heat loss of the building in combination with the main insulation. The installation of the canvas with lavsan film provides protection from steam and moisture. Its use in the composition of the roofing cake is possible outside and from the attic space. Roof insulation under the roof covering is carried out with simultaneous exclusion of noise and protection against moisture penetration. The canvas is attached to the lath by a stapler, the joints are glued with adhesive tape. The reflective layer is directed upwards. Ready-made insulation is stuffed with a counter-grate for the finish coat.

When fixing the heater, an air gap of at least 20 mm between insulation and outer lining should be provided. Reflecting ability, resistance to moisture and high temperature allows the material to be used when finishing the bath and sauna. When insulating the balcony, foam polyethylene with lavsan is the best choice. A thin layer of insulation does not take away the area of a small room, while it performs the function of steam and waterproofing and does not require the creation of additional layers.

Low water absorption and thermal conductivity, resistance to temperature changes and most chemicals, long service life made the insulation a popular material for insulation of air ducts, water mains, refrigeration plants and equipment. It is used inside and outside buildings, protects the structures from changing the temperature regime.

The installation of insulation with lavsan is suitable for surfaces of any configuration. It is effective in low-rise construction and in the construction of frame houses. It is necessary to fasten the cloths to butt, excluding overlap.

The joints are sealed with a special type of tape, consisting of foil with an adhesive layer or a composite of aluminum and polyethylene. The connecting element has strength, ability to reflect ultraviolet and infrared radiation, moisture resistance. Its service life is equal to the time of operation of the reflective insulation.

The use of insulation with lavsan reduces heating costs and provides energy savings.

Low price - High effect

Simplicity of installation reduces the cost of works and the terms of works. Insignificant weight of thermal insulation, allows you to reduce the cost of the supporting structure. A small thickness combined with high efficiency allows to increase the area of internal premises by reducing the total thickness of the walls.

A thin layer of insulation allows you to replace the wall in 2 bricks or a wooden wall 30 cm thick. The material is non-toxic (does not emit harmful substances-unlike Styrofoam), does not absorb moisture (unlike Mineral wool heaters and polystyrene foam), Delays sound waves - improving sound-proof design characteristics.

Universal insulation, which combines excellent thermal insulation with very low thermal conductivity. The sound absorption coefficient is close to the most common materials used for soundproofing of premises, soundproofing of buildings, soundproofing of various units and assemblies.

  Having practically zero water absorption and zero vapor permeability, the material is ideal for waterproofing and vapor barrier. The material is so universal that the scope of use in construction and decoration is almost unlimited.

Thermal insulation characteristics put the material on one level with traditional building materials, in some cases, replacing the established norms and canons of construction.

This is a modern, high-tech building and finishing material. It has unique properties.

Reduction of heat loss, an important task, which we have to solve, is especially acute for owners of cottages and country houses. The reliable heat insulation of our house is, first of all, comfortable conditions all year round, reduction of heating costs, careful attitude to natural resources and much more.

The list of advantages can be continued and no one doubts the importance of measures aimed at increasing thermal protection. Do not forget that the cost of energy (electricity, gas, liquid fuels) will only increase. This problem is most urgent now, after new requirements for thermal protection of buildings were adopted in Russia in 1998. In accordance with them, the heat-shielding characteristics of the enclosing structures are significantly increased. The achievement of these norms by traditional methods leads to an increase in material costs and a large amount of labor in the construction process. So, for example, the thermal resistance of the attic floor should be R = 4.6 m2оС / W, which corresponds to 240 mm of the mineral plate, and the wall R = 3.5 m2оС / W, which is more than a meter of brickwork or 300 mm of wood.

In the light of the above, it is advisable to use new, modern thermal insulation materials that have high thermal and energy-saving characteristics. Reflective insulation THERMODOM - is a combined material. This is a layer of foam polyethylene, with one or two sides covered with high-quality aluminum foil or reflective dolphin. The material is thin, flexible, light, environmentally friendly. Insulation at its small thickness (several millimeters) has a high resistance to heat transfer, which is due to the low thermal conductivity of foamed polyethylene, due to the large number of closed pores and high reflectivity of polished, chemically pure aluminum foil. It should also be taken into account that the reflective insulation, having hydro- and vapor-insulating properties (moisture penetration coefficient is much less than one) allows completely replacing the usual vapor-insulating materials, in case of using reflective insulation.

  Unique qualities of insulation, allow it to be widely used in the construction of walls, partitions, roofs, floors in the role of insulation, steam and sound insulation. Especially it should be noted that low-emission properties of aluminum foil allow to interfere with radiant heat exchange, which constitutes an overwhelming advantage in the overall composition of heat loss. Reducing the radiant component of heat transfer significantly reduces the total heat loss. Radiant energy passes through a massive (traditional) thermal insulation, but only reflective insulation, it can stop it.
  Using reflective insulation can significantly improve the thermal characteristics of building structures without increasing their volume. Isolation can be used alone and in combination with other thermal insulation materials.

  In each case, it is necessary to consider the feasibility of using reflective insulation separately or in combination with other materials, according to your terms of reference and requirements.

For example, when installing it in the country wooden buildings, baths and saunas directly on the walls under the lining, gives a tangible thermal effect. This design quickly heats up and retains heat for a long time, even without additional layers of massive insulation. Thermal insulation is also not replaceable in cases where effective heat and noise insulation of walls, floor and ceiling is required without reducing the useful area of the room. Lightweight, thin, flexible, it perfectly fits into the design of the "warm floor" and suspended ceiling.
  But there are elements of buildings, the use of reflective insulation in them, it is advisable in combination with other thermal insulation materials.

In particular, the roof, in terms of its thermal characteristics, is the most vulnerable part of the building. The heat flow is directed upward, and in order to avoid large losses, the thermal insulation of the roof must be carried out impeccably, in compliance with all requirements and norms. The successful and durable operation of the roof is also affected by the temperature and humidity regime, and the installation of vapor barrier materials is an obligatory measure. Let's look at the thermal insulation of the roof, which is most often used in private housing construction. This is usually a mineral wool insulation with a thickness of 150 mm, protected on one side by a vapor barrier material and underlaying waterproofing, on the other. This combination of materials protects the thermal insulation layer well, allowing it to remain dry and reliable for a long time. But in turn, as we have already noted, this insulation does not completely meet modern requirements and needs strengthening of heat-protective qualities. The build-up of massive thermal insulation leads to an increase in volume, which is not always possible, due to the structural features of the roof elements. Moreover, the layer of the traditional insulation stops only 85% of the energy losses by heat transfer and convection. The second layer of additional thermal insulation stops only 12% of what the first one misses. Traditional heat insulation follows the law of reduction - the more layers of insulation are put on, the less energy loss is restrained by the subsequent layer. But also, do not forget that increasing the thermal insulation does not save you from installing a vapor barrier. In such cases, reflective insulation is simply not interchangeable. Installation of reflective insulation, will not cause you any difficulties. The material is installed from the inside on the wooden elements of the structure.

For fastening, use a construction stapler or small nails. Glue the assembly seams and possible damage to the material with aluminum tape to create a reliable vapor barrier system and along the frame guides you can install the lining material to your liking (lining, plasterboard or plastic panels). Remember that in order to achieve the greatest effect, it is necessary to provide for a small air gap between the THERMODE surface covered with aluminum foil and the near-surface element of the structure. This will achieve the maximum result from the use of a "thermal mirror", which is the THERMODE.

The use of insulating matrials by THERMOD is not limited to its use in the construction of enclosing structures. It can also be used in ventilation and air conditioning systems for insulation of air ducts and pipes. THERMODOM will reliably protect engineering structures from heat transfer. Self-adhesive reflective material is provided for these types of work. It is easily applied to the metal surface, providing both thermal protection and good sound insulation.
  The works connected with the installation of reflective material can be made all the year round. To install it, you need a minimum of tools. It does not crumble, it does not break down, you can not get dirty on it, so you do not need any extra work clothes, which is also an undoubted advantage in favor of the use of reflective insulation.
  Reflective insulation is widely used in Russia for more than 10 years, has established itself as a reliable high-performance material. Isolation installed more than 10 years ago has not lost its characteristics to this day! This allows us to conclude that the material is suitable, as an effective insulation, for the harsh climatic winters of Russia !!!
