How to install?

It is this distance that guarantees a sufficiently long service life, flexibility and rigidity of the fence.
• lags, that is, horizontally installed (from the metal profile) pipes, which strengthen the strength of the section of the profiled sheet in the opening. Usually, they are arranged in three rows parallel to the ground. The thickness of their walls is also 2 millimeters, and the cross section is 20x40 or 20x20 millimeters. In some cases, the owners have the right to choose wooden logs, which depends entirely on their desire.
• cement (concrete mixture), crushed stone and sand for pouring poles.
• self-tapping screws or steel rivets for attaching logs to the metal profile.

when buying, take care that the seller cuts the pipes into the required lengths (there are eleven and twelve-meter pipes), because the transportation of such pipes will cost much less. Also, make sure that the declared thickness is valid (the micrometer should be in each self-respecting building supermarket) and in the presence of a layer of hot galvanizing on profile sheets. Of course, if you want to additionally decorate the fence, you can buy sheets with a special polymer coating, but it will cost more by 40%.

So, we construct a fence of corrugated board

The fence from the profile with your own hands is erected quite simply, with the proviso that you will perform everything correctly and consistently. Take this note for yourself:

1. Marking on the perimeter of the territory where the fence will be. Pegs are installed at the marking site.
2. Foundation:
   • digging a trench 20 to 25 centimeters deep. In place of the peg, that is, the future pillars, the depth of the pit should be at least 50 - 70 centimeters. For reliability, lay in them asbestos tube pieces.
   • on the bottom, in the places where the poles will be, we pour a sand and gravel pillow, establish the chosen pillars and fill the concrete mix with bays. For formwork, simple boards will be needed.
3. Construction of the frame. This stage is carried out after the final drying of the concrete. Welding apparatus weld the upper and lower lags to the posts. When the frame of the frame is welded, it must be painted, and after drying, proceed to fixing the profile.
4. Fastening of metal profile. Metal sheets are attached to the logs in the last place, using screws or steel rivets. It is better to screw them through every two waves, and also to cross-sheet one wave.
5. Installation of low tide for poles. It can be replaced by a homemade lid made from any material.
6. Installation of the gate and gate - the last stage in the design of your favorite cottage. To the gate proceed only after the main fence is completely ready. Gates are assembled from profile pipes by welding and are coated with corrosion paint or a special primer. For increased rigidity, small metal corners are installed at the corners of the gate. Next, hinges are hung and the gates themselves are installed (you will have to call for helpers) and locks (you can buy or make a lock yourself).

It is also necessary to determine before the installation of the fence and the design of the gate, especially since they are often located right in front of the central entrance of the country house and should harmoniously combine with the facade. There are gates: swinging, recoiling and turning. In addition to choosing the design, you should calculate and prepare materials for the gates and wickets in advance.

Naturally, the very fact that the fence of the profile can be built with their own hands, already significantly reduces the cost of such construction, but there are a number of factors affecting the expenditure side of the project.

Factors affecting the value:

The following information will allow you to calculate the approximate cost estimate for the entire construction of a fence for a cottage.

Let's imagine that our fence from the sheet of corrugated sheet PS-10 with the base paint and varnish coating will be 2 meters high and 30 meters long in length.

Estimate calculation:

1. Consumption of sheets of metal. If the width of the sheet is 1180 millimeters, and the width of its working surface is 1140 millimeters, 27 sheets of metal profiles will be needed (the length and height of the fence are taken into account).
2. Flow profile pipe for lag. If the profile pipe has a size of 20x40 mm, and its height is 2.8 meters, then it will take 24 pieces (while the length of one span is 2.5 meters). The total length of the fence is divided by the length of the opening and multiplied by the number of lags (there must be at least two of them in one opening) and get the required number of pipes. Do not forget to also add a footage for the gates and wickets.

If the profile pipe is 20x20 mm in size, then their number will increase to three per one opening. Then the length of the fence is multiplied by 3 and we get 90 running meters of the pipe.

1. Pipe consumption for support posts. The number of sections of the profile pipe is multiplied by the height of each and we obtain 36, 4 running meters of the pipe. You should also take into account the poles for the turns.
2. Concreting the foundation will require two bags of cement.
3. Mounting sheets will require eight pieces of roofing screws with rubber gaskets per square meter.
4. Knowing the prices, multiply them by the number of materials plus shipping costs, as they often can constitute the "lion's share" of all costs for installing a fence for a country house.

The cost of the entire fence can substantially vary only two main factors - the length of the fence and the quality of the materials.
