Construction and repair by own hands

Where to buy lining? What is the difference between a conventional lining and a lining? Lock type connections

The finishing of the internal and external surfaces of the building is an important stage of construction. It is on the quality of the finishing materials that the microclimate in the rooms, the comfort of the interiors, the appearance of the structure depend.

The lining made of pine makes the interior warm and cozy

How to choose a quality material for decoration

The paneling by right took the leading position among the finishing materials. As a facing material, it successfully performs a number of important functions:

  1. Decorative. The structured surface lined with lining is well looked, and the wide dimensional ruler of products allows to create interesting composite combinations.
  2. Technological. Under the finishing layer there is a place for communications, without exposing them to public view.
  3. Protective. Facing improves sound-proof and heat-shielding characteristics of the structure.
  4. Operational. The service life of the lining is very significant, largely depends on the material from which it is made.

Pine paneling is the best material for cladding

The consumer qualities of the lining determines the material of the manufacturer:

  • plastic;
  • natural wood.

With the undoubted merits of other materials, natural wood for interior decorationthe best option. In most cases, coniferous wood is used for finishing.

Coniferous boarding

Advantages of coniferous wood are obvious:

  1. The resin impregnated internal structure does not rot.
  2. The bitches in it are much smaller than in other rocks.
  3. The color of the pine is positive, giving the interior warmth and comfort. To it it is easy to pick up other elements of an interior. Golden shades of pine are perfectly combined with bright and pastel tones, with the exception of yellow and golden, which are lost on their background.
  4. Due to the ability of pine to regulate the humidity, the room will develop an optimal microclimate.
  5. Pine lining is the cheapest and easy to process material.
  6. A pleasant smell of resinous wood contributes to the creation of comfort.

Configuration and settings

Lining is a thin edged board with a machined surface and fixed dimensions. A specific feature of each panel is the presence of a groove and a comb, thanks to which the facing surface is assembled. In the Lining, unlike the usual, the size of the groove and groove joint is 1.5-2 times larger, that is, the connection is deeper.

To ensure free circulation of air in each panel there are ventilation slots. By the nature of the profile, the lining is divided into 3 types:

  • euro - an open crest of the joint acts as an element of decor;
  • the calm provides a tight, gap-free connection;
  • collective farmer - the panels also fit tightly to each other, but their width is smaller.

Geometric parameters of panels are accepted in accordance with GOST 8242-88. Depending on the manufacturer, the width of a conventional panel is 50-150 mm; thickness 12-25 mm.

The boards of pine are made in different profiles, one of them is calm

Lining is strictly fixed in size. In accordance with European standards, its width is 80, 100, 110, 120 mm. Thickness - 13, 16, 19 mm.

When choosing a material, it is useful to pay attention to deviations of linear dimensions, which in thickness and width are not allowed more than 1 mm and 3 mm per 1 m of length. Otherwise, there will be difficulties installing the panels.

Thinner panels are more suitable for interior plating, thick ones for exterior facades. As an element of decoration, a wide lining is more interesting, as the texture of the material, the beauty of the sinuous fibers, can be clearly seen on the lined surface. The cost of finishing is calculated per 1 sq. M. m. It depends on the size (width, length) of the panel, its class and type.

Finishing materials invented a great variety, and they are made of both natural and synthetic raw materials. Such a finishing material, like a lining, is perhaps one of the most popular. If it is decided to improve the room or the facade, you should learn to distinguish the lining from the ordinary standard lining before acquiring it.

general information

To begin with, the lining has received its characteristic name because for several decades it was used exclusively for the finishing of commodity wagons.

Today it has received much wider application.

Despite similar names, they have quite significant differences. In order not to make a mistake when buying, you need to know the main properties of both, and other finishing materials.

These materials may seem very similar at first glance, but a detailed study of their properties allows us to state that the difference is significant.

What is the difference?

The standard wooden paneling is an ordinary wood plank with natural moisture. For ease of installation, this material is produced with a single tongue, groove and profile.

Evrovagonka is superior to its more "simple" fellow in all respects. It is a dry planed board. In addition, information about which will be presented below, there are also GOST standards, according to which the humidity should not exceed 15 percent.

Dimensions of the classical lining

The average moisture index usually fluctuates between 8-13 percent. It is prepared taking into account seasonal requirements, all technological processes are strictly observed.

It differs by humidity, grade of wood, geometric parameters (thickness and width), as well as physicomechanical parameters of wood. Also, there is another significant feature that distinguishes the lining from the ordinary lining - the size of the stud.

More modern and qualitative, on the reverse side it has venting bends, which create additional opportunities for ventilation and prevent the formation of condensate.

Dimensions

This species is mainly popular.

According to the established state standards, the length of the lining should be not less than 120 centimeters, and not more than 400 centimeters.

Some manufacturers release it also up to 6 meters. The profile width of this material can be 10, 11 and 12 centimeters.

The length of the stud is also different. The standard size of the lining is different and the length of the spine, it has this parameter is 8-9 millimeters, while the usual size is only 4-6 millimeters.

Thus, the joint is wider, which facilitates the installation process, and standard sizes  Lining is more acceptable for work.

Let us summarize all the essential differences between the materials described. This material is different:

  • quality of wood;
  • lower moisture content;
  • the size of the parasol connection;
  • more complex profile;
  • the presence of ventilation ducts;
  • higher price.

The prices are as follows:

Classes

Eurocup is of four classes - Extra, A, B and C.

  1. Extra - high quality, without defects, noble color and almost perfect surface.
  2. "A" - contains knots and cracks (small, small diameter).
  3. "B" - is characterized by a more significant content of cracks and knots.
  4. And, finally, "C". On the surface, wormholes and blue are allowed.

Types of wood from which they are made

They make it from various types of wood, so it can differ significantly in quality, and therefore in price. One of the most inexpensive varieties is.

Often it is chosen because of the low price and neutral color of wood, allowing with the aid of akvalak to give the product almost any shade.

Dimensions of the lining of pine are no different from standard products from other raw materials.

But before you buy this finishing material, you need to familiarize yourself with the properties of wood. This will determine which option is suitable for a particular type of premises.

Pine. Has not too high resistance to moisture, the effects of harmful insects and temperature changes. However, with qualitative processing it can well serve, facades, stairs.

Lime and Aspen. They are characterized by increased resistance to temperature changes and high humidity, and consequently, can be used for finishing any types of premises and facades.

Larch. It is not susceptible to putrefaction, it perfectly resists the effect of harmful insects. Even with long-term operation it does not lose its original qualities - it retains a good appearance and resistance to external factors.

Blow and ash. Expensive, but beautiful and durable wood species, used mainly for interior decoration of premises.

Self-assembly

To save money you can finish yourself. it is a labor-intensive matter, but it is not under the power of a specialist.

First, you need to make a layout and layout of communications, wiring and control. The wires must be placed in metal tubes and put under the finish.

Mount this material usually vertically, but if there is a need for a visual expansion of the space, horizontal laying is possible.

Video - montage yourself:

The frame must be mounted perpendicular to the direction of the panels. According to the technology, the laying starts from the corner, but is nailed either so that the fixing point can later be hidden by skirting (corner), or in grooves.

Evrovagonka is a material that, due to its advantages, is one of the most popular on the modern construction market.

Dimensions, lining, can have different, can differ in the color and type of wood used. One thing remains unchanged: this material is indispensable when it comes to high-quality, noble, eco-friendly finishing of the facade and premises.

For interior decoration both inside and outside, wooden lining is often used. It is a wonderful natural material, beautiful and eco-friendly. The board is a smooth or relief board of various lengths, with a comb on one side and a groove on the other. Due to the joint-groove connection, a continuous coating is obtained. On the inside, each board has cuts to relieve stresses in the material and ventilation.

To ensure that this finish has long retained its appearance, you need to choose the right type of lining.

Types of wooden lining according to the material:

  • The lining can be made of coniferous wood: fir, pine, larch, cedar. Pine and spruce contain resin, which can appear on the surface of the product. Therefore, such a lining is better to cover the outer walls of the house. In addition, resin wood is better resistant to external influences and does not darken with time.
  • Lining of hardwood is used for interior decoration. Alder, linden, ash and other wood species will create a very comfortable microclimate in the room. Some types of wood, such as linden or aspen, are best used in a thermae or sauna, because they almost do not heat up. The lining from ash has a beautiful shade and a rather large density, almost like an oak. Manufacture and lining from valuable species of wood - oak and beech. This is an expensive material, but it allows you to create a noble and respectable interior. So you can draw, for example, the walls of the cabinet in a country house.

There are different types of lining according to the shape of the profile:

  • the standard is a lining with a flat surface. It resembles a wooden beam. The surface of the wall, decorated with such a lining, looks almost smooth.
  • softline differs from the standard rounded corners, which creates a kind of relief.
  • lining Landhaus, which can be translated as a village house, has longitudinal recesses and a slightly convex edge. This creates a beautiful pattern on the wall.
  • american imitates the lining "overlap". So it is customary to sheathe homes in America. This lining is fixed horizontally. This kind is well protected from the ingress of sediments into the shell, since each joint is covered by a projection of the upper board.
  • the blockhouse has a rounded profile and is similar to a rounded log. Sheathing with such a wooden lining makes the house look like a frame.
  • recently appeared a kind of "wooden wallpaper." This kind of lining is used only for interior decoration. There are models of "wave" and "house", panels with embossing, brashing or carving. With the help of such panels it is possible to finish rooms not only in country cottage, but also in a city apartment and give it the cosiness of a wooden house.

There is a special type of lining - the lining. It is distinguished by a deeper groove and a longer spike. It is manufactured using an improved technology with the use of the highest quality materials. Evrovagonka is available in a wide variety of sizes, profiles and can be made from different types of  wood.

Classes lining depending on the quality of wood:

  • extra, or zero is a class of sawn timber, in the manufacture of which wood is used without knots, cores, cracks, resin stains, bluish and other defects.
  • wood class A can not contain more than one bitch at 1.5 m. It should also not contain a core, but it is allowed to have non-cracked cracks and resin pockets, not more than two per 1.5 m.
  • class B allows up to 4 knots and mechanical damage to the surface. And also one contrasting spot.
  • the most inexpensive, but the least qualitative class C admits the content of 2 captive knots and an unlimited number of blind cracks, resin pouches and mechanical damages.

Molded board

The Russian industry produces a lining in accordance with GOST 8242-88.

The thickness of the lining can be in the range of 12-25 mm, the width is not more than 150 mm, and the length varies from 600 to 6000 mm. The type of lining with a thickness of 20-25 mm is called a "collective farmer".

For interior finishing use panels with a thickness of up to 16 mm, and for exterior work more thick.

The lining of natural humidity is usually produced in the size of 20x96x6000 mm. Dry lining usually has a thickness of 12.5 mm, a width of 96 mm and a different length: 2100, 2400, 2500, 2700, 3000 or 6000 mm.

The lining is produced in various thicknesses: 19, 16 or 13 mm and widths of 120, 110, 100 or 80 mm. The length can be from 50 to 6000 mm.

When calculating the quantity necessary material  It should be taken into account that under the word width is meant the design width of the lining, i.e., the distance from the edge to the edge. Its useful width is the distance from the base of the ridge to the base of the groove. It must also be understood that a certain amount of material will be discarded when completing the finish and buy it with a margin. The amount of this "stock" depends on the class of the lining. The material of class C needs to be purchased much more than the Extra class.

Pay attention to the moisture of the wood, from which the wooden lining is made. Insufficiently dried wood can eventually warp and bend, which will disrupt the appearance of the finish and may lead to the need for repair. This can be prevented by soaking the lining with special waterproof compounds.

Wood is in great demand in modern construction. Many centuries ago, people first learned wood, creating original ornaments, dishes, building dwellings, making tools and much more. Despite the fact that this material has gone a long way, to date, not only has it not lost its popularity positions, on the contrary, it has become even more in demand.

Thanks to unique technologies that are constantly being improved, new and more sophisticated finishing materials made of wood are appearing on the market every now and again, among them, it is necessary to highlight the lining and the lining.

Since the material is notable for availability, a person of any prosperity can buy it. Thanks to panels made of linden, pine spruce and other rocks, you can make the covering of walls, ceiling, make exterior finish  houses under a tree and much more.

Standards of wooden lining - GOST and DIN

At present, the manufacture of this finishing material is regulated by the following standards: the Russian standard GOST 8242-88 and the German standard DIN 68-126 / 86, TU. The latter standard makes more stringent requirements for quality and grade.

Before the material is sent for sale, its grade is revealed - the less knots and other defects are present on the paneling, the higher its classiness. The lining of domestic production of the first grade, the second grade and the third grade completely correspond to the grades from the European production - Class A, B and C.

By the way, first European manufacturers, then Russian ones, began to produce a lining, which is inherent in the class of "elites". Boards of this class are made of high-grade wood. Such a lining can be bought at a higher price. Often, panels of the elite class are used to cover the ceiling and walls inside the house.

Dimensions of wooden lining

At once it is necessary to note that the sizes of the lining and the usual are different. The thickness, width and length of a simple lining are determined by the manufacturer, however, the most popular is the wooden lining, which has standard dimensions:

  • The minimum lining length is 0.2 meters - the maximum length is 6 meters. Such dimensions of the wooden lining make it attractive for those who want to perform a balcony, bath or living room cladding
  • The width of the board is from seventy-six to two hundred millimeters. This width allows you to make high quality lining both outside the house and inside.
  • The thickness of the board is from twelve to forty millimeters.
  • The spike has a size of four to five millimeters.

If the wooden boards (lining) to consider the size of the length, then the material is divided into several classes, more precisely by two - long boards are used for finishing, short boards for covering roof overhangs. A short lining has a lower price, because such billets are made from waste produced by lining of long dimensions.

The fact is that at the stage of the final processing of a long lining, dead knots can be on it, they must be cut out, only this way it is possible to preserve the grade of the finishing material. For those who do not know what dead knots are, let me explain, these are those bitches that can fall out of the wood at any time. There are also living knots - they hold fast in the board.

Dimensions of the lining

  • The length of the lining runs from half a meter to six meters.
  • Thickness is thirteen - sixteen and nineteen millimeters.
  • The width of the lining is eighty - one hundred and ten and one hundred and twenty millimeters. This width of the lining is ideal for finishing large rooms.
  • The spike has a size of eight millimeters to nine.

For the lining, the following deviations are permissible in sizes:

  • The length is plus / minus 5 millimeters.
  • The thickness is 0.7 millimeters.
  • The width is 1 millimeter.
  • The size of the stud can be plus / minus 0.5 millimeters.

Due to the fact that the lamellas are of an optimal size, there will not be any crevices on the wooden lining, in addition to this, it will not crumble, which is very important when walling. In addition, these dimensions of the lining allow easy paneling.

Pros and cons of finishing

At present, the euro lining is one of the most sought-after finishing materials. Widely gained popularity thanks to its multiple advantages, which other types of finishing materials can not boast. Among the advantages, it is especially worth mentioning:

  • Wood linden veneer is an affordable finishing material.
  • 100% ecological cleanliness.
  • External appeal. Any kind and breed of wood that is used in the production of wooden lining is unique, and thanks to a wide selection of shades and structures, you can create a unique interior design.
  • High sound-proof and heat-insulating characteristics.
  • Durability. If you carry out the correct care after the wooden lining, then it can last for about fifty years, sometimes even more, and most importantly, during this time such decorating will not only lose its unique appearance, on the contrary, it will become even more beautiful.
  • Convenience of mounting wooden lining. Due to the fact that the boards have a ridge and a groove, paneling is carried out in a short time, and to produce a finish with this material, one does not need to be a professional.
  • The lining allows additional finishing.
  • Different sizes of wooden lining, which allows you to choose for yourself the most the best option  for inner or outer skin.

Also it should be noted that, in addition to the pluses, there are drawbacks to the Euro-rake, although there are very few of them, but they are:

  • During the operation of a wooden lining, there is a risk of deformation. This depends on what kind of wood will be used for the plating of surfaces.
  • Poorly tolerates temperature changes and is sensitive to moisture. It also depends on the type of tree.

However, all of the above disadvantages of wooden lining are not critical, because they can be easily and quickly disposed of by additional processing of boards and competent installation.

It should also be noted that if you decide to buy a lining, then you will need to immediately decide the question under what conditions the material will be used, for example, if a wooden lining is used for finishing in rooms where high humidity prevails, for example, in a bath, then choose the material, which is made of coniferous wood, for lining dry premises, the lining is ideal, for which the hardwoods were used.

Also immediately decide on the size. If you want to sew a small room, it is better to choose boards that have a small width, and for larger rooms it is preferable to use boards of greater width.

Characteristics of wooden lining

If you decide to make a finish using a wooden lining, then you need to choose the right material, but this will not be possible if you do not know it technical specifications  and the field of its use. The most important indicators of the quality of the wooden lining are first of all:

  • Strength characteristics. This parameter determines the ability of a wooden lining to withstand high fur. Loads - the thicker the wooden slats will be, the more they will have higher strength characteristics. However, the greater consumption of wood in the manufacture of lining, leads to an increase in its price, which is why it is necessary to choose panels for the lining, depending on the conditions under which they will be used.
  • Hardness. From the degree of hardness used in the production of wood will directly depend on the degree of complexity of its processing. But if the wooden board is made of solid rock, its installation will be more reliable, because the panels will hold well with scraps and nails, which is very important for plating both inside the house and outside.
  • Grade. This parameter determines the correctness of the dimensions of the boards and their appearance. Also, the grade indicates the strength characteristics of the wood.
  • Humidity.
  • Fire resistance and wear resistance. The latter index plays a huge role in the event that it is planned to finish the wooden lining of those surfaces that have a rounded shape.
  • Aesthetics. This skin looks very beautiful.

Lining - wood species

The lining can be made from different types of wood: from deciduous, valuable and coniferous trees.

  1. Hardwood paneling.

  • Linden. High strength properties are inherent in wood. Lime is very beautiful color, but it becomes dark during the operation of the wood. To preserve the color and the wood itself from destructive rotting processes, it needs to be treated with special impregnations. Lime wood paneling is ideal for finishing in rooms where very high humidity prevails, for example, lime battens can be used for finishing the bath. Buy it can be inexpensive in any construction market. Due to the different width of the panels, the cladding works are carried out quickly and without problems.

In the photo above you can see the lining, which is made of lime.

  • Alder.  This lining not only looks beautiful, but also has a positive effect on human health. The fact is that alder wood contains tannic substances, during heating they begin to release healthy compounds. A huge popularity of wooden boards from alder has won due to the fact that it does not absorb moisture, therefore it, like lime from lime, is successfully used for finishing premises with high humidity conditions, for example, it is ideal for covering of open balconies. Alder has low thermal conductivity, is an excellent soundproofing device, has a very beautiful color, which makes it in demand as a finishing material. However, in spite of multiple advantages, such wood needs good protection, due to which its service life will significantly increase.

The photo above shows a lining, for the manufacture of which alder was used.

  • Oak.  Oak wood paneling belongs to the class of elites. Oak wood has the highest strength characteristics, this greatly affects the appreciation of the process of its production. Wooden lining made of oak is indispensable for interior work. It should also be noted that the price for such panels is quite high, which is due to its production and size - the length of the board affects the final price of the product. When choosing oak boards, be sure to pay attention to their width and length, for example, for the sauna skin it is better to buy long boards of small width, they will make the room more attractive.

Above in the picture is a wooden lining, for the manufacture of which used oak.

  1. Lining of exotic (valuable) wood species

The species of mahogany wood is exotic. In the modern market, panels from this wood are less common. The lining is of different sizes, which distinguishes it from similar finishing materials. A wooden mahogany lining has a higher price, so it's not possible to buy it inexpensively. Very nice, such panels look if they sew the living quarters, insulated balcony, loggia or hallway.

In the photo you can see a wooden lining, for the manufacture of which valuable wood was used.

  1. Softwood boarding

The lifetime of the lining for the manufacture of which coniferous tree species was used is much higher than that of a lining made from other breeds. This wooden lining is an excellent solution for finishing in rooms where there is a high humidity regime, for example, in a bath, a shower room, and it is also often used for finishing balconies and loggias. Below we will get acquainted with more popular breeds that are used in the production of lining and simple lining:

  • Spruce.  This is a fairly soft lumber, which makes it indispensable for finishing various round shapes. Especially often this wooden lining is used for decoration of premises, the design of which is made in modern style. Spruce wood boarding is easy in processing. Panels are easily and quickly connected to each other, which greatly simplifies and speeds up the finishing process. Surface wood panels of spruce is characterized by a low index of roughness. The fir-tree texture is very beautiful, although it is not very expressive. Despite the multiple advantages of a wooden spruce carcass, it has drawbacks, which include its high hygroscopicity, that is, it absorbs water more than a lining made from other coniferous trees. Because of this hygroscopicity, spruce wood is much more susceptible to rotting processes. However, today such a shortage of wood is completely eliminated, for this in the production process it is subjected to chemical treatment. Spruce wooden lining is widely used for internal and external finishing work. The boards have different sizes, which is very convenient for installation. You can buy this type of vagonki inexpensively, while you will become the owner of a very beautiful finish in the room, on the balcony, loggia, corridor.

In the photo above you can see the wooden spruce panels.

  • Pine.  Such wood is most often used for the production of wooden lining. This is a very light material, which has good strength characteristics. Pine eurolodka has a very beautiful and expressive pattern. If the pine wooden lining used for interior decoration, it will bring in the room a special note of warmth and comfort. Today, the price of this lining is in an attractive price range, which makes it affordable for everyone. Among the shortcomings of pine wood is its ability, as they say in the people, to "tear". This is due to the fact that even a well-dried and treated wooden board can for a long time emit resin. Another disadvantage of pine wood is its low density, because of this wooden lining can easily be scratched. If the finish of such pine boards will occur in the bath, then you will have to measure with the fact that on the surface of the panels will be constantly visible resin streams, leaning against which you can get burned.

The picture shows a lining, which is made of pine wood.

  • Larch.  Such a rock, according to the strength characteristics, corresponds to oak wood. Over time, the strength of larch is even higher. All the indices of larch are much higher, about 30 percent higher than in other conifers. The unique structure of wood contributes to the preservation of heat. By this, wood contains health benefits of phytoncides, it is a therapeutic natural antioxidant that positively affects the human nervous system. In the wood fibers there is a resin that protects it from damage by wood bugs, thereby significantly reducing the costs of chemical processing of wood lining and leaving it more natural appearance. It is also necessary to note the external attractiveness of the wooden lining from larch, it has strongly pronounced layers and a slightly reddish shade, which remains the same beautiful throughout the lifetime of the wooden lining. All these advantages make such wood the most popular in the manufacture of wooden lining. However, it also has its own drawback - it is a high cost. Often such panels do not only cover the walls, but also the ceiling.

In the photo you can see a wooden lining made of larch.

  • Cedar. The wood of this breed is distinguished by a strong coniferous smell, since it is strongly impregnated with resin. A wooden eurolad of cedar has a high density and can hold heat well. The service life of the wooden lining made from cedar is many decades, but it can serve even more if the paneling is done outdoors, and is well protected from water ingress. Such a wooden lining is widely used for interior decoration. In a room with such a finish, there will always be a favorable and healthy atmosphere, as the cedar soothingly affects the nervous system. In addition, the cedar has another nice feature - its smell is afraid of mosquitoes. The disadvantage of cedar lining is its high price.

This photo shows a cedar lining.

Types and types of wooden lining

There is one more feature on which the classification of the wooden euro lining is carried out - the profile of manufacture. Currently, the following profiles are offered on the market:

  • Standard. Such a lining is called differently: classic, collective farmer, ordinary. The peculiarity of this wooden lining is that there are practically no slots in it.
  • Lining. This type is identical to the standard, however, in its production, more stringent requirements are imposed. In addition, when the lamellae are docked, there is always a slight groove between them, which can reach up to fifteen millimeters.

Below you can see how different is the lining from the usual wooden lining.

  • Softline. Such a wooden board has slightly rounded chamfers. Its length and width allows you to quickly make the skin of the house.
  • Wave (Landhouse). This type differs in that its front side is slightly concave. In the photo you can see the wooden lining Landhaus.

Also, we should separately say about several other varieties of wooden lining. Their main difference is in the method of fastening, all of the above types are fastened in an upright position, and these are in the horizontal position.

  • American. This type of lining is an imitation styling wooden boards. Most often use an American for outdoor work. This lining has a system of comb-groove, thanks to this the lining is reliably protected in places of joints from water ingress. Due to the different width of such panels, the lining of the house will be made in a short time
  • Simulation of the beam. This lining has a standard profile.
  • Block house. If such a wooden lining to sew, for example, brick house, then it will be very much like a log house. Such boards have different width and length, which is very convenient for finishing.

What distinguishes the lining from the lining

The main distinguishing features of the lining from the usual one is:

  • Low humidity level. The highest level of moisture for a simple lining is from fifteen to twenty-eight percent, and for a lining, twelve percent.
  • Strict compliance with quality standards.
  • The front surface is characterized by an ideal smoothness.
  • For polyethylene packaging, polyethylene film is used.
  • A larger number of vent grooves, thanks to which condensate is removed from the wooden boards, internal tension is also removed.
  • The tenon of the lining is nine millimeters in size, whereas the usual size is five millimeters.
  • The installation of a wooden lining can be done without additional processing, which can not be said about a conventional lining.

Which lining is best to choose for plating the house and the bath

To choose the right wooden lining, you need to have an idea of its parameters, it is on them that you should pay attention when choosing. Here are some of them:

  • Quality and breed used for the manufacture of lining timber.
  • Length. The length of the lining will depend on the price, the longer the board, the higher the price for it.
  • Drying. What will be drier wood used in the production of lining, the higher will be its quality.
  • Sort of boards. At this stage, the grade of lining is being determined. The higher the grade, the greater the cost of the product.
  • Storage. Lining and usual lining should be stored in a dry room (closed), and there should be good ventilation.
  • If the bluish will be visible blue, then it says only about the infection of the tree with a fungus, it is better not to buy such boards.

To measure the humidity of the lining and the wooden lining, use a moisture meter, this is an instrument with which you can determine the humidity of the lining before selling, that is, taking into account the effects of the conditions under which the lining or lining was carried out.

In addition to the above, the choice should also pay attention to the specific woodworking panels. The boards produced on modern high-precision equipment will have minor deviations from the indicators (normative) in both geometry and roughness.

It is also necessary to take into account the fact that the market offers a lining, which is made of ripened wood or solid. These two types are inherent pluses, for example, solid boards have a more attractive appearance, while on the seams visible seams, which greatly spoils its aesthetics. However, despite such a drawback, a closed lining has one huge plus - the lamellas will perfectly "behave" both during storage and when installing them. Often such a plank can be seen on balconies.

In addition to the characteristics of the choice of wooden panels (lining) can affect:

  • Appointment of the premises for which you buy a lining, for example, if you want to make the decoration of a balcony or a bath, then you can buy boards of different breeds and varieties. For finishing walls or ceilings indoors, it is better to use high-grade boards.
  • The size of the room. If it is required to sew a large area with a lining, then you can give your choice in favor of a less qualitative and less expensive lining. This lining is of low quality, but this does not mean that it is worse than others.
  • If the lining is done in a small room, for example, in a corridor or on a balcony, then it is better to buy narrow panels, with the help of such a technique you can visually make the room wider. This method can be used for the ceiling in the room.
  • Thin lining can be used for finishing those surfaces that are characterized by an ideal evenness: walls, ceiling, etc.
  • Panels that have a standard width are best used for large rooms.

The choice of finishing materials for internal and external works always depends on the individual taste of the owner of the housing or the design decision. However, over the years, the fashion for natural and environmentally friendly finishing materials does not pass. One of them is a wooden lining. It has a number of exclusive qualities, such as beauty, durability, integrity of the coating, ease of installation.

Molded board and lining

The material has its own history. Initially, boards with specially machined edges were used for sheathing of wagons. Due to the groove on one side and the protrusion (spike) on the other, the boards are very tightly connected to each other, and this sheathing for a long time ensured the absence of cracks.

The name "eurocock" was used not so long ago, in principle, it is the same lining, but manufactured in accordance with the international standard DIN 68126, adopted in Europe. The standard fixes grade (depending on the quality of wood), profile, humidity, processing quality and strictly regulated dimensions of the lining.

Dimensions

A simple lining has a fairly wide range of parameters, its thickness can vary from 1.2 to 2.5 cm, width - from 8 to 15 cm, length - from 60 cm to 6 Euro lining, adopted according to the German standard - 12.5x96 mm. Four lengths are used - 2,1, 2,4, 2,7 and 3 meters. However, domestic manufacturers declare several more options: thickness - 1.3, 1.6 and 1.9 cm with a width of 8, 10, 11 and 12 cm, the length is limited to 6 m.

Since drying is applied to the lining in the chambers, its standard humidity should not exceed 10-15%, while the usual humidity has twice the humidity.

The main parameter, according to which the lining and the usual lining are different, is the size of the stud. In the lining, it occupies 9% of the width of the board, or 8 mm, whereas the protrusion in the usual lining - from 4 to 6 mm.

Each board of the lining, unlike a simple one, necessarily has slots on the back side that serve as air ducts and prevent the formation of condensate, and also reduce the internal stress of the wood associated with the temperature drop.

Dimensions of the lining significantly affect its price, however, as well as the grade. The most expensive is the "Extra" lining, then the A and B grades, and the least qualitative (correspondingly, the cheapest) class C.

The paneling can be used both for facing internal premises, and external (balconies, facades). In this case, a thin material is used for the inner skin - up to 16 mm, and for the facade cladding - the so-called wooden siding (the dimensions of the lining are from 18 to 25 mm).

Material price

The required amount of lining is determined by the net size (without a tenon). The shorter the board, the cheaper it costs. For example, the price of a cubic meter of a board up to 1.7 m in length is one and a half times lower than the price of a board of standard length - from 2.1 to 3 meters.

So, the parameters by which the euro lining should be chosen are the sizes, the price. The total amount spent will depend on the surface area to be sewn. So, the cost of a standard package (10 boards) is approximately the same, but the length of the boards can vary. Therefore, the number of square meters that can be sewed by buying one package is different. The total amount of the purchase depends on the length of the board. Correctly having calculated the necessary quantity of boards of necessary length, it is possible to save essentially.
