Construction and repair by own hands

Is it possible to build a solid fence between neighbors. Norms and rules for building a fence between neighbors

Buyers of land, as well as individual developers who begin building houses on land acquired or allocated by local authorities, are concerned about the correct installation of fences. In order not to violate the interests of a number of people living, and also not to infringe upon their rights, it is necessary to clearly know which fence can be set up between neighbors under the law operating in the territory of this subject. At once we will notice that this question is considered in many normative legal acts, none of which can not be ignored. Limitations are established by several parameters, such as height, material of manufacture, blowing of the fence, distance to important objects located on the territory of one's own and another's land. To avoid a conflict that can develop into judicial disassembly with subsequent payment of fines and even the demolition of the fence, everything must be decided by law before construction starts.

What to guide in the construction?

The main legislative act, which normalizes the process of planning and construction of facilities on the land, is the RF Code of Urban Development. However, in this document there are no indications of the mandatory placement of a blind fence between adjacent sites. Therefore, SNiPs are used as a basis, that is building norms and rules, which can be supplemented by regulations adopted at the level of local authorities. These documents specify the requirements for the construction of fences in the territory of the settlement, dictated by:

  • climatic features of the region;
  • dominant relief of the terrain;
  • presence of objects of cultural heritage, etc.

It may also indicate the need to obtain permission from local authorities to build a fence. In the district and city administrations, the departments for urban development and architecture are engaged in issuing such permits, which ensure that the life-support systems of the settlement (water supply, electricity networks, other utilities) are not located in a private fenced area. In case of illegally constructed fencing, the owner will be forced to dismantle it at his own expense.

Clear definition of the boundaries of the land

First, read the available documents for the land. Then, accurately locate all boundaries between adjacent sites and coordinate the data with neighbors who are stakeholders in the legal resolution of the problem. If all owners agree with the boundaries established between the sites, an act is drawn up, which reflects the agreements reached. The act is signed by representatives of all interested parties. This document will protect the owner of the fence from attacks by disgruntled people in the future, when the owners of the site change.

If difficulties arise with an accurate definition of the boundaries of the land, it is recommended that you contact the surveyors. The specialists will not only study the available documents, but also make an inspection of the terrain, after which they will give out to the applicant a plan where the location of the landmarks will be indicated.

Landmarks for the delimitation of land plots located next to each other are established by specialists of companies licensed for this activity

How to find an experienced surveyor?

Find a competent surveyor can be through their friends who have already applied for such services in the relevant services. It is also possible to use the list of organizations and individual entrepreneurs licensed to carry out this type of work, which is available in the authorities that oversee the issues of architecture and land management in the region and neighborhood.

Study the price list of companies, as well as the list of services provided. Especially, take an interest in the accounting documents that you will have after the completion of work. Low prices for services should alert you, as the firm can carry out works on restoration of borders of the ground area improperly. The cost of all works is normalized, so cheap services are due, as a rule, to poor quality of the necessary control measurements. Involving such "experts" can only exacerbate the conflict that has erupted between neighbors, because of the boundaries of the site.

Competent surveyors will give you on hand:

  • act on the restoration of the boundaries of the site;
  • the plan of the land plot, in which there will be a description and diagrams with turning points of the boundaries of your site;
  • explanatory note, in which the contractor reports on the work performed.

In addition to the documents, specialists should show you where the landmark is located, and also explain how to restore them using roulette in case of loss or deliberate destruction.

With the help of special measuring equipment surveyors determine the exact location of the boundaries of the site, which then installs fences

Try to discuss with a number of residents the possibility of joint payment for surveyors. If they agree, then provide for an additional package of accounting documents in the contract.

What to build a fence: requirements for materials

SNiPs do not put forward special requirements for materials to be chosen for erection. And the neighbors are most often dissatisfied not with the material chosen for construction, but with the height of the structure. And dissatisfaction in most cases is justified, since in the construction of a high fence the territory of a nearby area is shaded and deprived of "airing". Therefore, in the garden and household plots intended for the cultivation of fruit and berry crops and vegetables, the fence is established only with lumens.

Such fencing can be:

  • mesh;
  • latticed.

The height of the fence between the garden plots can not exceed one and a half meters. If someone ignores these norms (specifically or by ignorance), the injured party should apply with a written application to the horticultural administration or to local authorities.

The installation of a blind fence from the profiled sheet is possible only from the side of the street, and no permits should be obtained if the height of the structure does not exceed one and a half meters

Fence with household buildings can be separated by a fence from the side of the roadway. If a fence is being built by people next to each other, then a number of requirements for its remoteness from the boundaries of neighboring areas must be observed.

How to put the fence correctly?

In the construction are guided by an unspoken rule that the pillars of the structure have:

  • or on the border of sites;
  • or on the side of the owner of the land plot, which started the installation of this building.

It is necessary to strictly supervise that all without an exception of a part of a fence were on territory of the builder. Do not fool around and try to "chop off" extra centimeters. This can result in big troubles and material losses. Not every neighbor is willing to tolerate such a situation. Therefore, one should not rely on a person's loyal attitude to the seizure of the extra land that is in his possession.

To the design of the fence being installed between neighboring land plots, two basic requirements are imposed: light transmission and air permeability. Therefore, fencing is done with gaps

For more details, see the video:

How and how is the height of the fence normalized?

The height of fences between the sites of neighbors allocated for individual housing construction, can not exceed two meters. If the owner of the land plans to put a fencing structure above this value, then he must obtain permission from the architect.

Similarly, the land user should install a fence in the immediate vicinity of the highway. At the same height of the fence can reach only one meter. Otherwise, the owner of such a site will not receive the permission of the architect. Restrictions are imposed on the erection of the fence and its height in areas with an angular arrangement.

From the whole world, you can not wall yourself off with a high fence, but you can try. But why? Because the top of the site is always open

Where to build a house and other facilities on the site?

Individual developers are trying with maximum benefit to use every meter of the land. In doing so, they forget that the law establishes how many meters from the fence of neighbors it is possible to start building a house without violating the rights of people living side by side. Therefore, when choosing a location on the site for the construction of residential and other facilities, it is necessary to be guided by a number of existing rules that normalize the distance from these structures to the boundaries of foreign sites, namely:

  • 3 and more meters retreat from the house, as well as from other living quarters;
  • 4 meters are left from premises intended for keeping birds and small livestock;
  • 1 meter - to the garage and other types of technical premises.

Note that planting medium trees should be at a distance of 2 meters from the fence of the neighbor, and high - 4 m.

The scheme of the location of the main objects on the plot near the fence. When trees and shrubs are planted, the legal standards are also taken into account

The distance between the house built on your site and the boundary of your neighbor's area should be measured from the wall or the base of the structure in the event that the ledges, awnings and other elements of the structure do not bulge more than 50 cm. If the indicated value is exceeded, the distance is measured from protruding designs. You can always negotiate with a person, just do not forget to fix a compromise agreement on paper. This document will protect you in court in the event of a conflict, confirming the correctness of the actions taken by you in the construction of the fence and the house on the site.

Compliance with fire regulations

With great attention it is necessary to concern with observance of fire-prevention norms of construction, as this depends on your life and the life of your loved ones. Building materials belong to different classes of flammability. Proceeding from this, it is necessary to withstand the norms of SNiPa, establishing the minimum distance between the structures constructed on the site, namely:

  • 6 meters should be divided into objects constructed of non-combustible building materials, such as concrete or brick;
  • 8 meters should be between concrete and brick buildings, which have wooden floors or other elements made of wood;
  • 15 meters is considered a safe minimum between wooden buildings.

The meters left between the objects will help save the house in case of a fire raging on the site nearby, since the fire can not spread to a nearby building. Yes, and special equipment easier to get to the place of fire, if it is not obstructed by numerous buildings, literally napelyennymi each other.

You can not try to take the fence closer to the road, thereby increasing the area of the fence. This violates the so-called "red line", which aligns all the houses that stand on the street. To infringers apply penal sanctions which can escalate and in demolition of a protection. It all depends on the perseverance of local authorities, which can even "close their eyes" to the violation or just confine themselves to recovering an administrative fine.

Compliance with fire regulations will protect not only the objects built on the site from fire, but also save lives for the owners of real estate

Remember that ignorance of the law is not a valid reason for its non-fulfillment. Therefore, to hide behind the fact that for the first time you hear about the requirements for the erection of fences, it will not work.

Disputes and methods for their settlement

Disputes arising between those who live in the plots next to each other are mainly related to improper installation of the fence. And usually on this step one of the parties is consciously and purposefully, hoping that the neighbor will not engage in judicial crook. However, not always the affected party quietly keeps silent, harboring resentment in the soul, or is limited only to loud abuse. More and more people are solving such issues in court, knowing that the truth is on their side. Therefore treacherous seizure of foreign territory by transferring the old fence or building a new one, to put it mildly, is not welcome in our time.

To build a fence it is necessary on the territory of its site, then not to demolish the constructed fencing by a court decision rendered in favor of deprived neighbors

You can find a way out of the controversial situation in two ways.

  • The first method lies in the plane of peaceful settlement of the conflict, when the parties manage to find a compromise solution in the course of negotiations and establishment of good-neighborly relations.
  • The second method is more energy-intensive, and also financially burdensome, as it is connected with litigation that can last for years. At the same time, none of the parties is insured against losing, which means that there is a threat to remain in their own interests and pay compensation for the costs incurred and moral harm to the "hated" neighbor.

Therefore, all the same, we should try to follow the peaceful path, developing diplomatic qualities in ourselves and our family members. After all, a bad peace is better than any, the best, war.

How not to quarrel with neighbors?

In all life situations, people should be treated the way they would like you to be treated. This win-win behavior will allow to maintain good relations, which will be terribly destroyed due to some fence. Perhaps one of the parties will make concessions and will come forward with a proposal for a minor transfer of the fence. After all, both people want their sites to be fenced off by a solid and beautiful fence. Hence, there are points of convergence of interests around which it is necessary to build a dialogue based on the norms of legislation.

During the construction of a house or when buying land, almost all face the difficulty of installing a fence. Not only is this process rather complicated, so there will still be various disputes with neighbors. The main questions that can arise is what size should the fence be, and also from what materials it should consist. The installation of a fence between neighbors depends on a huge number of regulations that can simply mislead you or discourage all the desire for such construction.

In order to avoid any breakdown, you need to follow certain rules and recommendations even during the construction itself. Before you start building, you need to consider all documents on the ground, accurately calculate all the boundaries between sites and only after that start further actions. We must understand that in this work should take part and neighbors, because they are also interested in this person. If there are no discrepancies between you, then it's worth starting with the signing of the contract, in which all the boundary of the site will be clearly marked. This is necessary in order to avoid further conflicts. Also, there may be some difficulties with the definition of boundaries, in which case it is better to use the services of a surveyor. He will thoroughly study the necessary documents, inspect the terrain and in the end will show you his plan.

Another major stage is obtaining permission to build a fence in the department of urban planning and architecture. With this, too, there may be difficulties due to the availability of a water supply system or electro-communications in your territory. It should be noted that if these rules are not observed or if neighbors do not agree to the construction of the fence, they will be able to demonstrate it without material compensation.

To get acquainted with a variety of useful properties for the construction of fences can be here. What should be the distance of buildings from the fence, see our article.

There are several basic types of fencing: deaf, fence with gaps. The basic rules governing the installation are contained in certain regulatory and legal acts that concern construction. According to such norms, you can choose the material from which you want to make a fence, but as for height, there are certain restrictions. During the installation of a fence with a height of more than two meters, the permission of the local architect is necessary. If you want to install a fence near the highway, the architect can also give permission, while the height of your building can not be more than one meter. If you own a corner site, then the fence itself will be difficult, so, as it will be necessary for the architect's permission.

A common mistake is a close fence. Given all the norms, it should not be set closer than 0.5 meters from the border of neighbors, and during installation of the deaf variant is not closer than 1 m. Let's try to figure out what height the fence itself should be in accordance with all the rules. According to all norms, all sites should be protected with transparent fences, so that the shadow does not fall on the territory of neighbors. The greatest height should be about 1.5 m. As for the deaf fences, they can be placed only from the side of the roadway. There are also a number of rules that relate to the distance from objects in your territory to the boundary of your neighbors, namely: from the house or other living quarters at least three meters, from premises with a bird and small livestock at least four meters, less than one meter, from trees of medium height two meters, from tall trees four meters.

The distance between the boundary of your neighbors and your house can be measured from the socle to the wall. If your structure has ledges, canopies or other bulging elements of not more than fifty centimeters, the distance can be calculated from the wall of the house.

When choosing a fence, it is necessary to take into account the fact that blind fences represent an unsuitable option for installation between 2 plots. All fences and fences should not exceed more than 1.5 m, even if you received permission to install. The exception is the fences, which must protect the site from the roadway (their height can be 2.5 m). Such fences will help to cut off the noise of the road.

All fences can protrude more than fifty centimeters. The distance is measured from these structures. If you have agreed with the neighbors on the construction of the fence, it is better to consolidate the matter by agreement. You will have a document that contains legal force and which will confirm your rightness in all the disputes that arise.

Different regions have their own rules and requirements for the installation of fences and fences. They can be associated with specific features, with terrain and other factors. Fireproof and other main regulations you can independently select the material for the fence, choose the color. All materials undergo the necessary verification are the rules of fire safety.

How to cost a fence: from your fence to the fence of neighbors should be at least three meters, from the garage to the neighbors can not be less than one meter, from the fence to the construction of a technical character should be more than one meter, from the border to the room with pets should be at least four meters, from the fence to the trees should be more than one meter. The question can be about changing the distance between the road and the fence, but the owner of the site can not change it independently, because according to the plan, he has already been given the boundaries for which he can not go.

We must not forget that administrative responsibility in the form of a fine can occur for violation of fire and sanitary standards. Therefore, you need to consider all the rules and regulations in order to make all the buildings adhering to the SNIP and other regulations, because ignorance of the law can not exempt from liability. Very often disputes occur precisely with land issues and with their borders.

Before placing a fence between neighbors in the private sector, it is necessary to find out a number of provisions that regulate this process. Such a concept as "ownership of land" does not at all mean permissiveness. The fence on the site must be installed in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation. Given the considerable cost of building materials, it is not worthwhile to fence the site with a fence, which can be demolished by a court decision. At the same time, it does not matter, the site is built in the SNT, around the private house or at the dacha. The height of the fence between neighbors has its limits and there are well-founded reasons for this. Consider them in order.

The construction of the fence around the site must be carried out in strict accordance with the current sanitary and hygienic rules. They are designed to prevent the spread of infection, contamination of soil, water and pets. The requirements for the protection of the cottage and a private house relative to the location on the ground are clearly spelled out in the SNIP.

The distance from the fence to various objects should not exceed:

  • to an apartment house - 3 m;
  • up to economic building (warehouse, shed) - 1 m;
  • up to the garage - 5 m;
  • to the bath - 5 m;
  • up to the pigsty, barn, chicken coop, kennel - 4 m;
  • up to trees - 4 m;
  • up to shrubs - 2 m;
  • to a street toilet - 1.5 m.

These rules apply to all fences, regardless of their location. It is not allowed to build a fence of any type so that it infringes the interests of neighbors. This is allowed only in cases where the plot borders the land of the municipal fund. The law allows for an error in construction, when the area of the site increases by no more than 10% or 0.5 hectares.

The height of the fence around the site

People seeking privacy, want to make living in a private home as hidden as possible from prying eyes. However, in this issue there are a number of regulations and rules for the installation of fences that limit their height and regulate the configuration. There is one more nuance that needs to be asked before the construction of the site - in different regions of the country, the norms of the height of the fences of private landholdings operate. They may differ slightly in the higher or lower side. This indicator is influenced by historical traditions and mentality of local residents, climatic and weather conditions of the area.

The height of the fence between neighboring sections by law should not exceed 150 cm. In some areas the permissible height of this structure can be 225 cm. At the same time, the blind part of the enclosure should not exceed 75 cm. The remaining area should have a grid or lattice structure. This requirement is justified by several criteria that were taken into account in the drafting of the SNIP.

Here, the answers to the question, why the fence between the country sites can not be high and deaf:

1. The view of a solid wall does not always suit neighbors. Most likely, they do not like that their living space is limited. Many summer residents like to watch the sunrise and sunset, sitting at the porch of the house. The construction of a deaf type deprives them of such an opportunity.

2. Deaf fence between neighbors  it covers plants and flowers from sunlight. Because of this, people are losing the opportunity to use tens of square meters of fertile land.

3. The monolithic wall creates a strong shadow and prevents the movement of air. Because of this, dampness, fungus and mold appear in the buildings.

Even when building in accordance with all applicable requirements, one should take into account the opinion of neighbors. Otherwise, they can seriously spoil life with cavils and lawsuits. However, do not be upset by those who still want privacy. There are several ways to solve this problem.

How to hide the yard from other people's eyes

By planning fence erection between neighbors, you can reach a peace agreement with them. Despite the fact that fences should not be deaf and high, this rule can be circumvented. Relations must necessarily be formalized individually. An agreement or agreement is drawn up, which clearly specifies what should be height of a fence between neighbors, the type, style and color of this structure. It is necessary to mention that the neighbors agree with everything and have no claims. The paper must be certified by a notary or the chairman of a non-profit organization in whose territory the land plot is located. The certified document will be the basis for drawing up the project, where it will be registered, what height should the fence be?. After this, you can safely begin construction, protecting their possessions with a blank wall.

However, even correctly drawn-up paper does not give an absolute guarantee that all issues have been resolved finally and forever. The agreement is concluded between individuals. If the plot is sold, donated or inherited, problems may arise. Knowing fence installation rates between neighbors, the new owner of the adjacent allotment can legitimately demand the removal of a bulky structure.

Far from the fact that this issue will be resolved through negotiations. As a rule, the court decides in favor of the plaintiff. In this case, the owner of a monolithic fence may incur serious financial costs in the form of a fine for violation of construction norms and costs for dismantling a blind fence.

Another way to hide the site from prying eyes is by growing a hedge. To do this, dozens of ornamental trees and bushes will be required. All this requires labor and serious financial investments, but the result is worth it. In a few years, the plants will create an impenetrable wall for sight and dust. Positive in this matter is that maximum height of the fence  from plants is unlimited. An indispensable condition for arranging a hedge is to maintain the distance from the fence (2 m) and the absence of engineering communications over the plants. A small disadvantage of this solution is the strip of terrain between the wall of plants and the adjacent fence. This site will need to be cleaned regularly from grass and debris.

Equipping fence around the site, it should be remembered that there are very different rules with regard to the fence going out into the street. In this case, there is no infringement of someone's interests. The law allows the construction of blind fences with a height of not more than 220 cm. Moreover, they can be strengthened with additional protective devices - steel pins, barbed wire or steel mesh.

Selection of materials for the fence

The only restriction on the choice of material for the construction of an adjacent dacha fence is the safety of people's health and the environment. Since the fence will be common, it is advisable and the costs for it are divided in half. To do this, you need to solve with your neighbors all the questions about the height, material and configuration of the future structure.

There are such options for choosing the material for building a fence between land plots:

1. Wood. It is environmentally friendly material, easy to process. From the timber and boards, it is possible to create standard and original structures that fully comply with the current legislation. Wooden fences need regular maintenance. Otherwise, they quickly become unusable.

2. Profiled sheeting. Due to the special polymer spraying, the steel sheets successfully resist corrosion. By agreement with neighbors from the corrugated board you can mount a blind fence. If complications arise, the sheets can be easily truncated, and the grill or grid can be fixed on top of the removed fragments.

3. Mesh netting. The owners of neighboring plots most often resort to this option. Mesh netting has an affordable cost and is easy to install. It protects the site from the intrusion of domestic and wild animals. The mesh netting has a long service life and corrosion resistance. The enclosure can be used as a basis for climbing plants, which makes it possible to create an impenetrable barrier from extraneous views.

4. Cellular polycarbonate. Plates of this material do not create a shadow and do not interfere with the growth of greenery in the neighboring area. At the same time, by breaking light, polycarbonate hides everything that happens in the yard from those around. The material has sufficient strength to successfully withstand strong wind and impacts of falling objects. Special additives make polycarbonate impervious to ultraviolet radiation.

5. Forged metal fence. It looks luxurious and spectacular. But, it is expensive, not performing almost any protective functions. Requires regular and time-consuming maintenance.

Knowledge and observance of the current norms for the construction of fences on its site will avoid moral and material costs in the future.

To live comfortably in a private house or at a dacha, it is necessary to know well the rules for building a fence between neighbors. The concept of private property, except for the rights to real estate, implies certain restrictions on its erection and arrangement. The norms of construction, even on a personal plot of land, are quite stringent and mandatory for implementation. The slightest violation of them can lead to the initiation of legal proceedings, moral and material damage. In order not to turn your life into a misery, you need to know what rules are used to establish a fence between neighbors, what parameters should be observed when building this structure and during its operation.

Preparing for the construction of a fence

Before starting the construction of a fence between neighboring areas, it is necessary to conduct a number of activities. It is desirable to involve all interested parties in order to avoid claims and claims in the future.

You need to do the following:

  1. Carefully study the cadastral plan of the site, find landmarks on the terrain. If they are not available, then invite the state surveyor, who will draw up the act of land surveying.
  2. Make sure that public utilities do not pass under the fence. After this, you need to agree on the size and design of the joint fence. It should be determined what height the fence, its style and color should be. Arrangement is better to arrange on paper.
  3. Draw up a fencing project, coordinate it with the chairman of the SNT or a local architect. Only after this you can proceed to construction.

Before proceeding with the design of the adjacent fence, it is necessary to familiarize yourself with the basic rules applicable to private construction.

Requirements of regulatory legal acts

Construction and sanitary norms clearly regulate such issues as the height of the fence between neighboring sites by law, the minimum removal of this structure to sanitary zones, objects of private and public ownership.

Thus, the height of the fence between neighbors can not exceed 150 cm.

At the same time, its blind part should not be more than 70 cm. Anything higher can be done in a transparent or latticed design.

What is the reason for this?

  • the shadow from the fence does not give a normal development to green plantations, makes dozens of square meters of fertile land useless;
  • construction of a deaf type closes the picturesque surroundings, prevents you from enjoying the sunrises or sunsets;
  • a high blind fence prevents the movement of air, which causes the formation of dampness, fungus and mold in a private house on an adjacent plot;
  • the effect of closed space negatively affects the psyche of people.

The norms for the construction of fencing on the street side allow the owner of the site to erect a structure of a deaf type. If he has sufficient funds, he can put a monolithic wall up to 200 cm high. Everything that is higher needs to be coordinated with local authorities.

Sanitary and fire safety standards

Even having met all the requirements regarding the height of the fence, the site owner must install it correctly.

Do not build fences any closer than from:

  • residential building - 3 m;
  • farm building (poultry house, pigsty) - 4 m;
  • economic structure (garage, shed, bath) - 1 m;
  • a small tree or shrub - 2 m;
  • high tree - 4 m;
  • transformer booth - 5 m;
  • air communications - 1,5 m.

In addition, it is necessary to take into account the minimum distance that should be between houses located on adjacent sites.

If both buildings are brick, then it must be at least 6 m. Between the buildings of brick and wood - 9 m, and between the wooden - 15 m.

If there is a pond near the land (river, pond, lake, reservoir), then this will impose certain restrictions on the location of the fence. According to the current legislation, it can not be put closer than 30 m from the water's edge. Similar restrictions apply to public facilities. The rates may vary slightly depending on the region of the country.

Which material to choose?

The rules for the construction of fences between adjacent sites do not restrict their owners in the choice of material. It must be environmentally friendly and non-flammable. Do not forget about the aesthetic side of the issue.

The appearance of the fence should suit both neighbors.

Otherwise, the probability of filing a lawsuit is quite high. That is why all questions regarding the design of the fence need to be stipulated in advance, and the mutual consent to be fixed on paper in an arbitrary form.

Today you can build a fence of such materials:

  1. Wood. It is a raw material from which it is possible to build light and elegant structures. From racks of various configurations, a palisade or a decorative lattice is made. It is recommended to focus on materials that are at hand and do not cost anything. We are talking about weaving fences from long thin poles. The bottom of the fence is made solid for protection from animals. Above 70 cm the poles are inserted at intervals. With proper processing and regular maintenance of the fences from the tree stand for decades.
  2. Profiled sheeting. It is a modern material with high strength and durability. The sheets treated with polymer spraying have a service life of up to 50 years. Profiled sheeting is attached to steel racks with special screws. If you have any complaints about the height of the deaf part of the fence, all the excess can be easily cut off by the Bulgarian and removed from the frame. Freed space is filled with light-penetrating material.
  3. Concrete. On the construction market are available prefabricated fences of supports with openings, solid and latticed sections. It is sufficient to concrete the supports and insert sections of the desired configuration between them. To give the concrete a presentable appearance, it must be cleaned of dust and dirt, treated with a primer and painted with acrylic paint. Such a construction will suit everyone, both visually and legally.
  4. Cellular polycarbonate. This material is good because it does not obscure the space of the neighboring site, and at the same time hides the yard from extraneous views. Partitions between the layers of polycarbonate refract the image. Plates of translucent plastic are installed on a steel or wooden frame.
  5. Rabitz. Is the most popular option for creating fencing. It has sufficient strength and durability. Covered with zinc or polymer mesh can last several decades without loss of quality characteristics. Mesh netting is stretched on a steel rod or fastened between supports in the form of welded sections in advance.

Much less often, steel is used as a fence. With minimal functionality, the forged fence has a high cost.

How to retire from the neighbors?

Living outside the city in a dacha or in a private house is associated most of the citizens with peace and seclusion. Tired of the city fuss, people want to hide from prying eyes, relax and do what they love. However, the law prohibits putting high blind fences in the private sector. Dead end? No, because from any situation you can find a decent entrance.

To protect your yard from extraneous views, you can proceed as follows:

  1. Negotiate with neighbors about installing a high blind fence. It is possible that you will have to sacrifice something. For example, when installing a structure from the corrugated board, turn it face to the adjacent area. At the same time, choose the color that suits the neighbors. The agreement should be formalized in writing. However, the new site owner may demand demolishing the fence. We will have to negotiate or reconstruct the fence again.
  2. Arrange a hedge. The basis for it can serve as an already assembled grid netting. In just a few years, plants can grow to a height of 2-2.5 m. This is quite enough to achieve privacy. As for the law, it does not mention any restrictions on the hedge. Once a year, plants need to be cultivated and trimmed. So, the hedge will look much more beautiful and attractive.

Arrangement of the land plot is a responsible and interesting event in which the fence is not the last place.

The first step is to make a choice: put the fence yourself or entrust this issue to a professional master. The answer becomes simple - if, due to ignorance of the fence installation in accordance with the rules and regulations, the owner of a country site is afraid to build a fence on his own, he must definitely trust the specialist in this area. It is worth remembering that the fence is a very important part of the entire site, which is responsible for the safety of its owner.

The fence should serve not for one year, and therefore it is unlikely that anyone will want to regularly spend a lot of money on independent construction.

Normative base

In accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation, there are certain rules and rules for the construction of fences between neighboring sites. So, in the normative legal acts (SNiP 30-02-97 of September 10, 1997, N 18-51), general norms are specified with regard to the rules for installing the fence, the choice of material for the erection and the degree of its transparency, the height of the structure, and much more.

When choosing a summer cottage, it should be borne in mind that blind fences are an unsuitable option for installation between two sites. And even in the case of permission to install a blind construction, it should not exceed more than 1.5 meters. The exception is the fences that separate the site from the roadway (road, highway) - their height can reach 2.5 meters, moreover, in some cases it is possible to follow the regulations of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection in determining the noise level and put fences that will cut the road noise (they are from a special perforated cloth with a height of up to 3 meters)

The safest option is to install a diluted fence with some distance between the boards. If the installation of the fence from the profiled sheet is mandatory, then the corrugated sheet must have a perforation, which will eliminate the shading of the adjacent plot. Usually such a perforation is made at the top edge of the fence by 25-30 centimeters to the bottom.

A place

To put a fence strictly along the border of the site (indicated in the boundary plan) is incorrect, according to the norms the fence should retreat half a meter from the border into the site. The situation is similar with the installation of fencing along roads and pedestrian zones. In the case of a dumb fence, it will take at least one meter to retreat.

Take into account and plantations: so, the fence can not stand closer than 1 meter to planted shrubs, closer than 2 meters to trees of medium height (cherry, for example), from large trees it is necessary to step at all and 4 meters at all.

According to the norms of the assessment of sanitary conditions, the fence erected should be no closer than 3 meters from the apartment house, no closer than 4 meters from the farm buildings for livestock and poultry.
