Construction and repair by own hands

Garage under the house. Attic, inspection pit. What kind of garage can you build with your own hands?

In this article I will tell you how to build a garage by yourself. In the construction of my experience will be supplemented with photographs, I propose to supplement it with my experience in construction in the comments. We will go through the stage from the foundation, the erection of the walls and up to the roof.

Well, we begin. This summer, together with my wife's father, we started building a garage. Personally, I have little experience in construction, while my father-in-law already has 20 years of experience. The garage turned out really thorough, reliable, even after some time, not a single cracks appeared on its walls. By our work we were quite 100%. It was built in the likeness of one that my father-in-law built many years ago. That's what we did.

As you know, the most important part of any building is, that's it with him we started.

Foundation

Over the plan, the foundation project had to be thought about. There were many contradictory moments that I did not want to put up with. In the end, after thinking it over carefully, we started the construction process.

  • The parameters were chosen according to which the foundation was poured. The length of the garage should be 6 meters, and the width of 3, the height of the ceiling should be equal to 2.4 meters. Since we have a car, building a garage with large parameters did not make sense.
  • On the perimeter from four sides the pegs were clogged, on which the twine was pulled.
  • After that, for four days, we worked on the foundation. It should have been 40 cm wide and 50 cm deep. They acted very carefully, it was necessary to exclude the possibility of landslides. The amount of concrete was limited, so digging the foundation took so much time.

formwork. This allowed in the necessary places to deduce the foundation by 0.

gates, we noted as follows, right in the center of the foundation placed in the concrete board.

The whole design should last more than a month. At first it is desirable to protect it from the rain. After, you can safely water the foundation of the watering can, this will allow it to be complete and not crack. Do not let the concrete dry quickly. After a week of downtime, you can safely remove the film and cinder blocks.

Wall masonry

This process is preceded by the following process. It is necessary to cover the entire perimeter of the foundation with a ruberoid. It is necessary that the ruberoid protruded slightly at the sides. Thanks to this, the walls and foundation will be well protected from the rain. After the laying of the walls is finished, you can proceed to install the gate. The gate that we decided to install, it turned out to be very heavy, so we had to install them four. Strengthen the gate with spacers, so do almost always, but there are cases when they do only on the situation. "I ordered the gate to professionals, because it's not me, not my father-in-law that could not do anything like that." The gate was the next size - 2400x2000mm. One door at us was wider another, it is connected by that near to garage there is a house, and it would not allow to open to the doors completely.

I run ahead - a photo of a gate gate.

Then the stage begins, on which the cinder block is placed. According to our calculations, about 800 cinder blocks were needed for a garage of this size, but nevertheless, after work, we had about 80 slag blocks.

"As a friendly advice, I want to tell my readers that's what, try to find used slag blocks, it will help to save forces and nerves."

The thing is that now drossblocks are of disgusting quality, since they are sold and poured by everyone who is not too lazy to deal with it. If you can find a cinder block that was poured in the past, it means that you will have a warm, at least a garage. Slagblock does not lose its properties, even if it is not one year old.
Initially, it seems that the cinder block is quite simple to put, in fact it is completely wrong. This is a rather heavy subject, which after several such uplifts becomes so heavy that it takes a long time to rest. To erect 2.4 meters you will need to build goats. Total construction took us about 5 days. And we worked from morning till night. The solution was prepared according to the following formula: one part of the cement, four parts of sand and water.

The process of laying should start from the gate. All slag blocks must be laid out in the level.

It is necessary to put the cinder blocks by the dressing method. With this method of laying, vertical seams are not located on the same line. In the last rows of the cinder block are assembled logs, it is best to choose from pine, preliminarily with olive oil. Logs are located at a distance of 90-100 cm from each other. In the last row of cinder blocks, it is necessary to place the wire in the places where the logs will be located. It should be in the form of an inverted P. It is needed in order to fix the log. Extra pieces of wire are simply cut off.

"The site also advises its readers to note in advance those holes where there will be ventilation." They need to be done at the top, for example, we did one near the gate at the top and one at the far end. If you do them according to the rules, then one hole should be placed at the top and the other at the bottom, then the air inside the room will circulate perfectly, and this is exactly what you need for the garage. We moved the vent up, because the risk of flooding during rains and melting snow was great. The holes are best closed with a special grate with a latch. Such a grid can be purchased in specialized construction stores.

How to make a roofing

  • It is better to entrust the garage of the garage to a person who knows this. It will be difficult for him to cope with his work.
  • Top on the solution is overtaken. This is a special board, which has a thickness of 30-40 mm, and a width of 150 mm. It is better to choose the same pine boards for these purposes.
  • After the solution has dried, the process of roofing begins. The boards and logs are knocked down so that the shape is a design that resembles the letter "A". By the number they should coincide with the number of logs, which is used when concreting into the walls. A couple of boards are sawed at the top, they are fastened with nails, and the whole structure is fastened with the help of the board.
  • After that, the rafters are placed overtaking, they are strengthened with special staples or with 120 mm nails. It is necessary to arrange rafters so that they on each side do not reach 3cm to the outer edge of the overtaking. Otherwise, after laying the roofing material, large holes may remain below it.

"Our rafters were knocked down from logs, which is why it was difficult to arrange them on a level." If this is too difficult, then you can observe at least a vertical.

After this, the burglary begins. It should be up to 20 mm thick. Naboev has several options. In the first case, the boards go in a continuous layer, in the second case the roofing material is laid on top of the boards. "The boards should be placed strictly horizontally, this can be checked using a second board or a special tool." You can also take a level, but such a length level is not always possible to find.

If the boards are not packed horizontally, then in this case the roofing material, if you use slate, will subsequently crack during laying. After that, we started laying down the slate.

We used eight wave slates. In front and back of the garage, we made a slate of about 40 cm, which is necessary to prevent the wall from being flooded during the rain. On the sides, the opening was 30 cm.

Each slate sheet has a marking, a special red inscription, it can be oriented on it, it must be on top of overlapping only one wave of another slate sheet. Slate is attached to the shavings with a nail of 100 mm long with a flat bonnet. "In the process of driving nails, try to follow that in one wave there were not 2 nails." At least 4 nails must be driven into each slate sheet. Slate nails are also used for fixing slate or galvanized ridge.

That's the whole design.

When the roof is ready, the pediments are laid. They are difficult to lay on slag blocks, so it is advisable to use white bricks. Here, in principle, the garage is ready.

Attic, inspection pit

In the garage I wanted to have a small attic and a pit, which would be needed to inspect the car. The ceiling was made of boards with a thickness of 30 mm. The pit was dug along the perimeter with the following parameters: width 80 cm, depth 150 cm, length 180 cm. The pit was laid with slag brick and then plastered. A characteristic feature of this brick is that it perfectly tolerates moisture. On top of the pit covered a board with a thickness of 40 mm. If necessary, this board can be removed, so it is better not to mount it with anything. The floor of the pit is preferably concreted, it is done exactly the same solution as the foundation itself. The thickness of the concrete layer should be 7-8 cm.

After that, go to the finishing works in the garage, plaster the walls, do the wiring, put the sockets, switches. Walls can be painted or, if necessary, used a lining. Like any building on the site, the garage needs to be registered and pre-authorized to build it.

That's all.

The owner of a small plot of land is particularly interested in its rational use. The construction of a detached or attached "auto-house" in such conditions is unforgivable waste, because you will have to sacrifice a minimum of 30 sq.m. precious space. Here, useful experience comes from foreign neighbors who have long practiced the construction of underground garages, both for low-rise buildings and high-rise buildings. The benefit is obvious: the "auto-stable" is the zero floor of the main building, thus saving a lot on the site.

But, despite all the attractiveness of this construction of the garage, many car owners have quite logical doubts:

  • How much more expensive will the "subway" cost?
  • How correctly to provide in it comfortable conditions for the car and the person?
  • how build a garage   underground so that they are not afraid to use the room in bad weather conditions (snow, ice, rain)?

The questions are serious and require detailed familiarization with the topic. We hasten to reassure you: a solid individual underground garage built by oneself is not a dream, but a feasible project. Of course, if you approach it from the position of strict implementation of all prescribed building canons.

We think and choose: the project of a house with an underground garage

If you are looking for a suitable project of a private house with an underground garage, then, most likely, have already reviewed a lot of photos of ready-made samples on the Internet. In order not to be distracted by designer "tricks" and architectural "gadgets", we will help you to summarize the search results. There are two ways of arranging the "auto-subway":

  1. Underground garage is located completely underground
  2. The underground garage is partially "drowned" in the ground (usually 1/2 or 2/3 of its height)

The second option is more popular among the people, since it is cheaper and more practical in terms of execution of the plan. The main problem of underground facilities is the fight against dampness. The deeper the garage is hidden, the greater the "obstacles": the increased ground pressure and the negative impact of groundwater (especially considering that the average depth of the aquifer for our region is 1.5-2 m).

ATTENTION!

Where can I find all the necessary requirements for the planned construction? In SNiP, underground garages are described in detail: all key conditions are indicated, under which their normal operation is guaranteed. Here the recommendations on the wiring of all engineering networks (SNiP 21-02-99 "Car Parking") are documented.

We would like to draw your attention to the important aspect of the CORRECT house project with an underground garage:

  • The premise placed above the underground "motor home" must be protected by a thicker and an additional reinforced slab. It can not be equipped for LIVING ROOM

Unfortunately, a large part of the virtual projects, laid out on public display on the Internet, neglects this norm. Over the "subway" are placed bedrooms, which roughly contradicts the safety standards. Garage belongs to the category of explosive rooms, therefore, a residential building with such a techno is planned so that in case of an emergency, people are not harmed in any way.

As for the possibility of arranging a combined dwelling of a person and a machine, that is, a clear rule in which such neighborhood is impossible:

  • Gas-ball vehicles can not be stored in public buildings, including individual underground garages
As can be seen from the two mentioned norms, great attention is paid in the rules to the fire safety of the technical room. In SNiP, the fire resistance levels for walls and gates of the underground garage are indicated: EI 90 and EI 60, respectively.

The next rule for the normal operation of the "subway" is the correct arrival in its interior. If in a virtual picture everything can look compact and very beautiful, then in practice the car owner will experience all the inconveniences of a mistakenly designed road.

What should be the entrance to the underground garage?

The main decoration of a private house is a beautifully arranged private plot. Building an underground garage, the car owner tries to save space under the terrain, so decides to equip a steep short entry to the parking lot. If the car calmly copes with the obstacle in summer and dry weather, then the "snow" in winter or a rainy autumn "barrier" may not be taken. The snow will quickly fill up the "pit", and the streams of water will flow into such an alluring "reservoir".

Here are a number of requirements for entering the "subway", which you will not encounter any difficulties with its year-round operation:

  • The incline of the inbound track must not exceed a certain value
  • It is clear, the more steeply down, the less space will occupy the technical zone. Do not overdo it! The maximum inclination of the entryway for the underground garage is 140-150 (or in a percentage ratio of 25%). Increasing the angle will lead to problems during its operation in the autumn-winter-spring period.

  • The deeper the underground garage is in the ground, the longer the entryway
  • Sufficient length of "finish" will help to avoid all weather troubles. Ideal parameters of the entrance almost no one adheres, because the bar is high: for example, for an underground garage, lowered at 1.30 m, the entrance must be 14.4 m long! A clear calculation makes it possible to shorten it almost twice (up to 8.4 m, of which 3 m is the "starting" horizontal zone).

  • Entry is a broken trajectory
  • The minimum length of the entry garage road is divided into three mandatory areas:

    - "starting" zone: 3 meters with a slope of 00-20
      - zone "X": part of the road with a maximum gradient of 140-150 (50% of the total length of entry)
      - "red" zone: mandatory 1.20 m of the horizontal section in front of the garage gates

All changes should be smooth, without sharp boundaries.

For an ideal entry into the "subway" before and after the section with the maximum slope, it is necessary to equip segments of the road with an average slope (70-80). By their length they should be slightly shorter than zone "X" (≈75-80% of it).

  • The road is made of non-slip materials
  • It is desirable to supplement it with special serifs that help to overcome the route when the track is icing. Popular special braking strips for wheels.

  • It is necessary to provide a pedestrian path with a handrail along the wall
  • The pedestrian path will help the driver to get out on the "surface" quickly and without injury, even when the road is icy.

  • At the gates of an underground garage, storm water drain must be provided
  • The sewage grate into which the water leaves must be located in front of the gate in the straight section of the entrance (there must be a minimum of 0.5 m of a straight path before it), which will protect the garage from getting into the middle of the rainwater streams. Storm sewage with a siphon is completed with a heating cable, which prevents its freezing.

  • On the sides of the entrance, retaining walls
  • They protect the road from destruction and collapse of the ground. According to the rules of SNiP, a land drop of more than 80 requires such a protective structure.

In order to effectively solve the problem of the icing of the track, it is desirable to mount a system that prevents the occurrence of ice on the road section. Do not forget to provide lighting for your convenience.

How to build an entrance road for an underground garage?

The construction process is divided into the following stages:

To avoid the failure of the pavement, the geometry of the road is formed without padding the soil. To do this, each "step" is neatly cut to the desired level, guided by the harvested label (stretched line).
The prepared and "cut out" area is covered with rubble with a layer of 15 cm and carefully compacted
Bearing layer is made of concrete grade B10 12-15 cm thick. The mortar is kneaded thick and viscous. After the first setting, the surface is constantly moistened and protected from the sun
   Then comes any finish coat
With the entry, we thoroughly figured out, now it will go to the arrangement of the underground garage itself, namely, to protect it from a water "attack".

How to effectively protect the "subway" from dampness?

STEP 1: WATERPROOFING UNDERGROUND GARAGE

The construction of the built-in "subway" implies an additional load on the foundation of the house. Usually the owner prefers to lower the whole floor down, and not part of the building, breaking the whole space into several technical areas (parking, workshop, gym, etc.).

Most often in the project provide a slabbed ribbed foundation, which increases the stability of the building. But all depends on the basic building material and design calculations of the architect (we once again insist that the design must be performed by a specialized specialist).

Building an underground garage with your own hands, the car owner must take care of comfortable conditions of "living" for his iron friend. It is necessary to protect the premises from the slightest water "attempts", because excessive moisture is fatal to the car.

How to waterproof an underground garage?

The walls of the "subway" are designed in analogy with the retaining walls: on the external contour of the premises, a drainage system is arranged, and the entire external surface is waterproofed with a surfaced waterproofing (for example, a ruberoid or its modern counterparts). In addition, a massive filter cushion is formed under the floor and on the sides of the "subway".

The complexity of the drainage system is determined by the results of survey work that determines the type of soil and the level of the aquifer. Geo prospecting will prompt or rationally build a "subway", because if the groundwater is too high, you will have to drain the area and complicate the drainage scheme. And this is additional considerable expenses.

ATTENTION!

Liquid waterproofing for indoor use is not a panacea for all problems. With its help it is impossible to equip an effective water bar. It plays only the role of an auxiliary. If, after the construction of an underground garage, water appeared in it, then no putties will correct the situation.

STEP 2: VENTILATION OF UNDERGROUND GARAGE
Often you can hear complaints that because of the built-in underground "auto-house", an unpleasant smell of gasoline and other chemicals penetrates into the residential area. To ensure that the garage does not "poison" your life, you should take care of a constant air vortex for this technical room.

The norms of the intensity of air exchange in the "auto-house" are prescribed in the SNiP: 180 cu. m per hour for one car. Abroad requirements are even higher - 360 cu. m per hour. Provide such a "wind" will only be a coordinated work of supply and exhaust ventilation. Short-term ventilation under the means of opening the gate will not help to solve the problem.

Ventilation not only protects from exhaust gases, but also removes excess moisture from the room. This is especially true for heated garages, where the temperature difference between a cold car and a relatively warm room (no more than +5 ° C) will inevitably cause condensation on the bodywork. A steady influx of fresh air will quickly remove dampness and save the machine from premature corrosion.

Since the level of the underground garage is below the ground, for effective operation of ventilation, mandatory mechanisms are necessary. There are two options for its arrangement:

1. Monoblock

In this device are connected two units responsible for the inflow and exhaust of air. Monoblock distinguish compact size and ease of installation, but the expensive cost (from 2000 cu). But the atmosphere inside the room is ideal.

2. Modular construction

It consists of two separate blocks responsible for the inflow and exhaust of air. Their joint work is established with the help of sensors that follow the microclimate of the technical room.

ATTENTION!

All cables in the underground "auto-house" should be covered with a special layer of insulation, which prevents combustion. Also, the car owner must install a fire alarm.

An interesting trend in Moscow: garage cooperatives are transformed into residential areas. The owners rent out their boxes as flats for non-residents.
And today I will tell you about it and show the process of construction of one house-garage, in which they will live for 5 years.

Preamble. In the early spring of 2006, I came to work in Moscow. Like the other people who came in large numbers, he started with rented accommodation. By 2008, the prices and the condition of this housing, as well as the "services" of realtors, I already pretty podzaye ... fed up. I began to look for an alternative. I will not bore the reader with a description of all the options and factors considered by me, but by the autumn of 2008, the idea was formed in the final form: - to buy the cheapest garage, in the closest place to work and a comfortable place to live - design and build housing will depend on the specific conditions of the construction site) - the costs should be minimal (as it is unreasonable to make large investments in a pilot project) and phased (since it is unreasonable to spend the whole budget at once), - the planned project budget is about a stake of 300 thousand rubles. Yes exactly so - approximately the annual cost of rent in Moscow.

With the choice of construction site, everything is simple. He looked through all the ads for the sale of garages, chose the cheapest options, inspected them (immediately with an eye to the possibility of rebuilding into housing), carried out a survey of the area and a survey of Aboriginals (for other interesting options, the nature of the environment, the possibilities of connecting to electricity, the prospects of demolition and etc.). As a result, on September 27, 2008, a metal garage was selected and bought for only 45,000 rubles, 10 minutes on foot from the metro station, in the prestigious district of the capital, at 9 km. from work and only 10 km. from the Kremlin. One of the local inhabitants was spinning at the gate in anticipation of "prostovy".

Construction was carried out on weekends, by own strength (1 person). Excellent workout after a week of office work at the computer! So the pluses of the project can be attributed and savings on the visit to the gym. In the active phase of construction, the phrase "Oooh, finally Monday !!!" was relevant to me. We disassemble (and in some places - simply break) the old garage. The liberated metal is neatly stored nearby - it will still be useful to us.

We are clearing the construction site for a new building ...

And level the soil.

We deliver KAMAZ sand ...

And level the sand pillow under the design mark.

Oh, I already describe the progress of construction, but forgot to acquaint the curious reader with the project. So what am I building here? And I'm building, no less, a two-storey modular cottage, with completely autonomous life support systems. Two-story - it's understandable. Modular - consisting of modules that can be quickly and easily rebased. I did not know all the risks of the project at that time, so I preferred to have a spare option in case of, say, the demolition of garages, problems with the environment, etc. There would be problems - loaded the modules with a crane in two trucks and moved to another site. Completely autonomous life support systems means complete freedom from all centralized communications and "bindings" to a certain place, using only own and imported resources and, therefore, to no one in any way obligated. My project was impeccable, including legally: the site was allocated to me as a member of a garage cooperative (which is documented), I will install two modules on it, without foundation, on the ground, which are essentially steel cubes (this is the permitted use of the site). I have documents on the dice and their contents. These laws can not apply to any laws relating to real estate or housing (since they are simply not either one or the other). Thus, I answer the question of the lawfulness of living in the garage - no laws are violated, no one in the garage lives, and no one has the right, in any way, to limit the owner of the iron cube, in his right to be inside this cube or store various objects and liquids in it . With the exception of explicitly prohibited by law - such as weapons, drugs, explosives, etc. That is, the complete autonomy of life support systems is also a factor in the legality of the location of such a structure on a site not equipped with either water supply or sewerage. However, for 5 years, no one has ever made any claims to me, did not ask any questions, did not check the legality of my residence. But nevertheless, I was ready for any surprises. Perhaps the reader already guessed that with such a serious approach to the matter and careful consideration of all the details, the project was doomed to success? Yes, that's right. But a little later.

And while the future successful Muscovite, poses after a hard day of work on sanding the shovel and leveling it in level, against the backdrop of the future lair of luxury and comfort. Photographed asked a passing pedestrian. The person has hidden - what for to me superfluous popularity?

On the leveled sand lay sheets of metal from the roof of the dismantled garage. The result is an ideally horizontal platform with a solid (steel!) Coating. You can install the first module. Surprise! In addition to the detailed PHOTO report, I have a detailed financial report and timekeeping. How else? The investment project is not fucking doggy! An accurate assessment of its economic performance is necessary. Thus, the reader, very soon you will receive an accurate and exhaustive answer to the question "How to build a house in Moscow for 300 thousand rubles?", Troubling "Muscovites, spoiled by the housing issue", at least from the time of the creative heyday of the author of the quoted phrase. Here is the chronology and costs at the time the site is ready (I apologize for the destruction of formatting when transferring data from Excel): 27.09.2008 Buying a garage 45 000 Entrance fee to GSK, payment for 2008 2 000 04.10.2008 Flashlight, battareyki 97 04.10.2008 Ax 156 05.10 .2008 Shovel bayonet 160 11.10.2008 Scrap, shovel, shoe, mittens, lace-plumb, bucket. 900 Oct 23, 2008 Profiles of zinc. 3 m. 3 pcs. 420 Vaterpas 1,5 m 550 Scissors for metal 300 Plummet 200 25.10.2008 Castle hinged 78 Sand quarry 8 m3 6 000 Total, as of October 25, 2008, 55,861 rubles were invested.

We collect the back wall, using the details of the old garage. By the way, the exit to the back yard is ready - the gate in the gate from the old garage is quite functional. And the former gates themselves are now just part of the wall.

The total construction budget by December 7, 2008 amounted to 186 thousand rubles. It's normal, it seems that we will meet the planned budget! By the way, as a tip: Never buy READY block-containers. The quality of their manufacture and especially the insulation is a complete zvizdets! I had to remove the cladding and practically re-lay heat and wind insulation. To the crooked laid, SEATS, 5-cm. foam, added 5-cm. layer ISOVER 11. As a result, the total thickness of the insulation was 100 mm and all the cracks were eliminated. It turned out to be an "arctic" modification of the block-container! In general, it was necessary to buy only a skeleton with an external rope, independently insulate, lay the floor and make the covering of the walls and ceiling from GYPSOKARTON and paper with wallpaper. At a price, in the end, it would have turned out almost the same, but in quality - incomparably better. So, the core of the structure is ready, the fate of the project depends now only on the creation of reliable and autonomous life support systems. The question with the heating system was solved unexpectedly simply - it turns out that the European bourgeoisie has long ago, and on an industrial scale, produce the ideal solution to the problem of autonomous heating of small buildings - a gas convector. Who cares about technical details - google yourself, but I'll be honest - they shocked me!

This convector + propane cylinder = reliable, stable, comfortable heat in any shed, for a mere penny. Piezo ignition, thermostat, protection against burner extinction. Air intake and exhaust of combustion products - outside, along a coaxial pipe, which is also a heat exchanger, which warms incoming air with the heat of exhaust gases (+ 10% to efficiency). The combustion chamber is completely isolated from the room, so even in the worst (almost unbelievable) case, the gas will not penetrate the room, but will escape through the pipe and dissipate. I applaud the bourgeois engineers and manufacturers, and I buy this miracle of engineering thought for 10 000 rubles. Is not he beautiful?

We install, strictly following the instructions and showing their own ingenuity and ingenuity. By the way, as it turned out, to sheathe (even plastic!) The wall with galvanizing was superfluous. This device does not heat the wall on which it hangs at all. I put a galvanized sheet under it, misunderstood the word "CONVECTOR" in its name. Note: Wikipedia kindly informs us that "CONVECTOR is a heater in which heat from a coolant or a heating element is transferred to a heated room by CONVECTION Natural convection, in which warm air, already heated by contact with a coolant or heating element, rises to the top, and its the place takes the cooler air of the room, is enhanced by the convector design. " I stand up and applaud again the bourgeois engineers!

And finally the long-awaited moment! Turn the knob, click the button piezorozzhiga - in the viewing window, we see how the blue light flared over the burner.

The heat exchanger (a black case with an inspection window) began to heat up. Here it is already burning hot. I install a beautiful white case into place - a stream of warm air begins to flow through its openings. Approximately in half an hour in a sweatshirt it becomes hot and I undress. After another half an hour, the temperature in the room reaches room temperature.

Wind-proof grille at the end of the coaxial pipe of the convector (Coaxial - means an exhaust pipe located in the center of the air intake pipe).

On the street - minus 10. The heating system is completely ready and tested. More I will not have to change clothes in the cold in the dried, frozen overalls. December 27, 2008. Soon the New Year. On Christmas holidays I leave for my homeland, I will continue my Moscow construction after my return. All with the coming! Good luck to us in 2009!

January 2009. Linen flooring. I install furniture

I'm pumping furniture. I make the bed. Judging by the size of the bed, I am an optimist and I am confident that Muscovites will appreciate the comfort of my house and my own dignity and will be here frequent guests (at least) or cohabitants (ideally). As they say: "The man's self-esteem can be judged by the number of condoms taken by him on a date, even if this meeting is the first."

Heating works, bed is available. Produce a test overnight. Alone. In a steel box, in the middle of a strange, uninhabited territory crowded with garbage garages. Fine. During the night the house warmed up well, in the morning it was warm and cozy. I have breakfast with cookies, washing with water from a bottle. I want hot tea - I need to get a hot plate urgently. But it's not a problem. On the agenda the most critical issue for the project is autonomous water supply and sewerage, efficient showers and sinks. If you can not solve this issue - it's not a residential cottage, but just a heated barn. The problem with the sink is solved simply - I use a time-tested, "village" system. It should be noted that I was born and raised in the countryside, so I do not experience a cultural shock, when I see the washstand. Advantages of the washstand are its simplicity and super-economy in the consumption of water. In the end, the first 17 years of my life I used only a washstand, millions of Russian villagers and summer residents are still using them, and no one complains. With a shower question is more complicated. I'm an office worker - a daily shower, shaving and a clean shirt are mandatory for me. I know that a person with a short haircut, enough for washing, 10 liters of warm water. To qualitatively wash with so much water, it is necessary that its thin trickle flows from above and can be quickly adjusted and overlapped. A compact shower cubicle with a warm water reservoir from above and a tap is emerging. Cumulative electric water heater under the ceiling? Not an option - you can not count on an uninterrupted power supply, a low ceiling and a high shower tray do not leave space for a water heater, besides, you need to ensure the possibility of simply draining the water from the system. To be able to completely turn off the heating in winter, for periods of my long absence. I choose a simpler, more reliable and non-volatile option: the water is heated to the desired temperature in a 15-liter enamel tank on the gas stove (ready-to-cook time 15-20 minutes), then pumped into a compact storage tank above the shower, from where it is consumed as needed. Ended - the additional portion from the tank is pumped up. So, in a week for one person you need 60-70 liters of tap water and about 10 liters of drinking water (I have lunch and lunch at work, in the evenings only tea.) And so, to ensure water supply, once a week I have to purchase in Ashan 2 five-liter bottles of drinking water (for 100 rubles) and free of charge with tap water 2 dvadtsatitrovyh cans and 3 decilitrol. It's a question - in the nearest shopping center I load cans into the cart, fill it with water from any found water tap and tinkle the cart to the car. I load canisters into the trunk, then 15 meters I carry canisters from the trunk to the house. A small physical load is very useful office plankton! And you can refuel with water at work, or friends, but anywhere. One "BUT", the car becomes part of the water supply system (and gas supply - too), its loss for a long time is very critical - you have to bring gas and water by taxi.

I buy a shower cubicle and start assembling it. The pan and walls are assembled.

Other components (sink, wash-hand basin, gas cooker)

We mold "from that was" the reservoir tank with the tap. We connect the components with hoses.

The "heart" of the system is a dacha shower-tipton. Its energy independence and the highest technical and economic characteristics make it the undisputed leader among all other possible pump options. Pumping 10 liters of water - this is only 20 times (without distraction from washing) to massage the heels of elastic red "boobs" (which for men, you see, is not at all difficult, but rather - nice :)

A washstand, a sink, a gas cooker are ready. The hose behind the washstand is connected to the pump. It is necessary to lower its end in a tank with warm water, standing on a tile. And you can go to the shower.

You ask: "But what about washing?" I answer: "As long as there are self-service laundries in Moscow, it's easier to go and wash in rented washers, than to build an autonomous and to bring water for it" 200 rubles costs 1 washing machine per 8 kg. linen. I just bought 30 shirts and 30 pairs of socks and only washed once a month. I loaded 3 machines at the same time. Total, the cost of washing was about 600 rubles a month. He watched the TV for a while, waiting for the end of the wash. Wet laundry washed in bags and brought home. He hung out, fully opened the ventilation and added a temperature to the heater's thermostat. A few hours later the laundry was drying. Imagine the amount of evaporated moisture from the amount of laundry and estimate the power reserve of the heater and ventilation system. In the photo - about one-fifth of the usual amount of washing is damped.

Sewerage. Originally - in cans. From the washstand: in winter - in a 10-liter, standing under the sink,

In the summer - in the 30-liter canister the soul standing on the street.

Why is winter not the same? From the shower there is a one-time powerful discharge of warm water and the pipe does not freeze - all water drains from it before the preheated pipe freezes. At the washstand the drainage is sluggish - the pipes will not warm up and the water in them will be gradually frozen. As I wrote above, draining the canalization into canisters, allows me to declare the autonomy of the building and its lack of influence on the surrounding area. In case of attempts to claim to me, I could demonstrate the tightening of sewer cans with stoppers, loading them into cars and exporting them for disposal, in an unknown direction. However, since no claims were made, and soapy water does not belong to highly toxic waste, there were no problems with its disposal in the contaminated territory of the garage cooperative. About a couple of times a week (and only in winter), you need to empty the canister of the washbasin. Once every 2 days (in summer) - a shower canister. In winter, instead of a canister, a plastic bucket is placed and kicked on its bottom, in the nearest snowdrift, an ice is poured daily in the form of this bucket. In the spring it melts. Chitoplyuyam wishing to rule on the topic "Misguided Moscow" I recommend to walk around the garages and admire the puddles of engine oil, dump canisters from under him, waste filters, bottles, bags, corpses of stray dogs (and their future followers, also not cleaning territory), etc. This is really a problem. And given that the garbage containers are spread everywhere, its cause is in the banal laziness and the nuisance of the aborigines. Once again, the construction of my building provides for the export and disposal of waste. Of course, haha, I took out the liquid waste and handed it over for recycling to a specialized company. If necessary, I will even present supporting documents. Legality and order - first of all! So, the basic life support systems are ready (in addition to the described there is still a ventilation system and later there will be an air-conditioner). I will not describe the toilet, because I do not see any problems with its device. There are dozens of ready-made solutions - from an elementary plastic bottle and bucket to biotoilets of different designs, shapes and volumes. And there is just a great solution - autonomous sewerage   . This is by far the most optimal way of cleaning domestic sewage. After all, if you, the reader, can not solve the problem of disposing of several hundred grams of your own excrement yourself, then what, baby, do you do on this site? And where does your mummy look?

Since the end of March 2009, I began to permanently reside in my new home, while building it up. All the same - only on weekends. Internal situation in 2009

On the wall hung a thermometer with a remote sensor. Above - the temperature inside, below - on the street.

In June 2009, I connected to electricity, got used to, got used to ...

And the construction intensified.

From the remnants of the old garage, the rear facade was built up.

I bought an inverter welding machine and a "Bulgarian". And the work began to boil.

The annex is attached to the modules on the screws - to preserve the ability to quickly disassemble and transport the building.

Practice in the manufacture of steel doors decided from a reserve exit on the 2nd floor (on the roof of a neighbor). Given that the welding work I just learned on the Internet, for the first door - not bad. Only after digging a kilogram of electrodes, I began to feel a little the essence of arc welding - to understand the dependence of the exposed current on the thickness of the weld metal, the position of the seam, etc. It seems that welding is important experience - the longer and more you cook, the better the stitch.

General view of the emergency exit door.

The summer landscape from the backyard is not a country idyll?

After training in welding we pass to the main facade.

The door of the main entrance from the inside ...

And outside

I proceed to painting the facade. To work with the upper part of the facade, from the last remnants of the old garage (pediments), built in the forest. With a fenced work platform! Working with the stairs is too dangerous, and it was not part of my plans to become an invalid. Non-observance of safety precautions is the cause of injury! And given the specifics of construction, injuries could be severe, even lethal. So the flight from the stairs could easily stop both this project and my ability to active life.

Painted main facade.

The fence was built from the remnants of the material so that the passing cars did not splash mud from the puddle onto the freshly painted facade and the gate.

I work off the eastern wall

The roof is already ready

And the sealed joint of the western wall with the neighbor's roof is also ready.

SUDDENLY! Came film crew, ponastavila props, cameras, actors and began shooting some series about cops and bandits! Apparently the brutality of our landscape has not left the filmmakers indifferent! Thus, the freshly painted facade of my house, made its modest contribution to Russian cinema. Alas, for the general public, this vivid film debut went unnoticed. In vain I suspended my work so as not to disturb the filmmakers with the noise of the "Bulgarians".

After a couple of hours the filmmakers moved to shoot shootings on the roofs of neighboring garages, and I continued to work on the eastern facade. He welded a window with a powerful grill and a door for one more emergency exit.

Inside, the floor made of plywood made of steel beams from the corner

Soon I will replace this temporary staircase with a new one.

Another window with a lattice (on the northern facade)

It's the same outside

I'm making a new staircase. Steel ...

With wooden ...

Steps.

Let's take a look at the first module. Stock. Just a warehouse of tools, building materials, households. utensils. Illuminates the searchlight.

It's November already. Construction season 2009 is over. It's cold and rainy. The window of the welding mask fogs from breathing. Perimeter of the building is closed. By the winter is ready.

Inside, too, almost everything is built. Remained finish.

Let's sum up the outgoing year 2009. In the fate of the house this year was the main one. During this year, from a vague project, the house is turned into my cozy and beloved home. I did not have to jostle in the metro - the road to work took me about 15-20 minutes of quiet driving to the car, through the most beautiful places of Moscow, on roads not prone to "traffic jams". My parking space (and even a few), right under the window, was always free. I did not have noisy neighbors, guitarists and drunks did not gather under the window. In a word, I lived in an idyllic, not feeling any problems that bother Muscovites. My neighbors (and appearing only in the afternoon) were the owners of garages and workers of various car-care centers, in abundance located on the territory. Excellent men, often surpassing me in directness, experience and enthusiasm. The only difference is that their enthusiasm for a variety of transport, and my - building a house. I'm also interested in auto technology, but my Toyota, being very reliable, did not often spoil me with the opportunity to show my ability to repair it. Nevertheless, it was great to have friends-avtospetsov in the neighborhood with all sorts of tools, knowledge and experience. To observe the process of carrying out their work, the progress of their auto projects, to examine and discuss their mega-creations. Neighbors repeatedly rescued me with advice, tools, details, and even once - the first medical aid (I injured my hand in inaccurate work with the "Bulgarian"). Thank you, neighbors! Total costs as of 31.12.2009 - 297,319 rubles. The budget is almost exhausted, but the building is almost ready. In addition, it has long been used and already saves me a lot of money. It is necessary in the next year to revise the budget in the direction of increase - the house is about to be self-supporting. All with the upcoming 2010! Good luck to us in the future (abnormally hot).

Winter 2010. The dream to live in a house with a beloved woman has not yet been realized. It's not a woman who has to live, but three gas cylinders. One feeds the heater, another one - in reserve. The third (small) - for the plate.

In the frosty periods of January-February, the balloon lasts for 8-9 days. One ends - I connect another, and next weekend I'm taking an empty tank to refuel. I store the refueled tanker on the street, I put it inside shortly before the replacement. Cylinders are certified and tested. The safety instructions for the use of gas appliances have been recomputed several times. But we have to break it for more complete gas production from cylinders. Spare exits are cleaned of snow. To suffocate, explode or burn in my plans is not included. Break through. For heating the house, during the year, it is required to burn 17 cylinders of propane. The main number is in the frosty January-February.

February 2010. Stormy snowstorm. I watch from the window behind the slipping cars. Then he took a shovel and went to dig a poor fellow. They are freedom from the snow captivity, me - a useful fiznigruzka in the fresh air. And why are they stuck there? Haha so gas? I'm on my typewriter (it's in the foreground of the photo) into any snowfall there I drive. Vnatyag.

Built a new shelf for the TV - you can install shelves at any height and add more (if necessary)

Made a sealed ceiling in the shower and replaced the storage tank for a more advanced model. The shower cubicle should be as tight as possible - fewer steam emissions and warmer.

It was spring of 2010 - finished painting the facade.

We paint in the same color scheme and in the favorite "industrial" design.

The exterior finish of the building is completed.

I proceed to interior decoration.

The fallen in love color and inside looks good.

Signal, red color designate dangerous, steep steps. I did not do the railing - they would prevent me from carrying gas cylinders, for which, a year later, in the spring of 2011, I paid a price - stumbled, went down the stairs on the coccyx. It was very, very painful. Got a memorable lesson about the need for strict compliance with building codes and regulations.

Pipes are insulated.

Lined with linoleum in the corridor of the 2-floor

Installed the air conditioner.

Type of air conditioner from the inside. I bought it for a pittance, back in May, before the beginning of the heat and fires of 2010. Therefore, especially in the heat did not suffer - he slept wrapped in a quilt, blown in a fresh, cool breeze. A Th, it was really hard in Moscow in the summer of 2010?

We decorate the entrance with sidewalk tiles (adhering to the chosen color scheme) and a wooden dais.

Spread the same tile floor of the 1st floor.

Actually, everything. On this construction is finished, the object is ready. July 10, 2010. The cost of this date is 328,669 rubles. We can consider them as the final construction budget. Although, if you look closely at the costs more carefully, the costs are already full of operating and domestic expenses. So I suggest to consider that I promised to meet the promised 300 thousand. And given that I have been living in the house for more than a year, the amount of savings on rental housing has already exceeded the cost of construction. That is, the project ALREADY fully paid off and I "went into the plus"! For one year! How do you find such investment indicators?

October 2010. It's time to take care of comfort. Yes, and hesitated constantly to pump this inflatable mattress. I bought a brand new, orthopedic.

January 2011. In the absence of other physical work, I am amusing myself with cleaning the snow from my own and neighboring roofs. And also some kind of ice sculpture - in the photo a snowy sofa for ... yes, figs knows ...

March 2011. Sometimes I indulge in welding.

Here, for example, welded the bracket.

September 2011. Painted the window and grate. Updated the coloration of the fence. Covered the roof with a fresh layer of mastic. All. Other works are not trumpeted. Boredom.

November 2011. The problem. The power supply stopped. In principle, a small dependence on external communications was initially put into the project. Thinking, having counted, I bought a gasoline generator. 1 kW, digital, in a noise-proof housing.

Put him on the next roof. Tarahit quietly on the street ...

And in the house it's light and electrical appliances are working.

Winter 2012 Apparently, much yearning for women's love and there is an excess of unspent forces - how else to explain the creation of this snow sculpture in front of the house? Look at how the statue accentuates the chest, waist, hips, lips! Old man Freud, probably, could tell me much about me, looking at this creation))

The generator is moved inside, its summer area (and the door to it) is covered with abundant snow. The exhaust gases are recycled to the street through a pipe.

And inside is warm, light, clean and cozy.

In April 2012 decided to dramatically upgrade its power system. Power converter and special battery for 100 Ah, allow you to start the generator once a week, to charge the battery. Then there is no hassle - there is enough power for a week of laptop power and lighting.

Russian development. I applaud Russian engineers and manufacturers of this device! Technical details - google alone.

In the near future was the purchase of solar panels and a controller for them (by the way, also Russian). This would turn my house into a truly autonomous. A solar panel on the roof would add him +100500 to brutality and pathos. But the plans were not destined to come true - in June 2012 a new supplier of grid electricity appeared on the territory, I connected to it and closed the program of development of own, alternative, solar energy. Therefore, alas, the dear reader, you do not learn about the successful implementation of this, undoubtedly, the most interesting program. Although there were no obstacles to its completion, components were produced. On this my story comes to a happy end. For 5 years of life in this house, I saved about one and a half million rubles for renting housing, thereby greatly accelerating the process of accumulating the funds necessary to buy a Moscow apartment. Adding to the savings money from selling my apartment in the castle N-sk, I bought an excellent apartment in a beautiful place in Moscow, 7 minutes walk from the metro. Therefore, in July 2013, I moved from the house to my new apartment. A year later I plan to finish repairing it, and considering the planned repair budget (many times exceeding the budget of the experiment described above) and my enthusiasm for this business - the result promises to be terrific! Only this is another story ...

I finish my story with pictures of the empty house. In this form, he must move to a new owner. At the current time (October 2013), the house is put up for sale for 400 thousand rubles - i.е. practically at the cost of construction costs.
