Construction and repair by own hands

What to plant in the garden in the second half of the summer on the vacated beds. What can be planted in July?

Do you like eating fresh greens throughout the summer season? Then July is the time to take care of planting greens for the second half of the summer.

Almost all salad vegetables (arugula, watercress, lettuce, etc.) can be sown during the warm season, some of them yield the maximum yield when planting near the end of summer. It is important to sow the seeds of salads in well-moistened soil, otherwise the plants may prematurely coarse and begin to bitter.

In addition to the above cultivated plants, the beds in July can be sown with dill. The place for its planting should be light, the soil well loosened. If everything is done correctly, after 2-3 weeks the first green shoots will appear on the surface, after which the development will go swiftly. To accelerate germination of seeds of dill will help their preliminary soaking for 2-3 days (water needs to be changed once a day). As in the case of a salad, dill seeds should preferably be planted in moist soil.

Pay attention to spinach - a very useful, vitamin-rich cultural plant. It can be sown in the ground until mid-August.

The traditional Russian root crop - turnips are planted in the open ground until the middle of July. Until October, it will grow and gain vitamins. Similarly, the nearest relative of turnip is sown - daikon.

If you want to pamper yourself with borsch with fresh beets in the fall, then sow the seeds of this plant until the middle of July. Root crops will not turn out to be as large as those from the seeds planted the previous month, but they will be very tender and juicy. To accelerate growth, make narrower ridges and grow beets through seedlings.

Many of us have repeatedly bought frozen pods of beans in the store. To get something like this in your garden, sow the early-ripening shrub beans in the first half of July. Beans themselves in this case will not have time to fully form, but you will have time to collect tender green pods. In addition, the bean is a ciderate and enriches the soil well.

July is the right time to plant seedlings of early-white cabbage in the open ground. In 2 months, in the middle of September, it will be possible to collect small ripe heads from the beds.

At the same time, eastern cabbage (semi-oats, Peking, Chinese, etc.) are sown. For most of them, a short vegetative period is characteristic - from 50 to 60 days. Such late plantings are caused by an important feature of these plants. With a prolonged light day, they are actively forming a flower stalk (leading to a complete loss of harvest), and with a shorter - head and leaves.

Approximately in mid-summer, the most suitable time for re-planting broccoli comes, as the spring plants are considerably depleted by this time. Broccoli is a cold-resistant culture, so you can get a fresh harvest until the middle of autumn.

July  - this is the middle of summer, the month that people consider to be its heart. Most often this time is characterized by hot days and nights. But even during this period your garden or a small country plot can bring you a good harvest. After all, many of its parts are already starting to empty this month, because Everything that was planted there in the spring has already been collected. And, in order to increase the productivity of your land and avoid its idle time, it is recommended to re-land.

Another very important plus of planting the future harvest in July can be considered that the weed will not have the opportunity to expand all over the territory, because it will be occupied.

What can you plant and plant in July?

In order for the landing to be more effective, it is necessary to know what is more expedient to land in the first half of the month, and what - in the second. So, here's the list, which is recommended to plant in early July:

  • peas, but only on condition of constant and abundant watering;
  • summer radish varieties;
  • sorrel;
  • dill;
  • cauliflower (grows small, but it is much more delicious than its spring predecessors);
  • clustered beans;
  • broccoli.

With the beginning of July it is clear, now it is necessary to determine what can be planted at the end of July:

  • zucchini;
  • dill;
  • leaf salad;
  • cucumber, using already prepared seedlings;
  • tomatoes, it is also better to plant ready-made seedlings;
  • spinach;
  • onion lettuce;
  • ruku;
  • daikon;
  • peking cabbage;
  • white cabbage, only early varieties, on the maturation of which takes about 50 days.
What flowers to plant?

In addition to planting vegetables, many are fond of floriculture, and in general, beautiful flowers that grow near the house or in the courtyard, always delight the eyes of passers-by and residents of the house. Therefore, the flower growers are ready to deal with them all year round and hot July they are not a hindrance in this case, because the choice of plants that can be planted is quite extensive.

Here is a list of flowers that can be planted in July:

Looking at the huge list of what can be planted or planted in July, you come to the conclusion that garden lovers and flower growers will not be bored even in this sultry month. So do not worry that in the summer your piece of land is idle. Favorite by many a summer month gives all comers an excellent opportunity to do their favorite thing and constantly harvest.

In the middle of summer, ridges are removed from the early ripe varieties of potatoes, winter garlic, radish, lettuce, leafy greens planted in the spring. Careful owners, especially limited to traditional six hundred square meters, try to make the most of every piece of land, re-planting vegetable crops. Let's see what you can sow in the garden in July.

List of vegetables and herbs that can be sown in July in the garden

Regardless of which crops you have chosen for the summer planting, it is necessary to carry out preparatory work, loosening the site, selecting the roots of weeds and larvae of pests and enriching the soil with fertilizers. If you do not use siderates, then the introduction of organic is necessary, since the previous culture has taken out most of the nutrients from the soil.

Preparation of beds for re-planting and rules for crop rotation

Based on our experience, in summer it is best to fill the beds with mature compost, peat-humus mixture, qualitatively reparted manure of farm animals. Fresh manure for fertilizing planting vegetable crops is not good, because the high concentration of urea in it leads to the burning of roots. It is useful to enrich the soil with plant ashes  under all the cultivated plants in the garden.

From organomineral fertilizers it is expedient to use complex compositions. There are also specialized fertilizers for each plant species, for example, for cruciferous, for pumpkin, for beets, for carrots, etc. It is useful to enrich the soil with potassium humate, sodium humate, and also watering with EM solutions, for example, Baikal.

When re-planting it is necessary to take into account crop rotation rules  . It is unacceptable that representatives of the same species grow as precursors in the garden. For example, you can not plant after the radish other cruciferous cultures (including siderates) - cabbage, radish, mustard, clover, radish, and vice versa.

Plants belonging to the same species (genus) not only choose the same substances from the soil, but also suffer from the same diseases, the causative agents of which accumulate in the soil. And they have common pests, for example, cruciferous flea  . So it's better to plant salad after radishes, dill after potatoes, radish after garlic, cucumbers after leafy greens, cabbage after salad, garlic or potatoes, radish after cucumbers, lettuce or cabbage, etc.

What to plant in July for harvest in early autumn?

Cabbage

In July, it is recommended to plant early-ripening varieties of cabbage with the shortest possible vegetation period. Harvest, collected in October, can be laid for long-term storage. Technology of planting cabbage seeds is similar to spring sowing. Disinfected seeds (etch for a quarter of an hour in a weak solution of Phytolavin) are soaked for two days, placing them between the layers of cotton fabric and the bay with warm water.

Swollen seeds are planted in the wells, preliminarily moisturizing the soil. Cover the beds with agrofiber or film to protect against cruciferous fleas is not required, because in July it is hot weather and these goats are inactive, but systematic deep watering is mandatory. The harvest of the heads ripens by the end of September - early October. At us two crops for a season give kohlrabi and pekinka.

If you live in a region with a cold climate, early ripening of the crop will provide a seeding method. Cabbage seedlings, planted in separate containers in June, will grow up by the middle of summer and will be well adapted when transplanting into the open ground. Yes, and in a hot climate, the harvest is better through seedlings - to sprout cabbage a moderate temperature is more to your liking than a summer heat.

Cucumbers

Cucumbers planted in spring end vegetation in August, and planting cucumbers in July will provide you with fruits until the middle of autumn. Choose early varieties that quickly move into growth and begin active fruiting in a short time.

Planting the crop is similar to sowing cabbage. Used as planting seeds in the open ground, and seedlings. For rapid vegetation and recruitment of green mass, cucumber beds are required to provide regular abundant watering, especially in dry summers.

Leafy greens

To constantly have fresh greenery on the table, experienced vegetable growers conduct a constant replanting of dill, salad, coriander, arugula, basil, spinach. The greens in the garden feel fine until the first frost. Excess of leafy crops should be harvested for the winter, drying them or freezing.

It should be noted that the dill planted in August-September is much more luxuriant planted in the spring. Choose salad varieties that are suitable for summer crops. Carefully study the description on the package with seeds, as some sorts of leaf and cress lettuce quickly coarser and produce a floral arrow, so they do not fit for planting in July.

Radish

The best varieties for the July planting of the culture are Margelan, Japanese and Chinese radishes, and daikon  . When planting radish, do not bury seeds, allow them to germinate faster. The distance between the plants in the furrow is required to leave at least 25-30 cm, and in the aisles - about 35 cm.

Radish

It is advisable to cultivate the crop in the aisles between strawberries and garden strawberry  , whose leaves after fruiting many gardeners, as a rule, cut. A juicy radish is sown on empty areas in July-August.

For a quick harvest, the seeds are pre-germinated in a moist environment, and before planting, soak for half an hour in a growth stimulator, for example, Epin-Extra, Kornevin, Zircon, an ash infusion, aloe.

Beets and carrots

Roots have a "tight" germination, however, in summer they germinate much better, especially when organizing regular watering. Pre-planting material of early varieties of beets and carrots is decontaminated by soaking in a solution of ash infusion (a tablespoon of ash per liter of pure water).

The treatment with growth stimulators accelerates the sprouting of sprouts on beds. After the appearance of seedlings, it is necessary to conduct thinning. Between the plants leave about 7 cm. Root crops harvested in autumn have a higher concentration of sugar, so not all varieties are suitable for laying for long-term savings.

Sowing in summer in free areas

If you do not plan repeated planting of vegetables, then sift the liberated areas sideral plants  , which will prevent the growth of weeds, rehabilitate, loosen and structure the soil, fill it with valuable biologically active compounds - nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, humus and a complex of trace elements, improving chemical and physical parameters.

Cedarates in a short time build up the green mass, which in autumn remains on the surface of the soil. Decomposing, greenery and dead roots enrich the soil with useful chemical elements and provide ideal conditions for development useful soil microflora  . The experience of adherents of natural agriculture shows that the use of siderial crops can completely replace the traditional autumn application of organic manure, manure, birds, compost, etc.

The best siderates are: clover, alfalfa, mustard, rye, oats, beans, peas, vetch, phacelia, buckwheat, rape. Falling asleep biomass fallen leaves  fruit trees in September, you will prepare the beds for the next summer season, even for such "greedy" for organic cultures, like cucumbers. On the same sites, after three weeks after cutting, it is recommended to hold the landing podzimnie garlic  , carrots, parsley, onions.

For many, the garden plot is a panacea for all diseases, giving not only spiritual joy and health, but also providing an opportunity to eat useful fruits and vegetables grown by oneself.
If we take the middle band of Russia, then in July the harvest of some crops is already taking place. In order to gardeners all summer with fresh vegetables and herbs, and also stocked with a good harvest for the winter, you can plant some vegetables in July, which will have time to mature before the fall. It is a well-known fact that some root vegetables tolerate much better storage in winter during late sowing. Let's see in more detail which vegetables and greens can be planted in July.

Planting greenery

Let's start with greenery. In the middle of summer, you can plant dill. This plant contains a lot of carotene and other nutrients. In its composition dill has a lot of vitamins, salts of phosphorus, iron and calcium. Young dill leaves are very good as a condiment to a variety of dishes - salads, meat, vegetable, fish, to soups. Dill is also used as a spice in the phase of seed formation when pickling tomatoes and cucumbers, when cabbage is sour, etc.

Dill is an annual plant, it is not demanding to the soil, it is cold-resistant. Dill greens can be used for food as early as 25 days after planting. The period of aging of dill seeds is 90 days. Dill loves the soil in which there are organic and mineral fertilizers. Care for dill is the timely weeding, loosening and watering. It is possible to recommend the following fragrant varieties for growing dill - Ogorodny, Sukhumi and Armenian.

You can advise you to plant salads in July, which are of different types: leaf lettuce, cabbage, Roman salad rumen, watercress and others. Salads are a whole storehouse of vitamins, as well as lemon and nicotinic acid, calcium, iron, potassium, phosphorus compounds in the leaves of the salad. Used in fresh form, added to various summer salads. The optimum temperature for growing a salad is 20 degrees Celsius. This culture is very fond of organic fertilizers and does not tolerate acidic soils. Varieties of different kinds of lettuce are widely spread: Maikop, Berlin, Bettner, Great Lakes. Salad greens can be sown every 3 weeks until the most frost. Culture requires ordinary care - thinning of thickened rows, loosening, watering. Loves a long light day.

The next plant that can be recommended to plant in July is spinach. This vegetable culture is very rich in vitamins. Spinach surpasses all other plants in iron content. In its leaves, except iron, contain - copper, arsenic, protein, sugar. Spinach is useful for improving the work of the heart, circulatory system, for the prevention of gastrointestinal diseases. Eat spinach leaves, which grow 15 days after planting. Loves moist soils rich in humus. It should be borne in mind that when a drought occurs, spinach begins to shoot violently. Good varieties of spinach - Victoria, Zhirnolistny, Godri, Virofle.

Radish planting

In July, you can plant radish, but certain varieties that are not prone to arming. Otherwise it is necessary to create an artificial way radish for a shorter light day - about 19 hours to cover it with dark opaque material. In July, you can safely plant radishes - Red Giant, Autumn Giant, Wurzburg, Mokhovsky and others.

Planting turnip

Until July 15, you can plant in your garden such a valuable culture as turnip. For the winter it is best to store a turnip, just a summer sowing. Repe contains a lot of vitamin C, B1, B2, A, PP and others, a rare anti-cancer element glucoraphanin, metals and trace elements - iron, copper, manganese, iodine, zinc, as well as phosphorus, sulfur, calcium, magnesium. Turnip ripens depending on the variety from 45 days to 90 days. It should be noted that turnip badly tolerates heat, drought. From insufficient irrigation turnip will be bitter and shallow.

Planting beets

If there is a desire in the fall to have a young root crop of the dining room beet, it can be sown in July. This plant contains such vitamins and nutrients as C, PP, the whole group B, iron, magnesium, iodine, phosphorus, copper, calcium. Beetroot increases immunity, improves heart function, metabolism. It is also a product that has a rejuvenating effect on the human body. This plant loves the sun and moisture. Beets grow well on narrow beds. To shorten the maturation period, it is best to grow it through seedlings.

In early July it is possible to plant seedlings of early white cabbage, for which there will be enough 50-55 days. Also in July, broccoli is planted, which will bear fruit until the middle of autumn. Mid-summer is the time for planting Peking cabbage and kohlrabi. Everyone knows about the useful properties of different types of cabbage. First of all, they have a very effective anti-cancer effect on the human body. Cabbage planted in summer will grow well with sufficient moisture.

And here, for example, such heat-loving plants as, basil, mint - it's time to plant in July. When planting in the spring, they do not have enough heat. In the middle of summer, these plants have the most active growth.

Planting of legumes

To nutrient greens was young and fresh, in July you can re-plant celery and parsley. When planting beans and green peas of early varieties in their own garden in July, with good weather, you can get pods-zelenots, and beans. It is necessary to pay attention to the fact that planting peas and beans should be done in a seedling manner and choose early maturing varieties. If the weather in the summer is bad, then the benefits of peas and beans will be to obtain an excellent siderata for the soil. Green peas and beans contain a large amount of vegetable protein and fiber. If you use these products in moderation, you can bring your digestive system to order.

Planting a radish

A very popular culture among gardeners is the radish. The most useful radish, just in time, is planted in July. Radish seeds are sown in moist soil to a depth of 2 cm. It is necessary to keep the soil moist before emergence. It is necessary to thin the radish several times. Ensure that the plant is not articulated, but went to the root crop. Radish likes organic fertilizers and moisture. Clean the radish in late autumn. It is stored well. The storage conditions for the radish are the same as for beets and potatoes. The following grades of radish - Ladushka, Sultan, black Levin - proved to be very good.

In July - a month, sowing of such perennial useful plants as sorrel, tiered onion, onion-batoon are produced. In one place a multi-tiered onion can grow up to five years. In the leaves of many-tiered onions, up to 90% of ascorbic acid is contained, which is twice as high as that of a simple onion. At such an onion, at the end of the arrows that appear, a nest of small air bulbs appears, which can be used for greenhouse planting. Green onion from air bulbs is removed about 30 days after planting.

Now a few words about sorrel. Sorrel, like many other crops, planted in early spring and summer. At the July planting of sorrel, young leaves will ripen to the autumn table. In the leaves of sorrel contains organic acids - apple, oxalic, lemon, mineral salts of iron and potassium, as well as vitamins PP, B, C, A. However, you can only use young leaves of sorrel until they have accumulated in large quantities of oxalic acid, the excess It is harmful in some diseases. For the middle strip of Russia, such sorrel types as Shirokolistnyi, Maikopsky 10, Odessa 17 are suitable.

Onion-batoon is a very useful culture, containing in a large amount of salt of potassium, magnesium, iron, vitamins PP, C, B and sugar. Onion-batoon is very fond of fertile soil, you can grow in one place up to four years. Suitable varieties are Gribovsky 21, May 7, Salatny 35.

We examined the main useful crops that can be planted in July, and in autumn to get a good harvest.

The average summer cottages can not boast of the presence of large areas on which you can land all that the soul desires. Therefore, one and the same beds have to be used for planting several crops per season. At the end of May-early June, there should be enough space after harvesting of early crops, and it is now a dilemma: to leave them empty or to try to grow something else. If you choose the second option, we will tell you what can be planted in June in the garden. Planted at this time, vegetables and greens have enough chances for development and maturation. The main thing in this case is to choose winter-hardy and late varieties that can withstand the sudden onset of early frosts.

Planting greens in June

The beginning of the summer is miraculously suitable for growing greenery, in particular dill, lettuce, basil, parsley, sorrel, celery, onion, garlic and fennel. Planted at this time, spicy herbs can be used for food after two months.

   For planting dill, the second decade of the month is best.  It can be placed on beds after early crops: cabbage, radish, cucumbers. Also a good site for cultivation of dill at this time will be one that is under the sun only before lunch, and after noon stays in the shade.

Did you know? In order for fennel seeds to sprout faster, they must be kept in hot water before planting.   It is very important to sow dill in moist soil, and then regularly water it. When the land is dried, the plant will go into the trunk and will not give more leaves. Before sowing, in the beds make humus or complex fertilizers. In the future, you do not need to feed the feces. To the plant as long as possible did not give umbrellas, it is necessary to avoid thickening of plantings.  The fennel grows quickly: 40 days pass from planting to harvesting greens. Autumnal fennel is more juicy and aromatic.

From what else to plant in the garden in June, you can advise basil. It is sown in the first half of the month. But not earlier than the 10th, since before this moment the probability of nocturnal frosts is still high. At an earlier time, the plant can be planted only in a greenhouse or a greenhouse.

For the basil take a well-lit area, which will need to fertilize with humus. Seeds are sown shallowly, a maximum of 1 cm. Wells are well watered beforehand. Seeds are sown at a distance of 10 cm from each other. Row spacing should not be narrower than 20 cm.

Important!  Works in the garden for planting different crops in June should be done on a dry and cloudy day or at sunset.   The first shoots should be well watered, and reduce watering only during flowering. When the first real leaves grow, the basil can be started to fertilize. For this, complex mineral fertilizers are used. They are made twice a month.

For good development and growth of culture, the distance between adult plants should be 20-25 cm. Therefore, when the sprouts begin to grow, they will need to be thinned out. The most powerful aroma the plant reaches during the flowering period, then it is cut to dry on the seasoning.

Root celery plant in the garden in early summer, in the first half of June. For him fit bright areas or land in a light shadow, which previously grew any vegetable crops.

   Plant celery out of the seedlings according to the scheme of 20 x 30. When planting an earthen clod is not destroyed. It is not necessary to deepen the soil in the soil.

  Celery does not like waterlogging and droughts.  It will need to be watered throughout the summer. In no case can not hill. Celery leaves are used for food all season, tubers are excavated in mid-October.

Onion-batn can be sown three times a season: in spring, in summer and in autumn. The second seeding is carried out in June-July. It can be planted in the place where the early vegetables grew, always in the penumbra, because under the bright sun it will fade. In the place where the onion earlier grew, this plant is not recommended to plant.

  The beds are fertilized with compost.  Seeds are deepened into the ground by 1-1.5 cm, and at the end of the sowing water is abundantly watered and mulched. After the emergence of sprouts, they are thinned - the intervals between the plants should be 9 cm. In the heat, the onion should be watered every other day, at auspicious time - twice a week. An obligatory element for the care of the baton is loosening, as well as the timely removal of arrows. If they are not removed, the onion will become stiff. For eating, feathers are cut. After each pruning, the plants are fertilized with mullein or wood ash.

Vegetable can be planted both with the help of seedlings, and directly into the open ground. In the latter case, with a long light bottom, the plant can pass the phase of the growth of "kochanchikov", it has a rapid formation and stretching of shoots. This means that fennel is best sown at the end of June, already when the duration of the day will go down, that is, after the 22nd day.Suitable for its landing are open sunny or slightly shaded areas.

   The depth of seeds during sowing should be 2 cm. The first shoots must be wait after 10-14 days. The distance between the plants should be kept at 40-50 cm. Fennel care is simple and consists of watering and periodic loosening of the soil.

And about what vegetables are planted in the garden in June, you can learn in detail from the following sections.

Planting vegetables in June

From vegetable crops in the first weeks of June it is possible to plant beets, carrots, legumes, corn, radish, turnips, tomatoes, cucumbers. Eggplants and pepper are planted under the film.

There are several conditions that must be observed when planting vegetables in the garden at this time. At the onset of severe heat, vegetables are helped to cope with it through the introduction of feeding.For normal growth and fruit setting during this period, fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium are recommended. In the second half of summer, feeding should be stopped.

It is also important not to overdo with watering, even on particularly dry days. For carrots, scallops, cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini, beets when planting them in the garden in June, it will be enough to have two copious irrigation a week.

Soil under vegetables should often be loosened, necessarily after watering. Places of the arrangement of the roots should preferably be covered from the sun. You can pour soil humus, peat or sawdust.

Carrots are sown in the first or second decade of the month. Choose the areas where cabbage, potatoes, and greens used to grow. They should be light, without a shadow.

If carrots are planted on food, then choose the early varieties, for storage - medium and late. For planting during this period, such varieties as Flakke, Incomparable, Shantane, Losinoostrovskaya are suitable.

Did you know? Planting carrots in June avoids attacks on her carrot fly-flea.    To quickly start the process of germination of seeds, they stand for five days in warm water. Then, for a day, it is placed in a refrigerator for quenching at a temperature of 0 ° C.

On the beds make five longitudinal grooves or transverse furrows, leaving between them 18-20 cm. The grooves are watered. Seeds in them fall asleep at a distance of 1-1.5 cm from each other. The furrows are mulched with peat and covered with a film. Seedlings should be poured in 5-6 days, after which they will need to be weeded out. In the future, the soil must be regularly loosened.    Carrot cleaning should be done before the onset of cold snap, in September.

Gardeners say that it is perfectly possible to plant in June and beets. It is placed on solar patches. Seeds before sowing are soaked in warm water, they must be sown in dry form. Shoots are shown after 1.5-2 weeks. When they grow up to 3 cm in height, they will need to be weeded out. Watering is carried out every two weeks.

Did you know? Beets, carrots and radishes, planted in June, are stored much longer and better than those sown in the spring.   It is important to harvest before the first frost, in October. Beets are suitable for winter storage in dry sand.

Radish loves the sun, so it must be planted in the garden in open and well-lit beds. This vegetable culture can be sown in the place of cucumbers, potatoes, tomatoes.

   The holes for planting are digged out 1-2 cm deep. They are placed at a distance of 4-6 cm from each other. Between the beds leave 8-10 cm. One seed is laid in each hole, after which the beds should be covered. Radish requires frequent watering.

List of vegetables for planting in the garden in June can continue cabbage. It is grown with the help of seedlings, which is recommended to be planted in the open ground after 10 June. Seedlings are prepared for 3-4 weeks. In the garden it is better to plant it in places where before it grew beans, potatoes, beets, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions. The landing scheme: 40x25. After landing for two or three days, the seedlings will need to be sheltered from the sun's rays.

   This kind of cabbage is hygrophilous. Irrigation will need to be carried out every two to three days at the first time after planting and once a week in the future, before maturation. Irrigation is accompanied by loosening the soil. After 20 days spend hilling. Repeat the procedure after 10 days. Also after 20 days, the first fertilizing in the form of liquid mullein is made.

When planting from the 10th to the 20th the ripe stems can be harvested at the end of July. To use, they are ready for reaching 8-10 cm in diameter.

Corn

For sowing corn, a sunny area protected from the wind is suitable. Desirable predecessors will be cabbage, peas, potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes. Sow corn is necessary at a time when the probability of frost is reduced to zero. Usually - after the 10th day (the land should warm up to +8 ... + 10 ° C). High temperatures (above +30 ° C) during corn sowing negatively affect fertilization.

   The plant is planted and seedlings, and sowing seeds in the open ground.  In the first case, seedlings are sown in April, and June is planted on the garden. Directly on open seed beds, sowing is carried out in June. The landing scheme: 30x50. Seeding depth: 2-5 cm. Place 2-4 seeds per well in each well. The crops are watered abundantly. A desirable measure will be sheltering beds with a film, which will allow the seeds to germinate faster and protect the shoots from unforeseen frosts.

After the appearance of sprouts and the second leaf, the seedlings are thinned out so that one plant remains in each hole. Watering is carried out once a week. Of the maintenance activities are necessary loosening and weeding of the soil, hilling, feeding with potassium once every two weeks.

Beans and peas can also be sown in June. The air temperature favorable for their growth is +20 ... + 25 ° С, soils - +12 ... + 14 ° С. Preceded by them can cabbage, potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers.

  Beans in June can be planted twice:in the period from 17 to 19 the number and from 28 to 30. Sow it in three rows in staggered order.  Two seeds are placed in the well, which must first be kept in a solution of potassium permanganate (1%). Depth of planting is 3-6 cm. The distance between the holes is 20-30 cm, the spacing is 30-45 cm.

To strongly not care about watering and loosening, it is desirable to wallow the soil. In the future, beans require regular weeding. Harvest can be removed from the end of August and the beginning of October, depending on the variety and weather conditions.

Peas in summer can be planted until July 10, while choosing for planting early ripening varieties. Peas are sown in furrows fertilized with compost or humus, 5-7 cm apart, deepening into the soil to 5 cm. Seedlings should be waited after 7-10 days.

Planting seedlings in the open ground

From the third week of June, the most suitable period for planting seedlings of heat-loving plants comes. Until June 10, this is undesirable, since in some regions night frosts are still possible. Although, of course, everything will depend on the climate of the region in which you live, and the weather observed this season.    To the chances of growing seedlings in the open ground were high, before planting it is desirable to temper.  To do this, every day they try to take it out of the room to the street. Hardening begins from half an hour, gradually increasing the time of the seedling stay under the open sky for 10-15 minutes. So sprouts adapt more quickly to new conditions of growth in the open ground, the sun, the wind, etc., will become more enduring to unfavorable weather conditions.

In any case, at first the young plants will need to be sheltered during the day, since the scorching sun can destroy them. For this use, for example, paper caps.

Important! Protecting seedlings from the sun using shelters is necessary for the first two weeks after planting.   An important condition for planting seedlings will be planting it in the open ground in the evening, after the heat ceases.

Before planting, plants carefully examine and discard diseased or too weak. The roots are shortened by one third. In well-watered beds, sprouts are planted without destroying the earth's coma on the root system. Do not deepen the plants too much, as this may cause a slowdown in their growth.

After planting, and for the next five days, the seedlings should be well watered. You can also pour peat on the peat so that it retains moisture, and the earth is not covered with crust.

Did you know? The fact that the seedlings took root will be borne out two or three days after planting the morning dew on the edges of the leaves. This process is called gutation.

Seedlings of pepper begin to harden for 10-15 days before disembarkation into the open ground. On the garden it can be transferred from the first week of the month.
