Construction and repair by own hands

The order of the barbecue with a stove. How to build a gazebo with your own hands

When the sun warms up, there is nothing better than relaxing with friends or family in nature. For this you can get to the river or to the park. But if you have your own plot of land, you can create your own oasis for recreation.

An indispensable attribute of rest on the nature, is the preparation of delicious dishes on barbecue (mangal).

It is not so difficult to create this miracle oven by oneself. The projects are barbecue and uncomplicated. With a little effort, you will create a favorite place for your dacha or patio.

The barbecue is a metal grill that is installed over an open fire. Barbecue, unlike barbecue, a device without a lattice. Meat or vegetables are threaded on large spokes - skewers. Choose a suitable project barbecue or barbecue is not difficult, just sketch the necessary drawings.

There are quite a number of different barbecue projects: a barbecue with a smoker, a barbecue in the gazebo, a barbecue with a sink or a brazier, etc. Together with the barbecue you can immediately (drawings are also needed for additional structures). You can imagine how much your guests will be surprised! The barbecue, located in the gazebo, will allow everyone to enjoy the aroma of cooked vegetables and meat, and the owner, who cooks, will always be with his friends and family.

Choosing a project for the construction of barbecue (barbecue) for cottages or gardens, first of all, it is necessary to take into account:

  • what will be the distance from home to barbecue (barbecue). It is best that the stove is located near the kitchen, because during cooking often there is a need for dishes or products;
  • style barbecue (BBQ) should be suitable for the overall style of the villa or manor;
  • if the site is small, the project in which the oven is located near a huge gazebo, you will not be suitable;
  • it is necessary to take into account the value of the foundation, because the weight (mangala) is quite large;
  • shape and height determine the appearance and usability;
  • need for a canopy or gazebo;
  • the project with additional elements (sink, Russian stove, smokehouse) should have detailed drawings;
  • the design of the grill, braziers and skewers;
  • availability of a pallet for coal, protection from wind.

The project should take into account the presence of large trees nearby in order to prevent the burning of branches.

The necessary materials for building a permanent barbecue (barbecue) with their own hands:

  1. Clinker, which will match the color of the brick.
  2. Refractory bricks for masonry.
  3. Ruberoid.
  4. Edged board for creating table tops.
  5. Unedged boards for timbering.
  6. The metal pipe is not less than 15 cm in diameter.
  7. Concrete solution. If the oven is small in size, then for the construction of a barbecue will be enough about 20 cm of concrete.
  8. Grate for a barbecue.
  9. Metal sheet for facing the cutting table.

The number of other necessary materials will depend on which project you have chosen for the dacha.

The tool needed to build a permanent barbecue with their own hands:

  1. Mortar blade.
  2. Trowel.
  3. A hammer-pickaxe.
  4. Wood embroidery.
  5. Scouring.
  6. The plumb line.
  7. Rule.
  8. Foldable m.
  9. Bubble building level.
  10. Corner.
  11. Intermediate pendulums.
  12. Roulette.
  13. Metal poryadovki.

The erection of a permanent barbecue (barbecue) with their own hands according to the selected project

Despite the fact that you chose the project, the main stages of the construction of barbecue (barbecue) in all the same. Before the beginning of construction it is better to immediately design a niche in which coal will be stored, and a cupboard for kitchen utensils. Metal grating should be integral - so it will be more convenient to clean it, wash and remove it from iron supports.

Stage 1. Filling the foundation for a barbecue.

  1. With the help of pegs and ropes, marking is done.
  2. Excavated pit, corresponding to the form of the foundation (with an approximate margin of 5 cm in width) 30 cm deep. The form of the foundation can be different (depending on the project you choose): square, round, oval, rectangular, hexagonal, etc.
  3. The slag poured into the bottom and is carefully compacted.
  4. Formwork is made - shields are knocked out of boards (about 30 cm wide and equal in length to the basement) and installed along the perimeter.
  5. Inside the formwork is laid metal. You can use unnecessary old pieces of iron.
  6. A concrete solution is prepared and poured into the formwork. The foundation must be hardened. This takes about three days.

Pouring the foundation, you need to remember:

  • the pit must have the same depth throughout its area;
  • reinforcing material for the foundation should not exceed a given level;
  • the cushion of slag should be carefully tamped.

Stage 2. Masonry of walls of a barbecue (mangal) from a brick by own hands.

  1. Above the coupler ruberoid is added to protect the walls of the barbecue from leaks.
  2. The shape of the openings is determined. For a rectangular design, a construction corner is suitable, and a template of a given shape is made for the arch.
  3. The walls of the masonry are made in half a brick with the use of a conventional mortar, while the openings of 50 mm are left. By the same method, 5 rows are laid out. On top of them is put a metal sheet, which will serve as a pallet for coal. Then another 2 rows of bricks are laid out and a barbecue grill is installed on them. Installed protection from the wind and put a few more rows.
  4. Further laid arches and openings of brick according to the project.
  5. Lay the walls to the required height. The average optimal height is 10 bricks from the ground level. During the laying of the walls between the 6th and 7th row, metal rods are laid in all the walls so that they leave the walls 7-10 cm. In the same way, the rods in the remaining rows are stacked up to 10. This is done in order to be able to move grating to the desired height.

When laying walls of brick with their own hands it is important to remember:

  • so that the brick structure looks aesthetically pleasing, all seams should be of the same thickness;
  • the height of the openings of brick laying should be chosen so that up to the level of the barbeque table there are about 3 rows;
  • when erecting arched openings it is necessary to leave a brick in the aperture in the center;
  • the furnace should not be too high - this reduces the thrust;
  • curbs installed inside the furnace, complicate the cleaning;
  • if the project involves washing, you need to make a small hole at the bottom and install a pipe through which you can connect the hoses to drain the water;
  • use for masonry can only fireproof material, other types of bricks will crack.

Stage 3. Placement of equipment for barbecue (mangal) with their own hands.

When starting to place dishes and equipment, think carefully about everything - the appearance should be aesthetic, and functionality should not suffer. The grill bar needs to be protected from wind, but it should not be isolated from fresh air. After every application, the barbecue is thoroughly washed.

Stage 4. Arrangement of barbecue (barbecue) with their own hands.

After the completion of construction work, it is necessary to equip the working surface and places of food intake. It is also necessary to process all the seams. To do this, it is necessary to hold the seams at the seams, until the solution is frozen, to give the barbecue aesthetic appearance. The finished oven is not used for several days after the construction is finished, so that the joints do not crack.

The project of barbecue (barbecue) from freely lying bricks

With a project of a permanent barbecue (barbecue) you have read. But what if you are not ready at this time to spend the energy and time to create it, and enjoy delicious dishes in the nature you want. An excellent solution is to create a temporary type of barbecue from loosely laid bricks. For the construction will not need a special tool, no clay or cement mortar. Temporary barbecue will be very comfortable, and when there is no place to build a permanent. It can be easily dismantled, folded and stored in a special place. This design is the cheapest and easy to build. Through laid without the use of mortar bricks, oxygen is easily supplied, which contributes to the complete and better combustion of charcoal and makes the design quite effective.

Stationary barbecue is easy and simple to do by yourself. For this purpose, a brick construction is constructed in the form of a letter P with a height of 1 m. Two lattices are installed between two parallel walls. The lower grate is designed for coal, and the upper grate is for food. The distance between them should be about 20 cm. The scheme of more complex construction has a cone-shaped superstructure and a pipe for drawing.

This concludes the construction. Using these projects, you can easily build a barbecue for your dacha and you can enjoy not only the dishes cooked on it, but also a cozy place created by yourself.

Fans of delicious dishes from meat and fish fried over open fire or embers, certainly would like to build in their yard or in the gazebo a building such as a barbecue. The most reliable and convenient to use are brick versions of this stove equipment. There are many projects for barbecue and barbecue. The choice of a particular depends primarily on the purpose for which the structure is intended.

What is a barbecue grill?

The kinds of oven equipment intended for frying food on fire, in fact, there is a huge amount. According to the principle of work barbecue barbecue is practically no different. And there and there cooking takes place on coals, in both cases there is a chimney, etc. Just now barbecue or barbecue-barbecue is usually called whole furnace complexes. They, among other things, can include plates, cauldrons, countertops, fireplaces, grills, sinks, chopping tables, etc. Mangal is usually a stand-alone structure with only a chimney. The only thing that is added to such stove equipment is the wood dowel.

Also, designers often call the construction of a barbecue in the event that the chimney is partly blocked. With this design, the food will not only be roasted, but also slightly roasted. At the barbecue, the smoke stroke is completely open.

Variety of projects

There are actually many kinds of furnace equipment of this type. The most popular among the owners of suburban areas are the following mangal-barbecue projects:

  • With two worktops on both sides. In one of them is usually built in a sink.
  • With an oven for cooking ordinary food.
  • With kazan - a construction for cooking pilaf.
  • With a grill.

Often the complex includes all listed elements. Well, of course, any barbecue grill is complemented by a wood dowel. Complexes can have the usual linear or L-shaped form. Most often they are installed in arbors. In any case, a canopy over them is arranged necessarily.

Construction of the structure

A BBQ barbecue is prepared using the order. To date, there is simply a huge number of such schemes. Below for an example we present the most popular of them.

Of course, the brazier is built on a solid foundation. At installation it is necessary to observe rules of fire-prevention safety. The floor in front of the barbecue should be covered with heat-resistant material. The building itself should be erected so that its walls are protected from the enclosing structures of the gazebo (if it is wooden) by at least 20 cm. The chimney that passes through the roof wraps The foundations of the gazebo and barbecue are not connected.

How to write a project yourself

Next, consider how to build a prototype with their own hands (with a grill, a grill, two table tops, a wood duster and a sink). When drafting such a structure, you first need to determine where it will be located. Choose the location should be so that the smoke from the pipe in the subsequent did not get into the windows of a residential house (your or neighbor's).

In the event that the brazier will be located in the gazebo, in the first place is erected it. This method is considered more convenient. Build a BBQ in a ready-made gazebo will be more difficult. The foundations of these structures are usually flooded simultaneously. When drafting a project, you first need to determine the size of the oven equipment. Most often in suburban areas a barbecue is built with a height of 1.7-1.8 m. The length of the complexes, taking into account the countertops, can be any. The width of the brazier is usually 45-50 cm, the height of the pedestal is 70-90 cm, the grill is 50-70 cm.

Substructure under construction

As a brick barbecue-barbecue - the building is quite heavy, the foundation under it is solid, tiled. Fill it in the following way:

After the mortar grabs and collects strength, the surface of the finished foundation is waterproofed with two layers of roofing material.

Masonry of a structure

Next, let's look at the actual construction of a barbecue grill. At the first stage, over the waterproofing of the foundation, a playground made of bricks is laid out solidly. In the future, it will serve as the bottom of the dowel.

Further the masonry is carried out according to the chosen order. For a wood dumpler, a smokehouse, a countertop and a chimney, you can use ordinary bricks. It is better to lay a firewall out of fireclay material with the use of clay mortar.

Supports under the countertops go up simultaneously with the wood duster, making up a single design with it. The bottom of the furnace is laid out at the same stage, you can also lay out one of the table tops in the same way. Instead of corners and bricks it is allowed to use a concrete slab. That countertop, which will be installed in the sink, it is better to then simply cover with a metal sheet with a hole cut out under the sink.

The front edge of the "trough" under the coals is usually raised on two rows of bricks. The walls of a fireplace such as a barbecue grill are raised to a height of approximately 70 cm (13 rows of bricks). Sometimes in them over the "trough" metal hooks are mounted. In the future, they are attached to a removable skewer for grilling. The first row of the front wall of the chimney is also laid out on a corner or reinforced concrete beam. Then the masonry gradually narrows. From above the chimney is best covered with a metal "umbrella" or simply a visor. At the final stage, a sink is installed in the steel plate of the second table-top.

How to make clay

The barbecue can be built, as already mentioned, and on cement mortar. However, the bottom and walls of the furnace are usually collected on the basis of a clay mixture. It is prepared as follows:

In the resulting solution you need to add a little (1 kg) for stoves and fireplaces (you can take the "Prefix").

What you need to know about

The method described above makes it possible to prepare a very good solution, which is perfectly suitable for the construction of such a structure as a barbecue grill, with your own hands. However, the proportions indicated above are approximate. The fact is that clay in different localities can have different fat content. The resulting solution should be tested. To do this, a small amount of it is typed on a trowel and the last one is turned over. The solution should not fall down. Then the trowel is turned vertically. At the same time, the solution should slowly slip. If the mixture falls during a coup, then it lacks clay. If it does not drain off the trowel, put it in vertically, you need to add a little sand to it.

As you can see, it is quite possible to build a brick BBQ-barbecue (photos of the most popular projects are presented in the article) at the dacha with their own hands. The main thing is to think it over carefully when drafting a project and to pick up a suitable order. Use the collected brazier can start no earlier than two weeks after the erection. Otherwise, the heating of the furnace can crack.

The correct laying of the brick oven is not only an architectural balance that preserves the durability of the structure, but also a guarantee of functional and operational safety. The order of a barbecue is necessary even for an experienced master. Knowledge of each brick row with a given number of elements and exact location gives an invaluable effect in the speed of the work done with your own hands and a qualitative result.

The term "ordering" characterizes at once two building concepts used in one architectural area - masonry of a brick. It is this division that sometimes leads to a dead end of a beginner stove. It is important to keep ready for both definitions, which by their name provide not only control of the masonry in rows, but also the order of execution of the masonry.

Control device

The genuinely professional word "ordering" describes the elementary device necessary to control the height and horizontality of each row of bricks.

The device consists of two vertical racks with a height of 1.5-2 m, fixed on opposite sides of one wall to the lower rows by two staples each. The latter are used for the secure connection of the rail without bolts, so as not to "injure" the fresh brickwork.

The minimum number of storeys that allows you to set the order is 2. Since the brickwork is done in a staggered manner, one bracket is linked to the brick of the first row on one side of the masonry, and the second to the element above, but already on the adjacent side, so it is similar for both racks. Cross-section of the rack-poryadovki not specified: the thickness should be such that to withstand the tension between the two parts of the installation. As a rule, 50 × 50 bars are chosen.

The control is carried out by means of putting inscriptions on the order every 77 mm in height. These intervals require the greatest possible accuracy, since it is from them that the construction balance of the masonry depends. If on one rail at least one of the intervals is 1 or 2 mm different from the opposite side, the horizontality will be violated. The distance of 77 mm is made up of the height of the brick and the thickness of the joint: 65 + 12 mm.

From the notch to the notch a cord is pulled, called the mooring. It allows you to track the accuracy of laying each brick in a row. If the first tiers were stacked with a level, the pier serves them in the following stages. A tightening bolt is provided at the fastening point of the bracket on the order or next. It is enough to screw it on one side, and the pier can be spread out between the bars. Stretching the cord is extremely important so that there is no sagging in the middle of the masonry and the horizontality is most accurately monitored.

Sometimes the order is set on three or even four walls of bricks. This helps to track the symmetry of dimensions and angles, as well as to keep the horizontal position of the masonry immediately on all its sides.

The control device can be made by hand. The device consists of simple elements that literally lie underfoot during the construction period.

The value of the schematic structure

The second meaning of the word "order" appeared due to folk vernacular. The control over the rows is no longer done by height and horizontality, but by number and location. The order of a barbecue is a scheme, by which the brick mangal turns by turns with its own hands.

Drawings help both the novice cooker and the experienced professional equally. If the new scheme helps to understand the design of the furnace and will be a useful instruction for the work with their own hands, then the master order is useful in the rapid implementation of similar projects. Once drawn up drawings will serve as a schoolboy multiplication table - all the control for "5", or from time to time a capital barbecue with a cauldron or Russian stove.

Balanced base

The basis for a balanced masonry is the right foundation. - Heavy construction, if we consider the load per unit area. In this regard, it requires a monolithic foundation. Sand cushion, crushed stone, reinforcing cage, quality cement mortar - all this will make the foundation durable and durable, but it is equally important to take into account its balance:

Erection of the oven by order

Before laying firebrick with your own hands, you need to carefully consider the structure of the barbecue. The better the turn-based scheme is presented, the less the probability of errors. Poryadovka also helps to calculate the amount of building materials in advance, make an estimate and purchase the necessary volume on time. This is an effective approach that eliminates delays in work due to lack of elements.

Having prepared for the work with their own hands, it is possible to start the construction process in a coherent and thought-out way according to the scheme:

For craftsmen we have already developed ready-made barbecue projects from brick with order, detailed schemes, text explanations and specification. Thanks to such a detailed project, step by step you will come closer to the dream of owning your own oven complex on the plot.

Photos of barbecue, built according to our projects

For whom is our proposal?

First of all, for those who have general skills and want to apply their talents, having folded the garden oven on their own, having surprised relatives and friends at the same time.

Secondly for those who will build a barbecue on their own to save money. It's no secret that the price of a barbecue is about 100 rubles. for the brick. Given that the furnace complex can contain up to 1000 bricks, this is a huge cost savings.

In both of these cases, our barbecue oven schemes are ideal, thanks to their completeness and detail. They are not limited to the standard order  , the complex moments are shown in three-dimensional form and are provided with comments, and the cuts and projections completely eliminate not clear moments.

Also, you can purchase this project, simply if you liked the look of our barbecue, and for work invite a stove-maker. You will only have to control his work.

Why our projects?

The laying of any stove is not a simple, but very exciting exercise. An experienced master has his own experience and is able to build an oven without drawings. For the beginner, the masonry scheme of a barbecue is simply necessary! You need to know how to arrange bricks in each row, where they need to be cut, where to use fireclay bricks. Any of our barbecue project (stove-barbecue) fully answers all questions. In order to make it easier to measure our strength, we have provided each project with a mark with a level of complexity. For "easy" and "medium" you can take any home master, and for a project with a "difficult" mark it is better to take if you have the skill of building work with a brick and power tools.

Let's formulate the advantages of our projects:

  • Big choice
      Even the most demanding person, will find the project necessary to him on a functional. We have complexes with a working table, a sink, an oven - a stove for a cauldron, a smokehouse, a mini-Russian stove, a barbecue. There is a street oven in the corner version.
  • Detailed description
      After purchase, you will receive a complete set of detailed documents ranging from 20 to 40 pages in A4 format.
  • Attractive design
    We tried to use modern materials, for example, brick with rounded edges. When designing, we tried to take into account that the complexes were not bulky and not very simple. In our opinion, we found the golden mean. Street stoves turned out stylish and original. They necessarily organically supplement your yard and become its dominant.
  • Developed by a professional
      All projects were developed by a professional stove man. Moreover, all barbecues have already been implemented, which guarantees the operation of our schemes and drawings, in contrast to those that are freely available on the Internet.
  • We provide consultations
      By purchasing our project, you can always get a consultation from the master. Also on our site we offer articles and video fragments that will help in the construction.

Prices for projects

The huge advantage of ready projects before individual - their price, which is several times lower. In addition, our price list includes all price categories. This is the simplest solution - a brickwork scheme of the barbecue grill, which costs less than 2 thousand rubles. Projects of the average price category cost about 3-4 thousand rubles, as well as the project of the premium segment - a chic furnace complex with a mini-Russian stove "Chocolate Castle" for 9 thousand rubles.

Buy any project you like and an unforgettable month spent in pleasant building concerns is guaranteed to you!

What tools will you need to work?

For the independent construction of a small outdoor furnace complex you will need the following tools.

To mark up the project, specify the location - a tape measure, if there is a link to the place of the cutout of the roof opening, you need a plumb line. The foundation should be in plan by 100 mm more from each edge. Recommendations for the size, depth and composition of the foundation are in the section own hands  . We measure the size of the foundation, now our tool is a shovel, and it is better not to be alone. Mix cement mortar can be a concrete mixer, mixer or shovel. The latter method is the most primitive, and the name speaks for itself. The foundation is ready? Now the most interesting.

The main tools in the process of stove laying are a trowel for working with clay mortar, a small level for determining the exact position of the brick and leveling it along the axes, and a rubber hammer to gently correct the masonry.

Already when you scroll through the received project, you begin to understand that in addition to the masonry there is yet another important type of work: brick cutting. Besides, it is not only halves, treshki and quarters. It cuts at an angle, especially there are many of them in corner furnaces and any fireplaces, all kinds of slits and inserts. The composition of the orders includes three-dimensional images of the places where the brick is cut, which greatly facilitates the spatial representation of the part. To cut a brick, a stone-cutting machine is used, and if it does not, a Bulgarian. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages. Stankom faster and more accurate, sometimes safer, but he needs a place around wet and dirty, at night to be cleaned. The Bulgarian is more mobile, but with shortcomings of a hand-held power tool.

If this is your first stove, you need to carefully study the articles proposed in the section "with your own hands." There, for example, there is a working video fragment for mixing clay mortar. Previously, no one in my head could have come that clay can be bought! The clay was dug out, soaked, crushed, combined with sand in the proper proportion, depending on the fat content of the clay - a solution was obtained. Now the clay is cooked at the factory. With a ready solution it is more convenient to work, it needs only to be connected with water. The ready solution of the desired consistency should not be liquid, but rather dense, but when it is dropped from the trowel, the tool must remain on the tool if the trowel is clean, then the mortar is thick and then will crack.

Beginning masters should not immediately take up a project in which there is a lot of cutting - this will greatly complicate the training, and unnecessarily tire.

Another point, not described so far in the articles, but present in almost all projects: the erection of the arch or arch. This is a laborious work, you need to prepare for it. Arch pre-arranged on the floor, observing the radius and other dimensions, observe how the bricks and stitches will be located mutually, where and what will be cuts. Then create a template, for example, from 2 rows of plywood. The arch is laid out neatly, and, most importantly, do not touch the template until the clay dries completely. It is good for arches and arches to use a wedge fireclay brick.

Additional constructions

Often asked: why do a metal hood cover? Is not it easier to prune bricks or put them at an angle? Firstly, it is not easier, but much more complicated. Secondly, it has long been noted that a smooth sheet of metal, as it attracts smoke, and it obediently follows the given direction. This is very valuable in places of sharp narrowing to the size of the chimney. The hood must have a height of at least 7 rows.

So, we have considered in detail how to build a barbecue made of bricks for our project and we hope that now nothing will prevent you from making a dream come true. Good luck!

Today, barbecues differ mainly in the following parameters: material, dimensions, installation method (stationary and portable).

Lattices and grills should not be fixed tightly to the oven, because they should be easy to disassemble at a time when they are not used.

When the owners of country houses choose a place for the future hearth, one must always remember the danger that fire can carry. Therefore, the site is recommended to search for a long distance from the house and outbuildings made of wood. However, with this barbecue should be conveniently connected to the kitchen. It can be a path, alleyka, a passage. From there, kitchen utensils, utensils and other items will be delivered.

The right arrangement of barbecue grill

It is not recommended as a future place for a barbecue to choose a site on which trees grow and branches hang down - a strong glow that will go from the stove, is capable of harming them even if the structure is small and with all the necessary protection measures.

Based on the planned size of the barbecue, choosing a place under the barbecue should be reserved, given the fire safety measures.

If the device is planned to be installed on the lawn, you need to be prepared for the fact that a large number of guests and neighbors who will walk near the hearth, with the idea that the food is almost ready, will simply tread out the lawn around the barbecue. Therefore, the site for guests is best paved with brick or tile, covered with gravel.

The size of the area can be calculated based on how many guests will arrive on a regular basis. This is necessary to ensure that everyone is completely comfortable. Before proceeding to the construction of a garden barbecue, you will need to draw up a plan of location and draw a construction scheme, indicating all dimensions.

Elements that you need to make a brazier yourself:

  • brick;
  • concrete;
  • solution of sand and clay;
  • master OK;
  • building level.

How does a barbecue look like?

A simple barbecue can be made independently from the remains of bricks and fittings.

The most ordinary and simple version of barbecue is a box in which the upper part is open. He puts his hands out of brick, stone, concrete blocks. When laying, it is necessary to remember the height of the structure, and also that it must be stable and stand well on the ground.

Particular attention should be paid to the height at which it is planned to arrange a metal grate for cooking food. Most often the grate is located at an altitude of 9-10 rows of brick masonry. In the event that the grid is mounted too low, it will not be able to bend over to it.

Pallets for storage of coals and grilles should be placed on specially designed bricks or fixed on metal rods, which are installed in the seams between rows of bricks, located nearby. Lattices and grills should not be fixed tightly to the oven, because they should be easy to disassemble at a time when they are not used. In the damp season, parts made of metal should be taken to the house to prevent the formation of rust.

The hood is made of refractory bricks with a metal cap at the top.

Stationary barbecue of large dimensions must necessarily have a good foundation - a concrete strip foundation or cushions of reinforced concrete. Garden stove is sometimes attached to one of the walls of stone or brick construction in order to protect the focus from the wind (in this case, you should especially monitor the compliance with fire safety).

Parts of the construction that come into contact with fire are best laid out from a special refractory brick.

A large number of craftsmen prefer to finish building their own hood over the hearth. The most common option is a metal umbrella. However, the pipe can be made of refractory bricks with a metal cap at the top (it will be possible to dissect sparks and protect the fire and the furnace from precipitation).

Fuel for barbecue will be wood lumpy coal or coal briquettes, which are hotter than hot. In the event that the pallet is laid out with aluminum foil, it will be well cleaned and reflect heat. On sale there is also a special coal, which flares up very well.

It is best to lay coal on a pallet not in piles, but in layers, while igniting at once in several places. You can start cooking in 45 minutes.

Finished similar constructions

Barbecues on gas simplify the cooking process, but do not get the same flavor that a barbecue on charcoal.

There are designs that operate on liquefied gas. You can find ready-made models that are heated with the help of butane or propane from cylinders (usually these models are small in size and look like elegant carts or simple braziers).

Gas can be connected by pressing a button, and after 10-15 minutes you can start cooking. Occasionally, there may be models that are connected not to the balloon but to the main gas.

Electric barbecue has a rather complex design. Such furnaces are equipped with a timer, a mechanical spit, a grill and a temperature control device. On an electrical device, you can also start cooking 10-15 minutes after starting.

Barbecue arrangement by own hands

The stationary device is installed on a concrete concrete foundation. Brick walls, which have a thickness of half a brick, are laid out in the shape of the letter U.

For the construction of the walls, marking cords should be used. Ropes are stretched so that they indicate the position of the future wall of the structure, which is made by hand.

Near the hearth, you can try to implement a working surface for a barbecue, it can be laid out of ordinary bricks, rather than refractory.

Masterkom should apply a layer of mortar on the prepared strip foundation of concrete.

The second row should start with a half brick. The next rows must be shifted to half a brick.

The sixth row should be laid with a poke (crosswise). These bricks should protrude from both sides of the wall. On this ledge will rely on a pallet for coal or a grill for roasting. Further, after the projection, 3 rows are again laid in half of the brick.

The second protuberance from the bumper bricks is constructed from the 10th row of masonry (for grill grilles). Three more rows are arranged on top. Consequently, the walls of a small barbecue without a pipe will be laid out of 12 and 13 rows of bricks.

There is an opportunity not to make protrusions of bricks. Then as a support for the pallet and grate should be used metal pins. Therefore, in the seams between the 6th and 7th row, it will be necessary to lay steel rods having a long length. They should be 75 mm out of all three walls.

It is possible to install the rods in more than one place. This way you can get a set of different heights, on which you can install a grill for roasting. The structure can be completed on a 10 row of bricks.

Near the hearth, you can try to implement a working surface for a barbecue. To do this, on a separate ribbon foundation of concrete should build a wall of 6 rows of bricks parallel to any of the walls of the barbecue. The last row is pushed with a poke.

The plywood board will be supported by this row and the protrusion in the wall on the other side. The board of the table top can be covered with paving or ceramic tiles on top.

After the completion of the masonry, it should be expanded, after which the solution should be allowed to dry (about 3 days). After this, it will be possible to build a fire (in case it is done immediately, there is the possibility that the structure will crack).

Mobile BBQ device

It is possible to construct a structure from freely laid bricks, without the use of a mortar. Such a center will be able to split for the winter or move to another place. This type of construction is much easier and cheaper to erect.

The walls, which are stacked by the honeycomb method, are capable of ensuring the combustion of coal and good air access to the fire. Such a construction can be round, square or triangular in shape.

The sequence of ordering such a device is as follows. The first row of bricks should be laid on a pre-selected form on the foundation that was prepared. However, you need to do this in such a way that there are gaps between the bricks of 50 mm.

The second row is stacked on top with a shift of half a brick. The remaining rows are stacked with the same shift - up to row 5. On the 5th row is placed a steel sheet from above for charcoal. Further, 2 more rows are added, and the grate is placed on top.
