Potatoes are one of the most popular foods in the world, and they have particular recognition in Eastern Europe. And this is quite justified, because its tubers are extremely tasty, inexpensive, and there are about a thousand ways to prepare them. Various mashed potatoes, potato pancakes and even dough are prepared from potatoes, fried, boiled and baked. In most cases, potato dishes take quite a long time to prepare, but, fortunately, modern household appliances can significantly speed up this process.

We are talking about a microwave oven. With its help, you can cook your favorite baked potatoes several times faster.

Surely you have ever used a sleeve or baking bags and ready-made mixtures of seasonings and spices that come with them. So, potatoes in the microwave in a plastic bag are prepared according to a similar principle - the baked product (in our case, potatoes) is put into a bag, spices are poured into it, after which the filled bag is sent for baking. Everything is simple, and with a microwave it’s also as fast as possible. You will have a complete potato lunch ready in just 10-15 minutes. And most importantly, anyone who has a microwave can use this method of cooking potatoes, even if it is already “old” and not as functional as modern models! In general, microwaved potatoes in a plastic bag are the ideal way to feed the whole family heartily and tasty in 15 minutes. Be sure to try!

How to cook baked potatoes in the microwave in a plastic bag

The process is actually very simple. Wash the potatoes thoroughly, cut off the peel with a thin strip, cut out all the wormholes. We rinse the tubers one more time and cut them into pieces of the desired size - larger or smaller, as you prefer. The main thing to remember is that the finer the potatoes are cut, the faster they will be ready.

Now take a plastic bag and put all the potatoes in it.

Salt and selected seasonings/spices are also poured into the bag. You can use any seasonings; it’s a matter of personal culinary preference. This option uses: a mixture of potato spices, dried parsley and a mixture of coarse peppers.

Shake it and pierce the bag with a knife in several places; 3-4 “pricks” will be quite enough. Now the potatoes are ready to go in the microwave. In principle, you can place the filled bag directly on a glass microwave tray; nothing will be done to the bag. But it will be easier and faster to remove the finished potatoes if you place the bag in a heat-resistant form or at least on a regular plate.

Close the microwave, turn it on at maximum power and set the oven operating time to 10-15 minutes. – depending on the power of your micro and the size of the potato slices. It is better not to set the timer for a longer time, since the potatoes may turn out to be dry and “shrink”.

After the signal, carefully remove the finished potatoes and carefully cut the bag. You can pierce a couple of potato pieces to make sure everything is cooked through.

Ready! Place the potatoes on plates and serve. If desired, when serving, you can flavor the potatoes with butter or vegetable oil. Bon appetit!

Potatoes in the microwave in their jackets

Jacket potatoes are a very flavorful dish. In addition, it is much healthier, because the peel contains vitamins and microelements that are not destroyed even during heat treatment. Using a microwave oven and a regular plastic bag, you can prepare this healthy dish in just 5-8 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • potato;
  • spices to taste;
  • tight package.

Preparation:

  1. Wash the tubers thoroughly. You can use a brush to thoroughly clean the peel of all dirt. Dry the potatoes with a towel.
  2. Prick each tuber with a toothpick or fork.
  3. Place the potatoes in a bag and add spices to taste.
  4. Seal the bag and shake several times to mix the tubers with spices. Then place it in the oven and bake for 5-8 minutes at 600 W. The exact cooking time depends on the size of the tubers and their quantity. When the bag is very swollen, the potatoes are ready.

Tip: When baking potatoes in the microwave in a bag, you need to take precautions, as the hot steam formed in the bag can cause burns.

Potatoes with lard in the microwave

You can bake potatoes in the microwave in a bag not only separately, but also together with lard. Such potatoes can easily qualify as a full-fledged lunch or dinner, as well as be a flavorful side dish for meat and mushroom dishes. The recipe can help out in case of unexpected guests, because it requires affordable products that are always available in almost every home. In addition, it will take no more than 15 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients:

  • potatoes – 0.5 kg;
  • sunflower oil – 2 tbsp;
  • lard – 80-100 g;
  • garlic – 1-2 cloves (optional);
  • onion – 1 small onion (optional);

In addition to the indicated ingredients, in this recipe you can use fresh or dried herbs, a little bell pepper (you can’t put a lot, as it will give excess moisture, which will cause the potatoes to be boiled and not baked), chopped smoked meats, slices of champignons and everything that fantasy will tell you. When choosing additional ingredients, it is important to consider only their cooking time - it should be approximately the same as for potatoes.

Preparation:

  1. Peel the potatoes, wash them thoroughly and cut into slices.
  2. Cut the lard into thin slices.
  3. Peel the onion and cut into thin half rings.
  4. Peel the garlic, grate it finely or chop it using a garlic press.
  5. Place all ingredients in a thick plastic bag or baking bag, add salt, vegetable oil and spices.
  6. Tie the bag tightly and shake it several times to mix the ingredients.
  7. Place the tied bag in the microwave and bake for 7-8 minutes at maximum power.

Tip: for baking with potatoes, choose good fresh lard that does not have an unpleasant odor. Otherwise, all the potatoes will be hopelessly spoiled.

Adviсe

  • You can use a baking sleeve to bake potatoes in the microwave. Any plastic bag will also work. The main thing is that it is clean, undamaged and dense enough.
  • Bake potatoes in the microwave at high power - at least 600 W.
  • The potatoes will be ready when the bag is inflated to its maximum. To make sure it is ready, pierce the tuber with a toothpick or fork.
  • It is better to choose potatoes of the same size and variety, then they will cook at the same time.
  • When opening a bag of baked potatoes, you need to be extremely careful - very hot steam will come out of it, which can cause serious burns.

Potatoes in the microwave in a plastic bag are cooked very simply and quickly - several times faster than, for example, in the oven. There are many variations of this dish. You can bake unpeeled tubers - “in their uniforms”, you can peel potatoes and bake them whole or cut them, add all sorts of ingredients from onions to lard or mushrooms.

- this is the second bread, and as everyone probably knows from their own experience, not a single dinner is complete without potatoes. Potatoes can be fried, boiled, stewed, you can cook a lot of different dishes from them, but for me the most delicious potatoes are when they are baked in a bag. To be more precise, I love potatoes baked in a fire most of all, but since I can’t afford to light a fire in my apartment, today I have fragrant potatoes up my sleeve, baked in the oven!

Potatoes in the sleeve

I cook these potatoes very often because they are tasty, quick and very economical. In addition, baked potatoes will be an excellent side dish for many dishes, as well as decorate the table with your own look. My son loves potatoes very much and today I prepared this dish for him with aromatic herbs, sea salt and garlic.

This recipe will make very tasty young baked potatoes, but it’s still too early, so we’ll be preparing last year’s potatoes.

In order to cook baked in a bag or baking sleeve, you will need to prepare the following ingredients:

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes – 10 – 15 pieces,
  • Vegetable oil - 4 tbsp. spoons,
  • Garlic – 3 cloves,
  • Sea salt - to taste,
  • Ground paprika – 1 teaspoon,
  • A mixture of aromatic herbs (I used tobacco seasoning for chicken, it contains many different herbs) - 1 tbsp. spoon.

Cooking process:

First you need to select small potato tubers, wash them and then peel them. Cut the potatoes into large slices and wash again. It needs to dry a little, I just put it in a colander and wait until all the water has drained.

Then in a small cup mix vegetable oil, sea salt, garlic squeezed through a garlic press, ground paprika and aromatic herbs (to taste), you can add dried dill or basil to the composition. Mix everything thoroughly and pour the resulting mixture over the prepared potatoes. Leave the potatoes in the oil mixture for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, transfer the potatoes into a sleeve or baking bag and carefully secure with fasteners. Next, you need to make several small holes in the bag so that excess steam can escape from it, thereby allowing the potatoes to become golden brown when baked.

Place the bag of potatoes on a baking sheet and place in an oven preheated to 180° degrees. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes.

Place the finished potatoes on a dish and serve as a separate dish or as a side dish.

I consider the recipe for baked potatoes in the sleeve to be lean, this is an excellent option for all fasting people, by the way, the amount of oil can be reduced or eliminated altogether, or simply add a little water to the bag.

I think that everyone can make their own adjustments to this dish in accordance with their taste, for example, replacing butter with sour cream or heavy country cream, and it will be very tasty with pieces of bacon!

I would also like to say that these potatoes are an excellent alternative to deep-fried potatoes, which our children are so accustomed to. But potatoes fried in oil have little benefit, although they are very tasty. I think that your family will appreciate my son and I’s version of preparing crispy, aromatic potatoes. And in the spring, prepare a dish of young potatoes from which you don’t even need to remove the peel, just wash it thoroughly with a sponge.

Tubers can be cut by making frequent transverse cuts without cutting all the way through. You can also cut young potatoes in their skins into small slices, as they are served deep-fried in a bistro.

Thanks to Slavyana for the recipe and photo.

Potatoes in a sleeve for baking in the oven are the most delicious option for preparing a vegetable. The slices come out with a crispy crust, but remain soft inside. The spices that are added to the dish nourish the potatoes and make them aromatic and even more appetizing.

Potatoes in a bag for baking in the oven - general cooking principles

The best potatoes for preparing this dish are yellow potatoes with a medium starch content. Select medium-sized tubers that have not turned green in the light and have no signs of spoilage.

Potatoes are washed under running water. They must be rubbed with a vegetable brush. After this, the potatoes, if desired, are peeled and baked without skins or cooked with skins. The recipe is the same. How to cook potatoes is decided by the cook himself - both options are delicious. Potatoes are cut into slices or quarters. Small young potatoes can be baked whole.

If the tubers are very hard, they must first be boiled for 10 minutes. This will make them softer and they won't take longer to bake than others. You just need to let the water drain from the cooked potatoes before putting them in the sleeve. The crispy crust on it will be no worse than on a raw baked one.

Bake potatoes in a sleeve with spices. Onions, carrots and butter are added to the dish if desired. Replace the butter with lard or bacon according to your taste. Spicy dried herbs - dill, basil and marjoram - are added to a small amount of olive oil and greased with potato slices. The prepared one is placed in a baking sleeve and placed on a baking sheet with baking parchment, rubbed with vegetable oil.

Place the cooked potatoes on a dish and sprinkle with finely chopped garlic and grated cheese on top. Garlic can also be crushed in a special crusher.

Potatoes baked in a sleeve are served as an independent dish or side dish.

Recipe Description

Potatoes baked in a sleeve in the oven are easy to prepare and do not take long. Washed potatoes are cut into slices. This is done with a knife or using a suitable machine for cutting vegetables. Potato slices are washed in running water and placed in a colander. I leave them on it until the water drains. In a separate bowl, prepare a spicy mixture for greasing the potatoes: add salt, spices and chopped garlic to olive oil.

Spices in oil are placed in a bowl with potato slices and mixed, so all the pieces will be fragrant. After this, they are left to stand for 15 minutes to soak in the spices. Then the potatoes are placed in a bag or baking bag. In both, you need to make 3-4 holes with a knife so that the steam comes out and the potatoes brown. Otherwise, it will turn out similar to boiled one, to which spices have simply been added. the dish will dry perfectly.

Before putting the baking bag in the oven, heat it to 180 degrees.

If you need to reduce calories, replace the oil with a small amount of water. Ready-made potato seasonings sold in stores are not the best option. They contain a high amount of salt and often contain artificial flavor enhancers that are harmful to health.

When cooking, butter can be replaced with sour cream or heavy cream. The potatoes will become especially tender and tasty. The golden crust will remain the same.

When using a baking sleeve, cut it off so that 7 cm is left empty on each side. This will improve air circulation and the crust will be baked very crispy. To make it dense enough, you need to open the bag 10 minutes before the end of cooking.

The bag or sleeve must be clamped securely so that the juice does not leak out, otherwise the point of cooking potatoes in this way is completely lost.

Place the pieces tightly in the sleeve. This improves their saturation with the aromas of herbs.

Potatoes with vegetables in a sleeve in the oven

With vegetables - an independent dish that turns out to be satisfying, not very high in calories and healthy. Bake it for 90 minutes. For it, in addition to potatoes, olive oil, salt and seasonings, you will need:

  • tomatoes,
  • carrot,
  • onion head,
  • garlic,
  • fresh greens,
  • lemon juice.

All vegetables are washed. Potatoes, carrots and onions are peeled. Potatoes and carrots are cut into cubes, and onions into half rings. Tomatoes, and the remaining skins are thrown away.

Next, all the vegetables are placed in a deep bowl. They add vegetable oil, ½ teaspoon of lemon juice, chopped garlic, seasonings (to taste). Mix everything and leave to stand for 15-20 minutes at room temperature. Then put it in a sleeve or baking bag and put it in the oven, which has been preheated to 180°. The dish will be cooked aromatic and soft if you do not increase the temperature in the oven.

While the potatoes are in the oven, several cloves of garlic are crushed and mixed with finely chopped fresh herbs. To get the sauce, add full-fat sour cream or vegetable oil to the greens with garlic.

Ready-made vegetables baked with potatoes are laid out from the sleeve and sprinkled with herbs and garlic or poured with sauce. Serve hot as a separate dish.

You can add pieces of bacon, diced chicken or turkey fillet, or lard to the vegetables. The dish will take a little longer to prepare than a purely vegetable dish. In this case, preparing potatoes and other vegetables for baking is the same.

Cooking time

How long to bake vegetables in the oven depends on the size of the pieces and the cooking method. If you choose the dish according to the first recipe, the potatoes will be ready within 25-35 minutes, depending on the size of the slices. Young tubers with skin take longer to prepare.

For potatoes with vegetables, baking time is at least an hour and a half. When adding meat, the cooking time can increase to 2 hours.

Ingredients

All ingredients used in recipes must be of high quality. Potatoes should be firm, without sprouts or green areas. When the tubers begin to turn green, a toxin appears in them and is not safe to eat. Potatoes that have shriveled or begun to deteriorate are also not suitable for cooking. Olive or flaxseed oil is preferable.

Oven-baked potatoes in a bag or sleeve are a healthy alternative to french fries. The dish will appeal equally to adults and children.

Potatoes baked in a bag are served hot as a separate dish or with pickles, tomatoes, meat, and fish. An economical, simple recipe that is accessible even to novice cooks. It will take a little over an hour to cook in the oven. Use only bags (sleeves) intended for baking; they can withstand temperatures up to 220-230°C and do not emit harmful substances.

Ingredients:

  • potatoes – 1 kg;
  • vegetable oil – 3 tablespoons;
  • parsley, dill - 1 bunch each;
  • salt - to taste.

Vegetable oil is replaced with sour cream, cream or even water.

Greetings friends!

Today’s post will be a little unusual again... Why unusual? Yes, because this is another page from my “Book of Life”.

Everyone who reads me already knows that there is a section on the blog where I write about my hobbies and different life situations - so today we are going there...

In this post, we will become chefs of sorts, moving from the blog to the kitchen and cooking...

Recently, on one service called “Postila” I came across one wonderful recipe, which I saved and is now in demand in my family very often...

P.S.. Posted. ..? I will tell you about this service in another!

And it all started with the fact that I cooked everything myself for the first time and in general everyone liked it... Yes, I have hidden talents in the kitchen, but I don’t particularly like cooking =)

In general, the recipe justified itself and one can say that it has earned trust and respect!

So, today I will tell you the recipe and teach you how to cook!

Are you tired of ordinary potatoes in all its forms and want some variety - then you have come to the right place and this recipe is for you!

Judging by the name, you can understand, or I’ll just say: today we’ll cook baked potatoes in the oven…

And not just in the oven, but in a bag with sauce, which we will learn to make as we go along with a simple set of ingredients...

After cooking, the potatoes will delight you with their unusual taste!

Let `s start?

Any recipe must contain the so-called “ingredients”, so we’ll start with them... So, for cooking baked potatoes in a bag for us need to:

  • 1 kg potatoes (medium)
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 3 tbsp. spoons of vegetable oil
  • greens (dill, parsley...)
  • seasoning for potatoes

When I was cooking, I took everything, as they say, by eye... There’s no need to run and weigh 1 kg of potatoes now =).

That's how much is enough for your family, do that... But who am I telling here - also me, I found a cook :)

Peel, rinse and place the potatoes, preferably in a large bowl. If the potatoes are large, cut them into two parts.

The recipe also said that it needs to be pierced with a toothpick in several places. I did it the first time, but then I realized it was unnecessary ( yes, I've made this recipe a couple of times =))!

Now let's prepare the sauce!

We peel the garlic and then pass it through the garlic press. Next we need greens: wash, dry and finely chop...

In my version of preparing the dish, I used finely chopped dry dill.

And the final preparation of the sauce: take a separate bowl and mix vegetable oil, garlic, herbs, potato seasoning, salt to taste ( I also did all this by eye).

As a result, pour the resulting sauce over the potatoes and mix everything thoroughly!

Then we take a baking bag ( the so-called “baking sleeve”), put the potatoes into it and pinch it or tie it.

How can I secure the edges of this bag?

Often bread is sold in bags that have plastic latches - these are what you can use ( mostly - it’s on loaves, but not a fact)!

When heated, the bag may burst; to prevent this from happening, we make several punctures in it with a needle. I did it with a knife, just be careful - the bags like to tear!

We place our package on a special baking sheet ( baking tray) and place in a preheated oven at 200 degrees.

We bake for about an hour... It’s just that the size of the potatoes is different - see for yourself!

You can check readiness like this: pierce the potatoes with a fork or knife - yes, right through the bag!

If everything is ready, turn off the oven and let our dish sit for a while - about 10 minutes.

Then we take out our baked potatoes in a bag and serve it to the table with whatever your heart desires!

In general, that’s all!

And I can say to you: “Bye!” And wish you bon appetit!

No, I'm not saying yet! Do you know why?

March 8th is coming soon, and so I decided to practice in order to come up with something more sophisticated, tasty and interesting on this day!

We must make women happy!

So, quite by accident (no, of course, I was looking...) I found a wonderful book on the Internet about various recipes.

It’s not for nothing that they say that the best cook is a man.

Do you know why?

Because in the process of preparing food, we try unrealistically to do everything well in order to be on top.

So, what’s there to say for so long?

It will be useful for both men and women - to eat deliciously :))

The book doesn’t cost much, but it will bring you so much joy that you will remember Hedgehog more than once with a kind word.
