Argus

Argus
From ancient Greek mythology. The head of the Olympian gods, Zeus, fell in love with the daughter of the Argive king Io. Hera, the wife of Zeus, jealous of him for Io, turned her into a cow and assigned her as a guard a monster named Argus, who had a hundred eyes, and the mane and tail were not made of hair, but of many snakes. It was an ideal watchman: he had only two eyes sleeping alternately, while the rest watched Io. But the crafty and enterprising messenger of the gods, Hermes (god of trade, patron of travelers) helped Zeus - he killed Argus and freed Io.
The myth of Argus was conveyed by the ancient authors Apollodorus (“Library”) and Ovid (“Metamorphoses”).
A common noun for a vigilant, all-seeing guardian. The name “Argus” was first used in this capacity by the ancient Greek playwright Aeschylus (525-456 BC).
Hence the expression “Argus's Eye” - supervision by a vigorous, vigilant, vigilant guard, from whom no one and nothing can hide.
Sometimes this is what is called, following an ancient legend, the pattern on the feathers of a peacock, the so-called “peacock eye”. According to legend, when Argus died at the hands of Hermes, the goddess Gaia, in order to preserve the memory of her faithful servant, transferred his eyes to the plumage of a peacock.

Main purpose

Automated system "Argus" is designed to automate the process of reviewing applications for import, export or transit of animals, products and raw materials of animal origin, the process of issuing permits or refusals, reducing the volume of documents transmitted in paper form and, as a result, reducing time and labor costs, as well as to obtain feedback information about actually imported goods and their volume.

Purposes of creation

  • Automation and, therefore, acceleration of the consideration of applications and the issuance of permits or refusals for the import, export and transit of goods under the control of state veterinary supervision through the territory of the Russian Federation.
  • Accounting for actually imported cargo into the territory of the Russian Federation: volume, type of product, manufacturing company, transport number, etc.
  • Reducing labor, material and financial costs for paperwork.
  • Minimize human errors when sending emails, faxes, etc.
  • Creation of a single centralized database for quick access to up-to-date information, for generating reports, searching and analyzing information.

Subsystems

Argus system consists of the following subsystems intended for use by various institutions:

  • Subsystem of the Veterinary Supervision Department (Argus.UVN)
  • Subsystem of the Main Directorate of Veterinary Medicine of the CIS country (Argus.GUV)
  • Subsystem of the Border Veterinary Control Point (Argus.PVKP)

In addition to the specified subsystems, the system "Argus" also interacts with other external systems to exchange information, for example, with the Irena system.

Gaining access

For veterinary service employees and Rosselkhoznadzor employees

System access "Argus" provided by submitting an electronic application using the system "Vetis.Passport" .

For business entities

If you are a business entity, then in order to obtain access details, you must contact the Veterinary Administration of the subject of the Russian Federation where you are registered, presenting the required documents.

The information that must be provided for registration is as follows:

  • For a legal entity:
    • Name;
    • TIN, OGRN, KPP;
    • full legal address;
    • full physical address;
  • For an individual:
    • full registration address;
    • full residential address;
    • passport details;
    • contact details of the responsible person - full name.

For owners of live animals

The owner of the animals (individual, citizen of the Russian Federation) can receive access details to the system "Argus" two ways.

  1. in the current order, i.e. by contacting the veterinary service of the subject of the Russian Federation where it is registered.
  2. in a new order. Starting from January 12, 2011, the owner of the animal can send to the address: 600901, Vladimir, microdistrict. Yuryevets, FSBI "ARRIAH" a telegram certified by the telecom operator indicating the following information about yourself:
  • Full Name;
  • passport number and series;
  • address of the place where the animal will be placed (where the import will be carried out, or from where the export will be carried out, you must indicate the region, locality, street, house/building/apartment);
  • personal email address to which access details for the Argus system should be sent.

The display format should be as follows: “I am Ivanov Ivan Ivanovich passport 1799087629 Vladimir region, Murom, Lenin St. 15-74 I am asking for the Argus key to [email protected]"

The series and number of the passport are displayed as shown - without spaces (first the series, then the number) and without displaying the # or No signs, the mail server in the address can, of course, be anything - not just mail.ru. In a telegram, the case of letters does not matter.

Our operators, within a reasonably short period of time from receiving the telegram, will send access details (password and login) for a specific Animal Owner and instructions for connection.

During your initial authorization in the system "Argus" you need to change the access password and enter additional data (there are not many of them, but they are necessary for your unique identification) required to work in the specified system.

Scheme of working with the Argus system

At the moment the system "Argus" is implemented only as a web application, that is, to work with it you need a computer connected to the Internet (Fig. 1). The work is carried out using any modern web browser (browser), for example Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, EDGE, etc. Thus, the user does not need to install anything at his workplace.

It is recommended to use the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browser. It also supports work in the EDGE browser, which is part of the Windows operating system. Work in other browsers (Opera, Safari, etc.) has not been fully tested. To enter the required subsystem, the user must type a specific address in the address bar of the browser and enter into the system his user name and password, issued to the employee when registering in the system.
Each user of the system "Argus" associated with his institution, so he can only enter the subsystem that is intended for use by his institution. For example, an employee of the veterinary department of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation cannot enter the territorial administration subsystem, and vice versa.

Rice. 1 Scheme of organizing the user’s work with the system

To eliminate the possibility of long interruptions in the work of users, as well as idle time of cargo at the border when there is no or extremely slow access to the Internet (when working with the web version of Argus will be impossible), a version of the system will also be developed for local operation on one computer. However, to synchronize information with central server "Argus" you will still need to periodically connect to the Internet (to update directories, send locally entered applications or permits to the central database, etc.).

Interaction of various subsystems with each other

As an example of the interaction of subsystems "Argus" Let's consider one of the main scenarios - the import of products into the territory of the Russian Federation. The interaction diagram of various subsystems is presented in Figure 2:

Rice. 2. Interaction of various subsystems

Explanations for the diagram:

An economic entity (EA) enters an application for the import of products into its subsystem. Before sending the application to the Veterinary Supervision Department (VS), it undergoes an automatic analysis to determine the presence of existing restrictions on the import of products.

The UVN receives an application from a business entity in electronic form with all the necessary documents, reviews and checks it. If the application contains errors, it is sent to the business entity for revision. If no restrictions or violations are identified, a permit is created based on the request and approved either manually or automatically.

Some applications are sent to the veterinary department of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation (VU) for approval.

The VU either approves the issuance of a permit based on the application sent for approval, or, if there are any comments or restrictions, their reason is indicated and the application is rejected. After this, the application is sent back to the UVN.

The UVN decided to issue a permit to import products. In this case, an electronic permit document is automatically sent to the business entity, the veterinary department of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation and all territorial departments specified in the permit.

Information about it becomes available to all border veterinary control points specified in the permit.

The cargo arrives at the checkpoint. Initial information about the cargo is entered into the subsystem of the border veterinary control point. The inspector of the border veterinary control point carries out documentary control of the cargo and initial information about the cargo is entered into the subsystem of the border veterinary control point. If the system has decided to conduct a veterinary inspection of the cargo, the veterinary inspector carries out physical control and information about the act of veterinary and sanitary inspection of the cargo, the issued conclusion and other information is entered into the system. If any violations are detected, the cargo is detained at the checkpoint.

The actual information about the consignment entered at the border veterinary control point is transmitted to the relevant territorial department, the Veterinary Supervision Department and other subsystems.

System update

Automated system "Argus" is constantly being improved and is regularly updated due to changes made. The system update process occurs on the server and does not affect the user's work.

Let's talk about bread called artos. What is this product? Translated from Greek, “artos” means “leavened bread”; it is also called whole prosphora. It was prepared according to special church recipes.

Throughout Bright Week, the consecrated bread in the church occupies a place where everyone can see it - next to the icon of the resurrection of the Lord. When the service ends, artos is distributed to all believers. How to use it correctly? This is what we will talk about.

Artos: what is this?

The use of this miracle bread began at the very beginning of Christianity, on the day when Jesus Christ ascended to heaven.

His believing disciples and those who followed him were very worried about his death and consoled themselves with the help of various prayers, in which they remembered his every action (word, step). When they prayed, together remembering the secret evening meeting, they always took communion at the same time. When getting ready to eat, they deliberately left an empty place at their table, and they always put bread for the invisible but present Lord.

Easter

The first shepherds of the church, imitating the apostles, did the same thing at Easter. This was an expression of the fact that the one who suffered for humanity became real bread for everyone, symbolizing life itself. Church bread artos is baked in a special way. There is an image of a cross on it, and only Jesus crucified is visible but not. This is done so that believers see victory over death itself. Even on Easter, the letters XB are depicted on sacred bread.

Belief

An ancient church tradition is also associated with this product. It lies in the fact that the apostles at the table left a small part of the bread - this was the share of the Mother of God. In this way they reminded themselves of constant communication with her and after eating, they shared this part among themselves with all trepidation. In all monasteries this tradition is called the “Rite of Panagia”, which means remembrance of the Mother of God. In parish churches this is done once a year; the custom is associated with the crushing of the artos.

It is consecrated with a special prayer, sprinkled, and on the first day of Easter they go to all liturgies, as soon as the prayer behind the pulpit, which is read by the priest himself, ends. It is so called because to pronounce it, the reader descends from a raised platform in front of the altar, the outermost projection of which is called the pulpit. But usually the priest, in order to read the prayer behind the pulpit, does not descend, but stands on it, because from this elevation everything is perfectly audible to those present in the church.

The artos is placed on the sole (this is a raised platform in front of the iconostasis, as if a continuation of the altar), opposite on a specially prepared table. And a special prayer is read for the sacrament of its fragmentation. During this ritual, there is a church minister present who helps the priest conduct the rituals, but has no right to perform them independently), parishioners and, of course, the priest. The prayer he reads talks about the miracle created by Christ, when he fed the needy people with five loaves of bread, despite all their illnesses and sins. People ask the Holy Trinity for the sacred artos to give health to the body and internal state. They praise God and thank him for his endless kindness and love for people.

After the bread is blessed, it, together with the stand on which it lies, is placed on a raised platform in front of the image of the Savior himself. The bread is there throughout Holy Week.

Artos is taken on all days of this holiday. We’ll find out how to use it correctly a little later. When the liturgy with the sacred Easter cake ends, a religious procession is held around the temple in a solemn atmosphere. On Saturday, after the prayer behind the pulpit, another prayer is read - for grinding the artos. It is broken up at the very end of the liturgy, when the cross is kissed, after which it is distributed to everyone present as a shrine, then a prayer is read for the acceptance of the artos. It says that bread and water, prepared in a special way in church with certain prayers and mood, can strengthen a person’s health and fortitude. He believes that he can become a better person with the help of God, who treats people mercifully, as the saints and the Mother of God pray for all humanity.

Those small particles (antidor) of the holy bread that were distributed in the church are very carefully kept at home in a corner next to the icons.

How to store it correctly?

It is imperative to remember that everything that comes into contact with the shrine requires special, careful and attentive handling. For example, the paper in which artos or prosphora was wrapped must be burned. At home, you need to store the consecrated product with the utmost care. It is best to let the artos lie in a specially designated place.

If the shrine cannot be used further...

If the bread has spoiled and mold has appeared on it, then it must be brought to the Temple and given to the priest, so that he can burn it according to all the rules and with special prayers.

Ritual

For a very long time there has been a tradition of sewing on laces in order to carry and store prosphora. If you have one, then there is no need for any bags, and you will no longer be afraid that the blessed bread may be dropped or forgotten somewhere. And in the moment of some kind of trouble, you can take out the artos with peace of mind. These bags are called prosphora bags or prosphora bags; they are often very beautifully decorated with rhinestones or beads, various embroideries and ribbons. You can sew them yourself or buy them in church shops.

Many parishioners who have recently come to thoughts about God and decided to devote their lives to prayers for their family and friends do not know the rules and wonder what kind of bread this is - artos, and how to take it correctly. Now let's try to understand this matter a little.

Artos bread: how to eat it?

Believers take all prayers and pieces of sacred bread very seriously, therefore, when they bring it into their home, they dry it and store it strictly in some jar or box. Artos is bread that can only be used for special needs, for example, during a severe illness or out of hopelessness, when trouble comes one after another, for peace of mind. The sacred product is eaten only on an empty stomach, washed down with holy water!

So we learned about artos, that it is a great shrine and plays a big role in the life of Christians. But in order to properly crush it into small particles, it must first be baked. This is the recipe for baking great bread.

Recipe

Take 1 kg 200 g of flour, preferably premium quality. Pour a little holy water into the bottom of the bowl where the dough will be kneaded. Pour in 400 g of flour and pour over very hot water. This is done to impart sweetness and resistance to mildew. Mix everything and cool. Then add salt, having previously diluted it in holy water, and add 25 g of yeast. Mix everything well and wait 30 minutes. Next, add flour (800 g) and mix again. As soon as the dough has risen, place it on the table and roll it out with a rolling pin into sheets of the required thickness.

Cut into circles; for the lowest part of the artos, make a larger circle. Then cover with a damp towel, and then with a dry one, and wait another 30 minutes. A stamp is placed on the top. Then both parts need to be lubricated with warm water and connected. Pierce both parts to prevent voids from forming. Then place on a baking sheet and bake in the oven until done. Small ones are baked for 15 minutes, service ones - about 20 minutes.

Conclusion

We already know what artos is, how to eat this bread and its small crushed parts. Be sure to read a special prayer and drink it with holy water. You need to take artos very carefully, without spilling a single crumb, so you need to do this over a clean sheet of white paper or saucer. If you are a true Christian, then all the rules of this sacrament are clear to you, and artos is bread that you have already tried more than once in your life.
