A video stylized as the film “17 Moments of Spring” was later published, but sources stated that it was edited after the publication of the photographs.

After the scandal, the prosecutor's office brought charges against several media outlets and online resources for publishing photographs of Vadim Gromyko in a Nazi uniform. The supervisory agency saw in them a violation of Part 1 of Art. 20.3 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Propaganda and public display of Nazi paraphernalia or symbols).
