In April 2011, photos of Yevgeny Gromyko’s son in the uniform of an SS officer appeared on social networks. The son of the vice-governor explained that the shots were taken after filming an amateur congratulations, in which he played the role of Stirlitz. A video stylized as the film “17 Moments of Spring” was later published, but sources stated that it was edited after the publication of the photographs.
After the scandal, the prosecutor's office brought charges against several media outlets and online resources for publishing photographs of Vadim Gromyko in a Nazi uniform. The supervisory agency saw in them a violation of Part 1 of Art. 20.3 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Propaganda and public display of Nazi paraphernalia or symbols).

Over the years, Evgeniy Gromyko owned 100% of VIP Beisug Management Company LLC and New Agrarian Technologies LLC (livestock husbandry), as well as 67.22% of Keramik LLC (production of building structures), 50% of Agrofirma Alpico LLC. and 20% of Maryanskoye LLC (agriculture).

Ministry of Agriculture after Tkachev
