What do they teach at the FSB Academy? Academy of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation Where to go to work in the FSB

The FSB Academy differs from other similar educational institutions in that only the best and brightest young people graduate from it and become real, smart and enterprising soldiers.

Having received an education at the FSB Academy, young graduates are not called up to serve in hot spots to defend their homeland, but they have to take up arms quite often. In addition, after fully graduating from the FSB Academy, almost anyone can get a highly paid and prestigious job, which includes many different benefits intended for its employees from various departments.

If we compare other military institutions, it is much easier to enter them than to enter the FSB. In fact, getting into the ranks of the FSB is quite difficult. This is mainly due to the fact that young people are trying to get into the academy located in Moscow, where the passing grade is too high. Also, many applicants initially have worthy qualities and excellent physical data, which is primarily valued in incoming applicants. Therefore, the competition for places is quite high. It is important to note the fact that admission rules have changed slightly over the years. Previously, only guys who had completed compulsory military service could submit their applications for admission. Now there is no particular need to do this. When studying at the FSB Academy, each student goes through the military department, where he is able to learn all the basics of military affairs.

It is important to note that when entering the academy, each student faces a number of difficulties. Basically, this no longer depends on the talents and skills of the young man. If a medical examination is not passed, then, no matter how talented a person is, he will simply not be accepted into the ranks of the academy’s employees. At first glance, this seems like a normal procedure, but it is in the FSB that such checks are much more demanding than in any other military institutions.

Before deciding on the place of admission, you need to find out everything about the structure of training and how to enter the FSB Academy. In fact, training at the Moscow FSB Academy is quite dense due to the factors that students study several specialties at once. That is why, at the Moscow FSB Academy, it is believed that in this way they will be able to prepare real fighters who will always be ready for almost any unexpected situation. Therefore, every student at this academy knows at the level of a sapper how to properly defuse a bomb, and also masters many martial arts. At the FSB Academy there are several departments that are available for each student to choose from. These include: the Faculty of Cryptography, as well as the Faculty of Informatics and Communications. While studying at these faculties, each student receives professional training not only for military operations, but also for tactical maneuver. It is these qualities that are necessary for a fighter in any war, as well as during the normal work of the FSB during the fulfillment of clearly defined goals and during survival.

For those wishing to enter the FSB Academy, it is important to know all the details of their future profession; this will help a person make a choice and understand what he will do for the rest of his life in the coming years.

FSB is the Federal Security Service, which was created on April 12, 1995 in Russian Federation by order of President Boris Yeltsin. Its main tasks include: fighting crime, as well as intelligence and providing authorities with adequate information. Therefore, in order to get into the service there, you must successfully graduate from the FSB Academy. Many school students begin preparing to enter the academy as early as the tenth grade, attending special preparatory courses directly at the academy itself. This is, of course, an excellent opportunity to become better acquainted with the field of activity, as well as with the teachers, because it is they who will then take the entrance exams to the FSB Academy. And for this you will need to pass not only entrance exams, but also pass all the main levels of testing.

Of course, to be enrolled in the academy, you must have at least a secondary education or a higher education diploma. It is also important to undergo a special medical examination and show a very high level of physical fitness. After which it is necessary to go through a procedure that allows you to obtain all clearances for secret government information.

In addition, the basic requirements also include age at admission. The applicant has the right to apply at the age of 16-24 years, and also have excellent physical preparation. If a person meets all these requirements, then he has every chance to successfully enter the academy. The first step is to submit an application for admission. Thus, you will receive a notification about all faculties, as well as the basic rules for admission to them. School graduates can submit an application at their place of residence to the territorial bodies of the FSB. Those who are already in the ranks of military service should submit an application at the place of service to the specific departments of their military counterintelligence.

After the applicant has written an application, he must undergo an interview with the dean of the future faculty himself, as well as with representatives of the personnel service of the FSB of the Russian Federation. After which, at your place of residence you need to undergo a planned psychophysiological and medical examination in a special medical service FSB.

The next stage of admission is entrance exams, which are conducted in writing. They are compiled taking into account the curriculum of secondary schools. To do this, you need to pass the appropriate exams for admission, depending on the chosen specialization and faculty. The main general education subjects in the admission exams are: Russian language, mathematics and physics. If the assessment of knowledge in the Russian language is carried out based on two criteria, such as “pass” or “fail”. Subjects such as physics and mathematics will be assessed on a ten-point system. It is important to note that those individuals who graduated from secondary general education schools with a bronze, silver or gold medal, as well as students who graduated from general education institutions and have a diploma of secondary vocational education. They are entitled to take only one exam. This number also includes participants in international Olympiads; they are also enrolled in the academy without preliminary exams. Such students are mainly trained in those specialties that correspond to the profile of the Olympiad events they have completed. Also, if they receive maximum positive grades, they have the right to be exempt from other exams and be enrolled in the academy out of turn. If they receive other grades, they take the entrance exams along with everyone else. Enrollment is based on the number of points scored - on a competitive basis. The scores are summed up taking into account the entrance exams, as well as the Unified State Examination. These basic requirements are for those who are interested in how to enter the FSB Academy after 11th grade. At the same time, the age of those entering the academy is also important, which is calculated at the moment when the process of enrolling them in studies takes place. Applications for admission must be submitted 6 months before the start of the admissions campaign. Young people on a civilian basis submit documents to the relevant FSB authorities at their place of residence. So, military personnel submit documents to the military counterintelligence departments at their place of service. And employees who serve in the FSB agencies submit a report for admission to a special command. Every person who wants to enter the FSB Academy should know these main points.

After completing their studies at the academy, successful students have every right to work in their specialty. To do this, the candidate for service must submit an application in which he expresses his desire to join the FSB. You also need a document that will prove your identity (preferably a passport, and for the military, an officer’s ID card). It is also necessary to provide copies of documents in the prescribed manner confirming professional or other education, as well as a copy of the work record book. You will also need copies of documents certified in a certain order, namely a marriage certificate and birth certificate of children. You must also have with you a completed and signed application form for a candidate who has decided to enroll in long-term military service (under contract). You also need to compose an autobiography, in any written form by hand. Copies of death certificates of your close relatives. An important role is played by personal recommendations of persons serving in the FSB department (this also includes an objective description of a given candidate, made in writing). Also, you need to remember about the photographs that are attached to all documents.

The process of checking and studying each candidate takes quite a long time, usually up to three months. After which the HR employee informs the candidate about the decision made.

Each person accepted into the service of the FSB signs a non-disclosure agreement regarding the information he receives. For violation of duties, an employee may lose his job and face criminal liability.

Defense of the state has always been an honorable activity. The people directly implementing it enjoyed great honor and authority in society. In addition, the constant wars that were fought throughout human history significantly enriched members of the military class. In some countries, the military was considered the highest caste with the most rights. A great example is the Japanese samurai. However, on the territory of our fatherland, warriors and their achievements have also been glorified at all times. It should be noted that the training system for such people is of great importance. After all, the need for professional military personnel will never go away. The system of training soldiers itself requires a special approach, since their skill consists not only of physical strength, but also of certain psychological qualities. In this case, it is worth noting the specifics of training the elite of all armed and security forces, that is, intelligence and state security. The last structure performs in modern world extremely important functional tasks. Therefore, the training of its representatives should be carried out at top level. In the Russian Federation today there is a Federal Security Service. This department is responsible for ensuring the security of our country. Specialists for its ranks are trained at a special FSB Academy.

What's happened

As mentioned earlier, in any state, security forces play an important role. The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation belongs to such formations. The number of the department is currently classified. The main task is to provide for the Russian Federation.

It should be noted that the FSB, according to existing legislation, is the body that is authorized to carry out operational investigative activities. The department is replenished through recruitment for military and civil service. According to regulations regulating the work of the FSB, its activities are carried out in the following areas, namely:

Counterintelligence;

Fight against terrorism;

Intelligence activities;

Border activities;

Information Security;

Fighting especially dangerous crime.

The main department is the security of the Russian Federation.

General information about the higher education institution

The Academy of the Russian Federation is a military institution that trains officers for the FSB. In addition, this institution also trains personnel for other intelligence agencies, as well as special services of friendly states. That is, we are talking about a complex military institution with a fairly broad training base.

The Academy was created in 1992 by a special presidential decree. The basis for the formation of this institution was graduate School KGB named after Felix Edmundovich Dzerzhinsky.

History of the academy's creation

The FSB Academy, whose faculties are presented in the article, begins its history with the courses of the All-Russian Emergency Commission, formed in 1921. The courses trained operational personnel for the Cheka. It is worth noting that a significant contribution to the training was made by teachers who had quite a lot of operational experience gained in carrying out special operations “Trust” and “Syndicate”. In 1934, fundamental changes took place in the structure of the state's law enforcement agencies.

The People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs is created. This leads to the creation of the Central School of the Main Directorate of State Security within the structure of the Soviet NKVD. During the Second World War, the educational institution graduated several thousand workers who managed to organize a fairly effective fight against the Nazis. The next reform of the school took place in 1952. On its basis, the Higher School of the USSR Ministry of State Security was formed. In 1962, this educational institution was named after Felix Edmundovich Dzerzhinsky.

Academy structure

The FSB Academy, the faculties of which are presented in the article, trains personnel in many specialties that are in demand today in law enforcement and military departments. The structure of a higher institution contains three main segments within which training is carried out.

1) The Institute for Training Operational Staff provides qualified training of personnel in a number of main areas of activity of the FSB. Within this division of the academy there are investigative and counterintelligence departments. In both cases, graduates of the institution receive a diploma in the specialty “Legal Support of National Security”. The first trains employees of the FSB investigative units, and the second trains operational workers. At the same time, the counterintelligence faculty trains employees in two specific areas: operational activities with knowledge foreign languages and knowledge of modern information technologies.

2) The second division of the academy is the Institute of Cryptography, Communications and Informatics. Its graduates today are rightfully considered the best specialists in the field of information security. At the end of the training, employees are given the qualification “information security specialist.”

3) The Faculty of Foreign Languages is the youngest department of the university. It was created in 1990. The faculty trains professional translators for the FSB.

Features of admission - first stages

There are many features of the recruitment process that the FSB Academy is famous for. Faculties and specialties of different directions are replenished with personnel on absolutely equal terms. The first stage of selection is a medical examination. To enter the academy you must be in good health. It will be checked throughout the entire period of study at the institution.

The second stage is the polygraph. Many applicants mistakenly consider such a test to be something easy. However, the polygraph tests a person’s honesty, respect for military service, his amenability to control, etc. Therefore, the test must be approached as seriously as possible.

Special exams and physical fitness assessment

If the applicant does not have any comments regarding his mental and physiological level, then he is allowed to take the internal exams. Physical fitness is tested in three tests: pull-ups, 100-meter run and 3000-meter run.

Additional tests are exams in individual disciplines. To enter a particular faculty, knowledge in various subjects is tested. For example, the investigative unit conducts additional exams in social studies and the Russian language, and the Institute of Cryptography conducts additional exams in physics and mathematics. Before entering, it’s a good idea to take advantage of special preparatory courses that improve the level of applicants.

Learning process

The FSB Academy, the faculties of which are presented in the article, prepares. The learning process is quite complex and specific. Students actively study law, mathematics and foreign languages. Much attention is paid to physical training, as it is one of the major subjects. Most items are classified. Some subjects are taught in such a way that even pens, let alone notes, cannot be taken out of the classrooms.

Daily life of students

The fact that studying at the FSB Academy can greatly unite people is not an exaggeration. Throughout all years of service, students at this institution are in almost constant contact with each other. But these are not all the features of preparation. For example, it is not advisable for students to distribute records of their studies in in social networks. Talking to friends about it is also prohibited.

It should be noted that a large proportion of all students are girls. They, equally with representatives of the stronger sex, can declare that they were forged as professionals by the famous FSB Academy. “Faculties for girls” is a common misconception. There are simply no such units. Girls enter along with boys into those faculties that are provided for by the structure of the higher educational institution.

Academy management

For many years, the academy was headed by representatives of senior officers. Today the head is Viktor Vasilievich Ostroukhov. He holds the rank of Colonel General. At one time, Viktor Vasilyevich Ostroukhov graduated from the Higher Red Banner School of the KGB. In addition to military activities, he also conducts scientific activities and is a doctor of legal sciences.

So, we looked at what the FSB Academy is. Faculties, exams and specifics of training were presented in the article. In conclusion, it is worth noting that working in state security agencies is not suitable for everyone. But if you have firmly decided to become an employee of this department, then you need to discard any doubts and persistently pursue your goal.

The FSB is the security agency of the Russian Federation and its citizens. Graduates of various universities and military personnel dream of joining it. However, it is important to understand that candidates for the FSB are selected with special care and according to a special scheme. Let us consider in detail how to get a job in this body and what requirements the candidate must meet.

Physical training

Applicants for service in the FSB are required to meet a number of physical training requirements. The candidate must be at least 175 cm tall and under 28 years of age. You will need to pass physical fitness standards:

  • pull-up on the bar;
  • 3 km cross;
  • 100m run in 12 seconds;
  • hand-to-hand combat.

Education and health

The candidate must have a higher, secondary specialized or complete education. But it is important to take into account that if you pass the selection, you will have to additionally study at a school or academy of the FSB.

Special requirements are placed on the candidate’s health. It will be necessary to undergo a serious medical commission, which will determine the applicant’s suitability for service in the FSB. At the same time, if he has serious illnesses, then the probability of passing the selection is low.

Professional suitability

When selecting candidates for service in the FSB, special attention is paid to professional suitability. Special tests are used for this. They allow you to determine the level of intelligence and speed of thinking of a candidate, his psychological suitability for the chosen position, communication skills, and ability to solve difficult problems in a limited time interval and with a minimum amount of resources.

Candidate verification

Before joining the FSB, you must pass a background check. The service authorities carefully study the applicant’s personal file, as well as information about his family and relatives. It is important to note that this procedure begins only after the candidate’s consent. If he objects or ignores the notification, he is automatically excluded from applicants for service in the FSB.

Preparation of documents

To apply for service in the FSB, you must provide this body with the following package of documents:

  1. A handwritten application requesting consideration of his candidacy for a job in the security forces. It must indicate that you know what restrictions are imposed on FSB employees in accordance with current legislation.
  2. An autobiography, which must be written independently in free form and by hand.
  3. Questionnaire of the established form.
  4. Personal documents: military ID, passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, document on receipt of education, marriage or birth certificate of children (if any).
  5. Documents of close relatives: passports and civil registration certificates.
  6. Information about property, income and other property-related obligations (mortgage, pledge, etc.).
  7. Photos of the candidate of the established standard.
  8. Extract from the house register for the family.

The applicant’s application and package of documents are reviewed by the FSB within 15-30 days. If his candidacy is approved, an interview with his parents will be scheduled in the coming days. A written consent is taken from them confirming that they do not object to their child serving in the FSB.

Reasons for refusal

Now let’s look at the reasons why a candidate may be denied service in the Federal Security Agency of the Russian Federation:

  • unsatisfactory results of the military medical commission;
  • declaring the candidate incompetent;
  • have citizenship of another country;
  • the candidate or his relatives lived or live in another state;
  • frequent trips to other countries;
  • inconsistencies in biographical and personal data were identified;
  • unsatisfactory results in physical training;
  • the candidate did not score required amount test scores.

The Federal Security Service of Russia ensures the security of the Russian state and all its inhabitants. The identification of this structure opens many doors better than a grenade, it puts people into a stupor and awe, because they don’t talk much about the FSB and what they do there, what they do, what kind of people work is unclear. The memory of the Cheka, the NKVD and the KGB, formidable predecessors who helped the state exist in particularly difficult times, also affects.

The dream of being in the ranks of the defenders of the Fatherland visits many young minds. Everyone knows how to end up at a factory or a technical university, but how to get into the FSB?

Selection system

There is a strict selection system for special forces. It includes a thorough health check, compliance with height, weight, and vision parameters. The candidate and his relatives may be checked within a month. After all, to serve in the FSB of Russia you only need to have Russian citizenship, and the presence of relatives abroad can become an insurmountable obstacle.

All checks are followed by psychological tests and passing physical standards. Each department has its own standards, but the average candidate in any case needs to monitor his health, run a hundred meters in 14 seconds and a kilometer in 4 minutes 25 seconds.

FSB officers are the elite among civil servants, both in terms of intellectual indicators and strength. Therefore, having titles, awards in sports competitions, major Olympics will be a plus for you. It is also advisable not to have a history of serious injuries or illnesses, such as concussions or large scars. During a medical examination, everything is examined, down to moles and tattoos.

There are two types of FSB candidates: those who have recommendations from current employees or veterans, and those who do not. If you are from the second type, then they will look at you much more carefully and, if a candidate with characteristics is vying for the same place as you, then, most likely, they will choose him.

Before thinking about how to get into the FSB, you should decide for yourself that your future life will be connected with serving the state. This means certain restrictions for life, restrictions on movement, on traveling abroad. In exchange there will be a package of privileges, government benefits and much more, depending on position and merit.

If you agree with this, then you need to be honest on tests. By order of the FSB of the Russian Federation dated April 13, 2011, each candidate must be tested for toxic, drug, and alcohol addiction. You are also required to undergo a psychological examination, including a polygraph.

Required documents

Have you started to think about how to get into the FSB? Collect documents. Here is an approximate package of documents that a candidate needs to collect:

  • An application for consideration of a candidacy with consent to the restrictions that are imposed on the FSB officer and with the agreement that personal data will be thoroughly examined.
  • Autobiography. Everything is simple here: you are not required to write an essay, you need to correctly describe what family you grew up in, who your parents are, what school you attended, what university you attended, and your marital status.
  • Questionnaire according to form No. 4.
  • Personal documents in the form of a passport, military ID, driver’s license, education documents, international passport (if any).
  • Documents of direct relatives.
  • Certificate of income, existing property and material obligations (for example, a loan).
  • The set also requires photographs, like a passport, since for each candidate a file is opened in several copies.

FSB structure

The FSB of Russia has several departments. Each of them requires qualified personnel. You can choose according to your abilities and preferences and strive for the goal. The most famous department is the border control service. All border guards are checked and belong to this structure. The second most famous department is counterintelligence, that’s where the guys’ dream is, that’s where the special forces are, the operational work.

One of the main opponents of the world order is terrorism. The FSB has a department for combating terrorism, interstate and within the country. Here extremists, rioters and other unstable elements are identified and processed.

The remaining departments are no less important, but not as well known. There is a scientific and technical center that is responsible for communications, information security, and is engaged in scientific developments. There is a center for ensuring the security of the country's economy, which is responsible for order in the structure of transport, industry, and the credit and financial sphere. There is also a department for international contacts, a personnel department and a department that synchronizes the work of the entire structure.

Serving in the FSB is an honorable occupation, but not always easy. Not many people choose this path.

FSB special forces

It is impossible not to mention the famous group "Alpha". This is a legendary combat unit created back in the Soviet Union. An appeal is a written statement by the applicant about the error, in his opinion, of the grade given on the additional admissions test. During the appeal process, only the correctness of the grade is checked. Consideration of the appeal is not a re-passing of additional entrance tests.

43. The appeal is submitted on the day the score obtained in the additional entrance test is announced.

Before filing an appeal, the applicant has the right to review his work in the presence of a member of the subject examination committee.

An applicant who wishes to file an appeal must have an identification document with him. The applicant has the right to be present during the appeal hearing.

One of the parents or legal representatives has the right to be present with a minor applicant (under 18 years of age).

44. If it is necessary to change the assessment (increase or downgrade), the decision of the appeal commission is formalized by an act, in accordance with which changes are made to the assessment in exam paper applicant, examination sheet and examination sheet of the applicant.

If disagreements arise, a vote is held in the appeal commission, and the decision is approved by a majority vote. The decision of the appeal commission is brought to the attention of the applicant (against signature). This decision is final and cannot be revised.

45. The fact that the applicant has familiarized himself with the Rules for filing and considering appeals based on the results of additional entrance tests at the Academy is recorded in the examination sheet and certified by the personal signature of the applicant.

IV. Procedure for holding the competition

46. Applicants who have successfully passed additional entrance examinations and have positive results on the Unified State Examination participate in a competition held by the Academy’s admissions committee.

47. Applicants participating in the competition must submit educational documents (originals) no later than one day before the meeting of the admissions committee for enrollment.

48. The results of the competition are summed up according to passing score, determined from the ratio of the number of applicants who successfully passed the entrance examination and the number of study places at the relevant faculty.

The passing score is set separately for each faculty (educational program).

For non-resident candidates, the passing score is determined taking into account the number of places to live in the hostel.

49. If all the necessary requirements are met, applicants who have scored a number of points equal to the passing score or more than the passing score when passing additional entrance tests are considered to have passed the competition.

If applicants who have scored the same number of points participate in the competition, applicants who have scored more points in the core subject have priority.

50. Applicants who did not pass the competition for training in the chosen educational program, have the right to participate in a competition for training in another educational program, provided that additional entrance tests and Unified State Exam subjects coincide.

51. As additional entrance tests, the admissions committee, at the request of applicants, counts the results of:

winners and prize-winners of the “Interregional Olympiad for schoolchildren in mathematics and cryptography”;

winners and prize-winners of the “Interregional Olympiad for schoolchildren on the basis of departmental educational institutions” in physics, mathematics and foreign languages.
Winners and prize-winners of the Olympiads are equal to those who scored 100 points when passing an additional entrance test in a general education subject corresponding to the profile of the Olympiad.

The decision to provide benefits for winners and prize-winners of other school Olympiads held in the manner established by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia is made by the admissions committee before July 1, 2016.

52. Personal files and materials for applicants who did not pass the competition must be returned to the security authorities (departments).

53. Applicants who are not enrolled in training are sent to their place of residence (to the place of completion military service) in the manner established by the current legislation of the Russian Federation and departmental legal acts.
